I'd have perhaps not overlapped the last week with the community event, but Lunar is designed to be a low key festival thankfully so it doesn't require too much investment. Personally I find Lunar does it's thing just fine. We have a pretty full year of festivals in GW2 so it's nice to have that doesn't require much time. As for the race, well it's no different to the Wintersday one - it's just a different route. It's not something most people prob care about actually racing in. Don't think I'd make any changes to it. Maybe more minis Plus I make money for doing nothing and got the last few shards for my 10th legendary so that's a 2 year project finally finished off.

There was speculation it might be related to who Anet use for taking payments. Not sure if true of course Steam release is on hold anyway so maybe let’s wait for the actual release before kicking off

I'm pretending the CMs don't exist. That way I can't be tempted to grind

In in pve if I'm not in combat, then I'm zooming about on a mount - and more often than not the skyscale or raptor. Titlting isn't going to crop up when flying or leaping around. I'be tried to play HoT more in the traditional non mount way recently so that's why I've started noticing it

I doubt anyone has ever monitored it to be honest I suspect the points system is tied to a feature that is prob disabled on the GW2 version of these forums and thus makes it utterly pointless. It's a number with no reason to exist as far as I can tell

Aha explains why I couldn't find anything on the desktop version. Never noticed those before, but then again I've only looked at the mobile settings once

If you mean the stars, the simplest way of looking at it is your level of participation on the forums. The more stars, the more you interact (comments, replies etc) on the forums (max 4 stars)

The time for info is after Icebrood Saga finishes. Then they will start rolling out the information. Yes ANet are generally poor at marketing and promoting their product, but generally ignoring what other MMO's do with their launches is something that has worked out for them over the years. There is always something to compete with, so better just to do their own thing. Whether they reveal now or in May, it's not really going to make a huge amount of difference

Multiple reasons, but Anet are no longer keen on hype these days. Even PoF only had a few months notice before it revealed anything. One of the key reasons is to avoid spoilers. EoD will clearly tie heavily into the consequences of Icebrood Saga. They have never revealed the content of the next big expansion before a season has ended to avoid any possibility of giving away what might be happening or diluting the eventual reveals I'd expect most players are eager for the content, but understanding that it's not ready for a reveal yet.
