  4. We'll just have to disagree then. They cut it for a reason and as far as I'm concerned, that was the right call. After the angle of aligning with the Frost Legion which was also jarring to me, I'm glad they chose to hold off on this one and not just cram in an alliance which doesn't really fit

From there, you have access to the other Path of Fire maps for the springer, skimmer, and jackal mounts, which you gain by leveling up mastery points (earned in the region) and completing renown hearts. There's also a hidden mount that's only accessible through collections after you've completed the Path of Fire story. > > For the rollerbeetle, warclaw, and skyscale mounts....I'm not really sure what you need to do to obtain those, so hopefully someone much more knowledgeable than myself can give you an answer! :) - Warclaw requires Path of Fire on your account and using WvW ability points to rank up in the Warclaw ability track. It should be the first skill you unlock in that track - Rollerbeetle requires access to Living World Season 4 and especially episode 3 where you unlock the collections for getting it from the story mode - Skyscale requires access to all of Living World Season 4 and is started after you finish the story mode of Ep6. It's a long, but soloable series of things to complete and grind across all episodes As said above, all mounts require Path of Fire on the account. The first mount (raptor) requires doing the first story (must be level 80). Only the WvW Warclaw requires no pve content Mounts when obtained have skills awarded via the mastery track system. If the OP needs info on that, the Wiki is the best place to explain it

They had no set up for it we went to Grotmar after no flame legion lore since 2013 and they were just like "yep a ton of flame legion charr are actually great guys." > > > > To my understanding, it’s a splinter faction of the flame legion that had joined the United Legions. I imagine there are still some unaccounted for flame legion with the old ideals. > > Yeah it is a splinter faction, the same way the dominion was a splinter of all the bad charr in all the other legions as well, same with sons of svonir, same with the modern crescent, the inquest, etc, but thats sort of my point. ALL of a group of people are never evil. They could easily explain centaurs being allies if some of the centaur just dont want to fight anymore. if the people of ebonhawk can make peace with the charr i dont see why its so out of the question for the people of kryta. There's a few diferences to keep in mind - The Charr are in general, a more civilised species -ancestrally warlike perhaps, but a more well rounded society. Yes, the Flame Legion were barbaric and religious, but a splinter group rejoining civilisation (and that's what Efraam etc did when they were invited back into the fold) is more likely here compared to the centaurs who have no such place to turn to. There's no advanced society of centaurs that we are aware of for them to turn to or be invited back to. And to just join the other races would be very very weird. The centaurs now are more akin to the flame legion in GW1 and it took a long revolution for that to change - The centaurs haven't shown any tendency for peace inKryta. They were still making war on humans as recently as LS3. I would have no doubt the bloodstone infection on them has not improved their outlook towards humanity either - No centaur tribe has shown any tendency to care about the dragon threat to want to ally with anyone. The splinter Flame Legion group understood the threat of Jormag at least - The centaurs took a considerable kicking in the war. I suspect there is not much left for them to give. The flame legion aren't an allied faction - they are part of a now united Charr race There is at least good reason why the Flame Legion group reunited with the World to do what they did. It may be a little jarring, but the nuances of their race allow it to happen. No such nuance for the centaurs exist... yet. Could an alliance exist? In theory, but it needs to be seeded. There needs to be something substantial for that to happen first. So for the writers to decide it wasn't going to work without the correct build up is the right call. They get a lot of criticism for not giving over time for things and rightfully so, but here it is the correct decision. The time for establishing Centaur relations can happen later when they have the time and scope to develop it For them to have brought the centaurs in in Champions would have at least required some earlier focus on them in the Icebrood Saga.

Are you thinking of the ones that used to live in the Silverwastes? Yes I am, apologies I’ll edit my error

I wouldn't think centaur changing their attitudes would be any different from the flame legion suddenly being the most noble char legion in IBS. That’s why I specifically mentioned Krytan Centaurs who have yet to show any tolerance or tendencies to peace unlike their Maguuma Wastes cousins It is unclear how many tribes even exist elsewhere given their species was seriously under threat from all sources and devastated by war and we know the Silverwsstes tribe was wiped out. Any others in the area are unlikely to be numerous enough or inclined enough to ally with us An alliance could work, but not without set up and there are no known peaceful tribes yet introduced
  10. The thing is, Krytan Centaurs suddenly joining Humans and other races after years of xenophobia and no lead in would be even more jarring. People are already criticising the recent releases for rushing through dialogue and plot points too quickly as some kind of tick box exercise. If Centaurs suddnely became an allied faction, then that would really give fuel to that. When I saw them in the trailer, I had expected them to be more of a flavour in a map out that way. Something to give a map a bit of extra layering instead of fully focussed on just the icebrood. But, that never came to pass.
  11. One of my toons is an engineer - more precisely a scrapper. I've built him up to be quite tanky, albeit at the suffering of some dps. The gyros and shields you get are pretty useful at mitigating damage and with the hammer, you get additional blocks and cc. It may not be the most exciting build, but he stands up well enough against instanced bosses and survives without issue. Are you using any elite specs?
  12. You don't need to dodge out of an aoe circle. If you time it right, your dodge will evade the attack itself which will hit anywhere within that radius the boss lays down on the ground. If you are running out dodge, ensure you are bringing some skills which give you vigor - that speeds up your endurance bar getting back to full Switch to ranged or focus on Garm until she goes to rez him and then pile in - makung sure you break her blue bar with cc skills!. Repeat Or retry, not picking Braham and you wont get her as one of the bosses you fight. You will always get two depending on the NPCs you pick as allies
  13. The ls3 model had me wondering if they were going with a more salamander style shape. They did hint at retconning the GW1 model by saying that may not have been Primordus so I think it’ll be a unique shape if we see it in full
  14. A fair observation. There’s a few explainable possibilities ; - we don’t see all of the Shiverpeaks - The theme is used enough elsewhere the devs prob didn’t want to overuse them further - The devs likely wanted to keep the Shiverpeaks’ theme as a more spiritual wilderness and prob felt adding in visible sci fi areas took away from that feel

So it's limited to 1 per account then? Could well be, although it's nott here every day. People were reporting it was there and it got onto Wiki as well.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for those who didn't get it yet. I though the infusion was already added to the seal vendor, just on rotation? Plus the dwarf vendor is still there. You can get tokens from exchanging materials
  17. The Abaddon fractal was going to be the one released if the community voted for Evon Gnashblade to enter the LA Council. The community voted for Ellen Kiel so we got the Thaumonova Fractal instead. One of the devs in an interview let slip they were relieved because they knew exactly what they wanted to do for the Thaumnova one (given it tied directly into the Scarlet story) and had no real working plans for the Abaddon one. At the time, they said the decision wouldn't be reversed. Personally I think enough time has passed, but given most of those devs who worked on that release are long since gone, I suspect there's no such plan to ever return to it.
  18. It's unsolvable by us. Just keep reporting it via the in game report tool. Add in any info about what might have triggered it - eg whether you used mounts, combat, back items in use etc. I've written plenty of detailed reports, but I suspect it's a hard thing to pin down
  19. > @"Bloodtau.4672" said: > SO it's now nearly February, can we continue with it yet? Mine still appears stuck We continued with it from Jan 19th with Champion part 2. We will now need to wait for Champions part 3 which is due in March. In the mean time, we should get another community event somewhere around Feb 16th or at least these weapon recipes which I don't think are implemented yet

It was done solely because a very, very small number of players at the top of AP leaderboards kept complaining that they still have to keep putting effort in doing dailies to retain their leading position. > > > > I wonder how many of those people still play > > Well to stay on top they have to play new content every 2ish months right? Well yes, but I meant those who orignally complained - whether they still play. I don't really monitor the leaderboards to see if the same names are there year on year

I did 2 ebonhawke missions this morning - the first was a travesty, with people dying and each stage taking like half a minute at least. In the second run, we literally had 2-3 seconds between each stage. Boss AoE done, everyone rushed, snap your fingers and bam invoulnerable again. That's how fast it was. > > Anet has done a kitten poor job at explaining challenge modes though (the private DRMs and you have to activate each option). I did the jungle one (caithe whatever) with mobs+boss hp solo on my reaper. It was a slog but doable. I think the boss went down faster than some 5 man publics I've ran (the mobs was actually the only ones that managed to kill me once because I was careless). > > Some of them also require at least a moderate amount of thought for the specific encounter, its not just regular old champions. Forge is the perfect example. That reaper build I can roflstomp enemies with 15K perma-quickness autoattacks? Burns hurt bruh. That fight can quickly turn into just staying alive with constantly low hp and the threat of dying as soon as something sneeze on you, severly reducing your effectivness. In comparison running in there with my all gyro chronowell scrapper is face-tanking childsplay because I probably cleanse enough conditions for a 50 man zerg with all the combos. Doesnt have quite the same punch as the reaper, but right there far, far more effective for the entire group. You are quoting someone from November. I believe the bosses HP took a small reduction since then Otherwise, yes groups vary wildly. I was in a Thunderhead public mission that somehow took 30-40 mins. The next one was done in about 15-20. Interesting you mention scrapper because my scrapper was able to withstand that boss fairly easily as well.
