  2. Ep2 is one of the best LS episodes in the game. Some of the instance stuff needs some tweaks but overall excellent. The map storytelling for such a small map is up there with their best (and of course that trailer music is now somewhat legendary). I enjoyed every second I spent in the map. I'm looking forward to the next toon to run through it Ep1 is very strong, but is let down by the mess of Palawadan which isn't a great meta gameplaywise, let down by the atrocious special effects problems It was a very strong start for the story though. Lots of meat on the bones. It was an excellent start for a Living World season and keeping the Dragon stuff in the background whilst other stories were being told - and told with the right amount of time and attention given over to them - was the right move. Shame it all went downhill after that and all the good work was undone
  3. If it makes you feel better, I have a Celestial Weaver, Zealot's Guardian and Soldier's Warrior. Yes, the warrior wields a mace (as does the Guardian, but don't tell anyone!)
  4. Cozy Wintersday ones have snow falling around them The Shimmerwing skyscale skin has trails from the wings and an animation where you feed it a mushroom Mad Realm skins are very smoky and have bats flying around them you can dye Trailblazer roller beetle has dyeable flames on it Primeval skins I think have some effects to them If memory serves, the exo suit skins might have some unique sounds
  5. Or are you after the skin rather than the stats? If it's the skin, this might be more help https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Illustrious_armor

The question is, can I change the stats to marauder and then to svaard without Armorsmith? I have 500 in both leather and tailor but was lazy to train arm.smi. Marauder is Svaard isn't it? Regardless, your tailor can make the insgnia you need for stat swapping between axcended as stat swapping requires exotic insignias. You just need to purchase the recipe from somewhere Just make sure you open whatever chests you have and select heavy. The forge does all the stat swapping rather than your craft
  7. If you want ascended, then options are a bit limited, but it should be possible. I think wvw, raids and strikes might be options to look at. Fractals too, but that might require crafting a token or something for the vendors - I forget https://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Special:RunQuery/Equipment_query&Equipment_query%5Brarity%5D=Ascended&Equipment_query%5Bsupertype%5D=Armor&Equipment_query%5Bprefix%5D=marauder&_run Whilst you look at what is feasible to earn piece by piece, a look at exotic shows it is much easier to get by a long way. You need to get armour which is stat selectable. One of the most common ones is Verdant Brink's Bladed Armor set. I think this list covers stat selectable exotic armour for you - Marauders is what you want https://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Special:RunQuery/Equipment_query&Equipment_query%5Brarity%5D=Exotic&Equipment_query%5Bsupertype%5D=Armor&Equipment_query%5Bprefix%5D=marauder&_run (edited for clarity)

He used Omadd's Machine for this purpose, which he stole from us (it's the same machine that drove Scarlet crazy when she gazed into the very essence of existence): > > > > https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Omadd%27s_Machine > > https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scarlet_Briar > > Ah, so that's what eternal alchemy is. Thanks! > Why is there a question mark on Mordremoth? Didn't we kill him in HoT? Also back then, there was a little uncertainty about which spheres referred to which dragon. They don't have handy labels in the LS2 cutscene as they do in Ashantara's annotated image https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:The_All_(The_Machine).jpg

  12. Just so we are all on the same page, you've tried to buy the item from the vendor behind Ogden? Merchant {Support Mark Vendor] - he sells the infusion and other stuf for deldrimor tokens

Who is served by this haphazard mash of solo and grouped pseudo party instanced content? What is the intended experience for these players in this content? Public is for those of us who just want to run a daily DRM or the story and not worry about builds or what other players are doing. Yes, in many cases mechanics get ignored, but for a non-CRM mode run public is pretty much unfailable so the quicker time to get going balances out the longer time the instance takes. For now public works just fine. In 6 months time, it'll be much more of a struggle. I've only had 1 truly terrible DRM run (30-40 mins in Thunderhead) and one semi bad one in Fields of Ruin where the mechanics were ignored but the DRM didn't really suffer. The rest of the time, it's all been smooth sailing I doubt I'll return to them after the Champions release is all completed unless there are alts needing it. They are just not interesting enough or rewarding enough for 20 mins of gaming
  14. The machine was designed to kill both dragons with each other's opposing energies. She realises too late that it'll do that with devastating consequences to the World. Balthazar stole the machine and nearly killed them both in trying to absorb their magic, but we interrupted it before they could be destroyed and ended up sending both to sleep. Taimi blames herself for introducing/adapting the machine in the first place It all goes a bit wonky in Season 5 though
  15. It does what it tries to do very well, but it's not really me Into the bank it goes until I can find a look that works with it ![](https://i.imgur.com/kmzlV7i.jpg?1 "")

Rest is colors. 100% agree. I always look out for anyone not using flashy stuff and silly colours for something more organic. Based on another character or not, this is a well put together look

We don't even know who the great dwarf is. Since the dwarfs and glint were allies I always assumed the great dwarf was a converted dragon champ like glint but able to make people like the pale tree. The dwarfs could have been made flesh to break Primordus's control so they could build up their wills as mortals and resist his call like the sylvari were able to. Would also explain why the stone summit seem to now be allies to primirdus > > > > > > We know that the Great Dwarf technically is a god, like the human gods, even though he is the collective consciousness of **all** dwarves. > > > We know that he once walked on Tyria, like the Human Gods, but then moved into the Mists to rule over the Great Forge (the Dwarven afterlife). > > > Since he possessed the ability to move through the Mists before the dragons absorbed it from Balthazar, it's safe to say he never was a Dragon minion. > > > > We don't know it was an entity at all. All indications are that this is part of Dwarven mythology which had got twisted down the millennia into becoming a worshipable entity and it fact was a magical rite which united the consciousness of the Dwarves and converted them to be able to fight a racial enemy in Primordus from an earlier awakening > > > > There is no indication there ever was a Great Dwarf who created the race and then went off to this Great Forge in the Rift and exists there still. It appears to be nothing more than mythology. > > Well, when asked whether the Great Dwarf was _just_ the collective conscious, or a specific entity, Jeff Grubb (one of the two main lore writers at the time) effectively said that it could be both. > > > The Great Dwarf can best be thought of as collective consciousness of the dwarves themselves (indeed, in making the prophesy of the Great Dwarf defeating the Great Destroyer coming true). Has anyone MET the Great Dwarf, and found him to be a real being? Well, that has not happened. > > The whole question of gods is based upon culture. The humans have tangible, powerful beings that they can interact with – hence, gods. The spirits of the norn also fit that description, so humans would call these beings “gods.” > https://www.guildmag.com/gmblitz-lore-interview-with-jeff-grubb/ > > Mind you this is a bit old and the writers since Jeff and Ree left have considered out of game lore to be "psuedo-canon", so it can easily change. But in effect, the Great Dwarf is the collective conscious, but there _could_ be a singular entity once in the past that no one has solid proof of having met. > > Which would make sense, because there are stories of the Great Dwarf that just don't fit with it being a collective conscious - specifically, the Anvil of Dragrimmar (I'd say "creating the race at Anvil Rock", but one could argue a theory that Anvil Rock was where dwarves went from originally stone to flesh and blood, before eventually returning to stone). > > You say "there's no indication" but that's a lot of myths to make up about a singular entity. Why would a collective conscious use a singular specific anvil, one far too large for your average dwarf at that (it's more jotun-sized if anything). Why would a collective conscious go off to the Mists and establish the Great Forge afterlife? Stories can only be twisted _so much_, so it seems likely that there was an individual, though this individual may not have been a god named the Great Dwarf. You're right, it could potentially be a single entity who has been given status far above what they really were and perhaps even both in a way, but a bunch of attributable stories isn't really a clue to anything since mythology is too complex for that. My main point, was that in response to to the post I quoted is that we do not know it is an entity like the Human Gods as was asserted. There are good arguments for and against it based on the little information we know, but no definite's exist. Whilst I lean more to it being a magical rite twisted over the years with stories built up around it, to be honest such a mystery doesn't need to be answered either and is fine being left open ended and speculative (imo)

No reason to even log in now knowing I won't catch up anyway. The vendor will disappear either tuesday or a future tuesday for a new faction vendor. Based on the previous two vendors who have disappeared prior to the dwarf one, items will end up in the other vendor for seals for a higher price and on rotation. Nothing is lost to my knowledge - the infusion in fact appears at least once a week for 600 seals I am told
  23. In the early days, I saw an Ironman or Hulk almost every day. Some were pretty good, especially Hulk when the growth tonic was added I nearly made a He-Man. There's a shield which works very well for He-Man and the Warclaw was kind of the reason I think many did actually cosplay him in game. In the end I wasn't go to play as He-man so I dismissed the idea Otherwise I'm content making something more original/unique that fits the game world for my own toons. Occasionally a decent cosplay toon comes along which makes me smile though
