  1. Can someone confirm the accurate number per day? Is it 3 for the daily 3 DRMs, 5 for special mission and 5 for crafting material exchange (plus I think 1 for a story run through?) I've got 45 tokens so far and I wanted to see if there's enough from Monday/Tuesday to get the infusion. If not I'll wait for it in the weekly vendor Unless the tokens are a 2 week thing
  2. > @"ugrakarma.9416" said: > thanks so much for feedback! > > im bit surprised with Cold War classified as hard,, i pugged it before very randomly(i barely remember why or how), and seems easier, just dps stack group. so its a good news? if i find Cold War easy basically only left Whisper and Bonneskinner as "be careful" run. Cold War is classfied as hard because there is a lot going on and people need to work together. I've done it once and it went perfectly smoothly, but I can see how it could easily not have gone that way. I believe the mechanics can differ on each run which changes the difficulty Whisper is a fantastic strike because all the mechanics are quite straightforward and easy enough to telegraph, but the building intensity of the mechanics means it only takes a sudden panic and a wipe will happen. Of the ones I've done, I find it to be the best designed If Forged with Steel is going to be added into this, I'd rank it after SHiverpeak. Forged with Steel is unfailable, but the length can vary. At the moment pugs are getting through it at least as quick as DRM's if not quicker. It is however not difficult (although people still seem unable to do the boss properly). However Forged with Steel doesn't count as a strike for the daily/weekly chest stuff in EoTN. Shiverpeaks is as easy as an open world boss with no mechanics. The whole group could auto attack and still get gold. Kodan and Fraenir are about equal, although I find Kodan a tad easier to get gold. Wipes occur if no healer is around, but it's quite rare these days Boneskinner I've never completed so can't comment. It's the one fight I'd like to do though

And the music was exceptional, the best in the franchise, it brings me back so many good memories. I don't understand the posts above that say it's the weakest game, it was so above eye of the north..and even gw2 > > honestly I would be very disappointed if they don't use these musics Although i joined just after Factions released, I went from Prophecies then Nightfall when that came out then back to Factions. After Nightfall, Factions felt like a huge step down in both overall quality and the story itself. Kaineng City was something that really took its toll after a while on me with its dull, maze like layout. I know a lot of people I played were less keen on that campaign than the others. It's saving grace for me was Alliance Battles. That was fantastic fun. It's not a universal opinion of course. Everyone has their favourites and plenty of people still gravitated towards Factions. I found it rather unenjoyable compared to what came after and what preceded it. It will always be the far and away weak point in the original series for me and one I found a chore to replay on alts compared to the others. Nightfall is probably my favourite campaign with EotN and Prophecies tied second for differening reasons I agree it holds up as a story better than GW2 though, which although has better dialogue, VA and production values, is just a mess of directions and thought processes behind it.
  4. I have one armour set per character. That's unlikely to be normal for players who do more high end content than I though Armour has so many sources now it's tought to say what is better. Crafting is probably the most reliable way, Verdant Brink for Balded armour has stat selectable armour. Fractals, wvw - the list is pretty long. My bank is filled with armour chests I've dumped in there, so if I make a new toon or change my build, i just grab what I need from there and craft anything I can't

We don't even know who the great dwarf is. Since the dwarfs and glint were allies I always assumed the great dwarf was a converted dragon champ like glint but able to make people like the pale tree. The dwarfs could have been made flesh to break Primordus's control so they could build up their wills as mortals and resist his call like the sylvari were able to. Would also explain why the stone summit seem to now be allies to primirdus > > We know that the Great Dwarf technically is a god, like the human gods, even though he is the collective consciousness of **all** dwarves. > We know that he once walked on Tyria, like the Human Gods, but then moved into the Mists to rule over the Great Forge (the Dwarven afterlife). > Since he possessed the ability to move through the Mists before the dragons absorbed it from Balthazar, it's safe to say he never was a Dragon minion. We don't know it was an entity at all. All indications are that this is part of Dwarven mythology which had got twisted down the millennia into becoming a worshipable entity and it fact was a magical rite which united the consciousness of the Dwarves and converted them to be able to fight a racial enemy in Primordus from an earlier awakening There is no indication there ever was a Great Dwarf who created the race and then went off to this Great Forge in the Rift and exists there still. It appears to be nothing more than mythology.
  6. You are overlooking cultural and racial differences in outlooks, plus the fact those invloved have much more worldly outlooks and have far more important things to be focussing on in a time of critical emergency. This is discussed a bit here in a similar thread. https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/122146/spoilers-maybe-the-passage-of-time-for-tyrians#first Yes, absolutely people needed to get over it. Humans and Charr are allies now. And Charr have helped before - see Lake Doric. They can sit there and hold old grudges - grudges the Charr moved on from - or they can burn to death from the Destroyers. There are bigger things going on in the World - Ebonhawke should be pretty clued in on that after Kralkatorrik attacked it in Edge of Destiny. I get that old hatreds die hard, but Kas tried to symapthise as best she could. Our Commander has seen death and destruction rain down across the Continent and it makes sense to have no truck with old grudges that have long since been settled. The Destroyers were already invading. The time for debate is not during an attack. They can do that off screen later if they must. Crecia is also a military Charr leader. It would be been far more lore breaking for her to act in any other way than she did There are sweeping problems in the DRM's, but this isn't one of them As for the timeline, yes technically you are correct. But, given that the ceasefire led to the treaty and marked the beginning of hostilities being dropped between two opposing races, well it's largely semantics
  7. Some things like certain hero points, getting certain mounts (Griffon) and the latest story release are aimed at groups, although skill level will determine whether you can over those obstacles Open world is shared coop so it can be solo played for the most part, but group stuff will exist. Rest of story is aimed at the solo player Dungeons, fractals, raids, strikes are for groups
  8. Dailies have capped at 15k for about 5-6 years when they redid the system to make things fairer for incoming players and took away the need for players to feel like they always had to login (I've not hit the cap myself despite being here from Day 1). You can see the cap when you hover over your achievements point breakdown. It's fine to be honest. I'm not against it being uncapped, but it was never meant to be a way to forever get AP - that's why they later added the 2g so people still got something after the cap was reached. Anet long since gave up on keeping the AP system up to date or worthwhile, so I can't see it ever changing

OK, I've chedk the vendor today and no infusion. I have tier 3 mastery completed. Any ideas what I am missing? I've checked both Seal vendors to be sure. Is it something not there every day? edit: nvm, wiki is updated to say it doesn't appear every day
  10. Fishing is fantastic in many games I've played - Lotro being the stand out. Whether it fits here is another matter, but I'd be happy enought to see them try
  11. > @"Shane.4023" said: > Thanks for the info guys. But, what is that Level 80 Ticket for that I can purchase in the Gem Shop? Is that a Character Level boost, or is it something different? It's an additional level 80 boost for those that want more. Many people have considerable numbers of alts and levelling can be a chore after a few run throughs

  13. Experienced advice is to proceed througha character at least once before using the boost. Going to 80 and experiencing end game content tends to be a culture shock for many and puts a lot of people off (then they come here saying the game is too hard and needs nerfing). Ultimately you do what is best for you, but it's ultimately proved to be better to a lot players to be led through naturally at least once. After that, boosts are perfect for alts

It quite literally renders the entire quest to make Aurene an elder dragon pointless, as well as the battle against Balthazar (well, accept that whole killing innocent people to turn them into Forged bit, kinda needed to stop that). > > > > Frankly I have no expectations of how this LS season will end other than that it'll probably be really disappointing. > > I’m starting to feel like neither Primordus or Jormag will die this season. I think the finale will be Primordus erupting up the surface, and the season ends on “the real war has only just begun.” EoDs focuses on us trying to replace or depower the twins as they’re wreaking havoc in Tyria as their forces battle it out, and our only lead to fix it are saltspray dragons potentially being able to ascend. Most likely we get this info in a vision from Aurene/the scrying pool. We head to Cantha to search for them and get caught up in regional issues during the process. > > It's a definite possiblilty that the two dragons in the EoD logo could well be Primordus and Jormag and have absolutely nothing to do with the DSD at all
  15. It's in no danger. Even with the current dlc having a lukewarm reception, it's still got a sizeable population and isn't close to being dead, in maintenance mode or anything like that. An expansion is due later in the year as well which appears to mark the end of the 8 year arc and potentially set up new stories. Any rumours of GW2's death are based on no facts whatsoever It's got many years in it still
  16. His left foot is probably so sore, his limp is making it hard for him to show up on time
  17. Completely missed your reply as I forgot where the thread was. I'll hope to be around next week as I have stuff to do tonight/tomorrow. Pm me if I forget
  18. Yes, eventually mastery points wont be an issue. There is way more than you need and LS3 as you play through it will help with that. You are slightly bottle necked now because you have already unlocked some of Ancient Magics which is actually an LS3 related mastery line, that uses HoT mastery points/xp. That will eventually rectify itself as you finish off various maps and content (there are over 50 surplus mastery points across HoT and LS3)
  19. Private instances need you to form a party so that kind of resolves the issue, but public doesn't unless someone tries to locate everyone and party them up manually. I guess because public is largely unfailable and requires very little cohesion, they never saw a need for it. It would be nice to be able to locate people though or know how big the group is. /m should work fine. The main obstacle that can happen is that because public groups are for everyone to jump into so you can sometimes be speaking in one language whilst others are speaking in another. It's not a major issue at all, but is often a reason people don't respond
  20. They've done enough of this over the years to understand whether it works or not. If it does work, they'll continue. If it doesn't, they wont. I do agree with AgentMoore. Ensure the content is fun, remove any controllable obstacles that may cause toxicity or division (bots especially) and it becomes less of an issue. It's a video game - one of thousands - and we're here to be entertained. If it's not entertaining, the interest will be limited
  21. Can someone clarify a possible misunderstanding of mine. I believe it is stated that Jormag's ice can't be melted by Primordus' fire in one of the DRMs and freezing people is helping to preserve/protect them. Maybe I misheard that bit of diaolgue completely, but if that's true, how can that work if Jormag is weak to Primordus?
  22. > @"Helen.3746" said: > I haven't finished Champions yet, so I presume Power will appear when I'm ready to start it. Thanks for all the responses! Power is part of champions. When you finish the first part it’ll just carry on seamlessly into the next
  23. Neither that Itzel or that Nuhoch are significant since they allow you to take on certain bosses for a minor daily reward and drops stuff invloved in certain collections. However the ones after are better - the final Itzel one giving you access to adrenal mushrooms which can reset all cooldowns and the final nuhoch counters part of the chak goo. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_Mayatl_the_Fierce (Itzel boss) https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_Potoni_the_Massive (Nuhoch boss) That would make Itzel the better one imo if you are thinking of the future or unless you need a specific drop (see the above links for trophies. They include stuff for Hope crafting and items for each Order's backpacks) Oakheart is probably the best (and most fun) of the three, but it's use is largely confined to Draconic Mons - the map specifically designed for it. If you are going to go there, than this mastery is your choice (although the skyscale prob renders it redundant at this stage of the game, it is a fun skill). It does have some use in other maps like Dragonfall (I think), but to a lesser extent

Just for reference, you can stay behind after completion and search for the pages as the instance doesn't close until everyone has left. It means players don't have to stress and read/find them during the active mission
