  2. There also living story 4 which needs purchasing. You only get these for free when you login during each episode release window. Yes Anets marketing is terrible. All this has been explained to them many times that it needs clearer writing in their website when ordering

It was done solely because a very, very small number of players at the top of AP leaderboards kept complaining that they still have to keep putting effort in doing dailies to retain their leading position. I wonder how many of those people still play

Yes, good point. Forgot about that
  5. From memory, I thought all machine weapon parts were 100% chance from the meta chest. Are you manually looting the big giant end chest just to be sure? From noxious pods it's a lot rarer

Also I'm kinda dissa-pointed (had to write it like this because it would make it an emoji otherwise kitten) how the infusion looks in reality. Thought it would only make the skin in a slightly greyish tone instead of completely making everything black. However I'm excited for the next vendor event, if only for the achievement to buy 10 boxes, and what's in stock there. Hopefully a new infusion that looks better or maybe another skin. It makes you grey for sure, not completely black if that helps ![](https://i.imgur.com/kmzlV7i.jpg?1 "")
  7. > @"Arheundel.6451" said: > Can somebody care to explain me how Lyssa is part of the current living story? She isn’t at all There were some sly dialogue bits in PoF / eg Balthazar cursing all the Gods except her and using her mirror to disguise himself as a mursaat just before. But that is it. For now, she has left Tyria. Speculation has often existed of her return though.
  8. There's a few tough fights or at least long fights. Instanced story missions are designed to be soloable though. It's just that the skill base of players are diverse and so some things end up a bit more challenging as many players' skill levels naturally go up over time. That said, it's an MMO. There is no barrier and no shame in grouping with a friend or Guild mate for example to get things done where struggling Things change up a little in Visions of the Past and Champions (Icebrood Saga) where public/co-op story instances are introduced, but people are reporting they are soloable.
  9. It's not subpar, it's just not to your liking. There's a difference. He 's an extremely talented VA across a huge spectrum of voices (Nathan Drake/Uncharted, Assassins Creed, lots of Marvel/DC characters among his larger credits) who performed his role likely in the exact way as directed by Anet Same as when people criticised Trahearne or my dislike for the Sylvari male PC. It's not bad work on their part, it's just not going to resonate with everyone. The male sylvari is particularly worse for me because it is utterly the opposite tone and feel for the character I created and it just jars. That doesn't mean the VA is bad though, but yes I symapthise in how it can ruin immersion The problem with the PC VA is that Anet try to keep them as character-less as possible because everyone "hears" their character's voice differently. To some, it resonates perfectly, which is why people really like certain PC VA's more than others.
  10. I think at this stage, changing it to a button grab would be more annoying. I'm used to and comfortable with how it is
  11. I think you gained the recipe to make them when you opened the armour box, so you need whichever crafting profession for the weight you lack I'd imagine https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mist_Shard_Helm_Box
  12. Jahai on release was a really good map, but yes I can imagine it has suffered due the number of group events and that the Sunspear Sanctuary was very underwhelming. It never felt unfinished tho Kourna was unfinished.I believe the Moon Palace was cut from release. The meta itself is just dreadful when u see things like Dragonfall, Silverwastes and Drizzlewoid. It’s only good thing is that it doesn’t rely heavily on group activities. Merging together wouldn’t work. They are tied to their episodes for starters. LS4 populations are just naturally low these days, partly due to focus in later content and partly due to the server problems which ran through 2020.
  13. I wasn’t a huge fan at first, but I’ve come to realise his voice suits my noble, posher human characters so now I’m happy enough with it. The male sylvari one is the only VA that I personally don’t like the sound of. Something about the tone and cadence doesn’t fit for me I think any criticism should steer clear of the talent of the VA tho. These are all professional actors with a high pedigree. Nolan North’s human pc may not be his best work, but he’s been well established in GW as well as other franchises and has been outstanding

I haven't been able to watch it yet, but they talked about a cut centaur storyline. > This is incorrect. > > Cut content, by definition, is content that was actually developed, but then removed. Either pre, or post, release. As they admit in their twitch stream, they never actually made the centaur storyline because they considered it too complicated to try to explain why the Centaurs were now your allies in such a short time. > > It isn't cut content, the content was never developed., or originally planned. It was an idea they had for a possible storyline. This contrasting to something like Malyck in HoT, who was originally designed to be in the expansion, but actually got cut out. Were there any other bits of info in the twitch stream? The Wiki transcript isn;t up yet
  15. All zones reshaped to look like a skritt to fit the new shape of the World map Skritt shaped
  16. The animation only occurs when you equip it. It's static as the morphed shape you see finalised in the preview window after that, even in combat

She is the goddess of truth but can't see through Lyssa's illusion and this makes her a less powerful Goddess. She absorbed the powers of a fallen God after all. > > I don't think absorbing a fallen God's powers makes any difference to her status as a God. She fully took on the title of Goddess of Truth and according to the scriptures and "all its powers and resposnsbilities". It's also noted that Lyssa mocked Kormir for remaining behind as per Kormir's diary. Lyssa to mock another God for that and then staying behind anyway makes little sense.
  18. It's not a case of letting people do it. I'm sure someone will explain the tech reason behind it. iirc it's to do with outfits being a fourth weight
  19. DRM's as a concept are fine. As a replacement for a full episode they aren't strong enough or deep enough. Plus they are causing the story to be rushed through in an almost tickbox excerise of things to get through. They need to compliment proper episodes or be like Visions as a single filler episode. I'm ambivalent about them being used to revamp earlier content.
  20. I've been working on Sharur and and The Minstrel for 2-3 years. I've got a decent number of legendaries already, but this will cap off everything I want unless I end up getting the spear as well

For some of us, it was a pretty big deal. > > Implementing this kind of thing in capital cities only would be preferable. Yes that's it - an absolute fuss over nothing. It's a bit of fun and mischief in a video game for just one day on a day where fun and mischief is encouraged. Something we need in this world more than ever right now I'd say. But, people are what people are. I hope Anet do something though. The rest of us miss out when they stopped doing them and if they must restrict locations then at least those of us who want a bit of silliness can have it.
  22. > @"Stephen.6312" said: > I'm not saying that I believe Teerack's theory is accurate enough to be reliable. But it's a good attempt. No one has ever really pursued angles like this before, certainly no one that I know of. People don't pursue it because it doesn't make sense and doesn't fit in any way what we already know. There's theorycrafting/speculation and just coming up with a random idea and seeing if it can be made to fit. That's what this is and it doesn't fit at all. Even if there was the remotest chance of it being possible, Anet would have seeded it via dialogue, seeded it via things going on or just plain wrote it as the story.

Skrittamoth. Skrittatorrik, Primordial Skritt. Skrittmag. Steve the Skritt! Imagine seeing Mordremoth coming up out of the depths with a great big skritt head! Or Zhaitan being made of hundreds of different skritt. I think we're onto something here!
  24. April Fools was a tradition going back to GW1 days. Gender reversals, stick figures etc. Never hurt their business interest before and it wont in the future either. Personally it's people kicking up a fuss over nothing when they create over it, but Anet can always just make it capital cities only or LA only like in GW1. That way a it's a one day bit of completely harmless fun that doesn't become a needless drama
