Warhawk.7095
With today's patch, I am proud to announce the winner of a longstanding issue of great importance among thieves. ...Drumroll... Heartseeker-ing across the map is in fact the most effective mode of travel.

Blind.4162
This is what I read when reading the front page for thief; Thief Experts at ~~stealth and surprise~~ being nerfed, thieves ~~move~~ meander through the shadows, ~~vanish into thin air~~ map out, or steal unusable items from their opponents ~~and use them as weapons~~. Thieves practice ~~an agile, acrobatic~~ a nerfed fighting style, which makes them very ~~hard to hit~~ easy to kill. We can nerf the profession more if you find they are still too hard to easily kill. Initiative To power their attacks, thieves rely on a resource called initiative, which regenerates slowly over time. Weapon skills cost initiative points, but they have no recharge time, so thieves can use them ~~back-to-back~~ once due to ever increased initiative cost. This allows thieves to stay ~~flexible~~ close by and unresponsive in combat and to unleash ~~a rapid flurry of powerful attacks~~ an attack. Steal Thieves use the Steal skill to take weapons from their opponents. They can gather blinding feathers from moa birds or swipe broken bottles and rusty weapons from bandits and pirates but nothing of any use from players. Stealth Skills Thieves can enter stealth mode, which renders them ~~invisible to enemies~~ susceptible to player's reveal skills, target painter or target painter traps ~~and replaces their first weapon skill with a stealth attack skill~~. They use these skills to ~~stab foes in the back~~ reveal themselves, ~~get off~~ to receive a surprise shot, and more. Shadow Step With Shadow step, thieves can teleport ~~into~~ out of battle ~~for a surprise attack and then use Shadow Return to escape to their previous position~~ in hopes of surviving. Vault + Dash too. Staff will replace SB as mobility tool. Sucks to no longer be able to consistently port up cliffs, but good luck catching a Staff DD running away. Death's Retreat is my favorite mobility skill. I can scale most path available cliffs and ledges but it can also clear a lot of walls and larger objects. Plus, if you're as comfortable with it as with Withdraw then you can land it pretty instinctively wherever you want or oriented however you want around someone. Last game after patch: 17 kills, 0 deaths, 2 revives, victory. BRING OUT MOAR NURFS!!! Speaking of mobility, I find perma-plus 99% movespeed quite enough.
