  4. Welcome to the club, you may take a seat next to mirage and teef :) Yes, i know, i am bitter. Jokes aside, i think the changes would be less tragic (at least from your view, OP) if necro and DH saw some adjustments (please don't bring up nova lol).

I will be just really really subjective and selfish here (because being objective is pointless anyway, only very few care about risk/reward and fair gameplay): - they didn't nerf teef -> whew O_o' - they nerfed other classes -> indirect, slight buff to teef -> wee O.o - DH bug got supposedly fixed -> yay O_O? - DH/trapper runes weren't touched -> yikes :s
  6. I actually have another suggestion: give it additional party quickness or alac in pve only. That might open new opportunities for thief in raids/fractals.
  7. I have to agree with OP. This was my experience on thief as well. No matter what build i run or how much i contribute i just get laughed at and mobbed by the zergs from my own server. Usually you don't even get chance to do anything - you just get instantly kicked because the truth is, every other class does everything better that thief could potentially offer to the zerg. So at the end we are either pigeonholed into roaming which end up in 1000 wvw threads asking to delete thief (yeah, how dare a class that was forced into roaming and build for it actually kill someone) or reroll something else. I personally NEVER got trashtalked by the zerg when i played other classes, NO matter how crappy i played. If however Anet support did their job then half of the wvw population from my server would be probably banned given how much i was griefed by them simply for playing thief.
  8. Any time. For leveling just look for social kind of guild with XP boost preferably. As far as end game content goes: it depends what you want to do. If you want to do fractals or raids, look for guilds that do trainings (very important or you won't get anywhere) and daily runs. If you want to do WvW (big scale server vs server pvp) look for guilds that focus on that kind of activity. If you want to pvp: having a guild there is not necessary but can be nice if you want to do automated tournaments. I would suggest to look on pvp forums for those. Also, rather then asking for guild in the starting zone rather look for one either in major cities (e.g. Lion's Arch or Divinity's Reach) or in dedicated forum section.

Thief traps got removed completely. An immobile class that is definitely designed around NOT having stealth by all means (abundance of blocks, heal, regen, aegis, condi cleanse, team support, some hard cc and invuls) got really easy access not only to stealth but also superspeed - what could go wrong %D You guys may defend this all you want eventually thanks to this rune DH, not the rune, but DH will be nerfed, just other classes did because of this rune. I wonder though if you really will enjoy it. Remember how mesmers defended mirage on launch instead of admitting that EM was too good and giving constructive feedback? Yeah. Look where mirage is now.

I would add that i like condi cleanse from healing seed - REALLY useful when burning guards and necros are in dominating pvp.

  15. Did ATs yesterday and also have seen this in ranked. Multiple players on team just DC. Also, i am not sure wether it has something to do with ATs but we couldn't decap/cap point even though nobody from enemy team was standing on it.
  16. I don't think it is bad idea however, as posted before, with daily reset and only applies to some drops/ (reduced?) gold so we don't have LI/KPs inflation - that would make it impossible for newer players to ever get into raids.

Given that many won't even run that many matches in a row if they are into more casual PvP, whats even the point of **trying**? **Loose 2-500 or loose 498-500, same thing the game says you suck heres equal penalties for it**. That is actually my experience. Even worse, you lose something like 50-500 and lose even more points than your 498-500 loss which still blows my mind. But i am at the point where i just don't care. I do my 1-3 matches a day and go pve. PvP is a joke in this game.

SB5 is not perma TP. The only thing that has perma TP in this game is hackers. SB5 even before nerf was rather costly spell that is why it was mostly used to decaps and nothing else. Your typical core thief build does not have perma swiftness. You get swiftness on steal (10sec on 25 sec CD; using which for swiftness would be absolute waste given it has high opportunity costs) and on consume plasma (assuming your stole one from mesmer). That is hardly perma swiftness. Before xpac many used inf. signet however since everything got bloated with condis you just can't have such luxury anymore. This has been discussed many times. Thing is, sure, they could do it however they would need to buff thief spells for it because many of them are absolutely lackluster on their own. I am not sure it would go so well. Also, i would like to disagree with "without thought" statement. Using every skill without thought on thief means dead thief. WvW is kind of irrelevant here.

I never trashtalk people nor tbag them yet i have been trashtalked countless times as a thief and even reported for simply existing or (OMG HOW DARE I) when running away from outnumbered situation. Funny enough when i play other classes nobody does it to me however i get to see how extremely toxic the squads are to the thieves that join them or just pass by, even if those thieves actually try to help and work as recon. Toxic people will be always toxic, no matter what class they play. I have been playing this game pretty much since launch, surely it is common for pvp similar environment to be toxic BUT WvW community in this game actually got worse over the years. In vanilla people worked together despite the class. Now people just trashtalk (for the lack of better pc word) anyone who doesn't fit their agenda (aka play zerg meta). It feels like it has become some kind of sport - who can trashtalk a thief more. You guys seriously should look at yourself before you just label every thief player as toxic waste.

Tbh, i do think trapper rune needs a rework and i have been in plat/legend in multiple seasons on 2 accounts (when i do pvp; one of the accounts doesn't even have xpacs) if it counts for anything.
