Vaughn.8172 Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 In general when it comes to gaming. Many moons ago when GW1 came out I played a lot it was the only game I played. Having played a few mmorpg "Everquest and DAOC" before it. I watched both turn into way pasted what they started as and played like. In saying that my friends showed me WoW and I liked the game from the start. So I stopped playing GW1 and spent a few years on WoW. Then the patching and changing the game play all the time and cost of having to keep an account so again the changing in the game wasn't up to par with my type of gaming. Once I seen GW2 was out I changed back and wished I had stayed on GW1 longer. All that wasted time and money on WoW is one of the biggest mistakes I made in playing. But when I was new it took me like a week to see the "salvage all" option on kits, so I'd been painstakingly salvaging one by one - and I play with a controller too, so you can imagine how tedious that was, using the mouse with a joystick. Switching stats on my armor and weapons... thought I needed ascended insignias/inscriptions instead of exotic. So I crafted a full set of ascended for nothing. Game of Bones.8975 Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 For the first few months of gaming in GW2 I bought things that were character specific (bag slots, soul bound items, etc) and when I didn't like the race/profession, I'd delete them ... right along with the stuff that I couldn't use with any other characters. Accidentally bought bank tab expansion instead and I was already at the max number of bank tabs, so I couldn't even make use of it anyway. I talked to them the next day and they were all "What I didn't see anything?" Another day after that I got a mail "Thx dude." from a person with a similar acct name. I don't know how they got on my friend's list (possibly from being followed in wvw and then friending them from that list?). Since I had crafted an extra "Ambush" without realizing it (exotic for Chucka and Chumpawatt bow), I decided I'd make the other spirits and craft another Chucka (or at least turn it into a Tigris). However, I did not realize that you are not allowed to make more than one of the story legendaries (for some unfathomable reason since they're account bound and there is a "two-legendary" achievement). After crafting the spirits (at a significant cost in ascended materials) and salvaging "Ambush," I went to craft Tigris and see the message "You've already crafted this item." I now have 4 "Spirits of ..." sitting in my bank because I just can't bring myself to sell them to a vendor for 66 copper each (they should sell back for more than that considering they cost a good 30-40 gold each to craft); either that or we should be able to craft additional legendaries. So I spent a day or 2 levelling the toon up to 500 hunter, only to find out I could have used my alt with max hunter craft to buy the recipe I needed from the legendary vendor. I also wanted a gem store armour skin which I missed the sale on. I wrote to Support asking if they would honour it even though I missed it and they said yes. I loaded up the gems, confirmed with Support they could debit my gem account and they mailed me the skins.
