Capes, man. Capes.

I have fallen in love with this game and the MMO genre as a whole as a result of playing it, it's been an incredibly fresh breath of air for my SO and I after being trapped in WoW/FFXIV for over a decade. GW2 has impressed my at every avenue, and I have nothing to critique as of the first 20 levels of the game barring minor nitpicks (why can't I use instant casts mid-air, man)

I see that over the course of the game's life we've gotten better cloth physics, and I was definitely fooled at first (what with a back slot and everything), but we need flowing capes because they are love and life.

I don't care if they're only visible on self or if they clip or whatever, I just want capes.

They could have added it only to certain races' clothing, so no excuse there.

Well, Asura amputate their ears and toes to fit in most armours, sometimes even cultural armor.

I dont think they’ll think twice to amputate Charr tails

i think their posture is the bigger issue

As I understand it the Charr running animation and capes don’t go together. As I recall, they said several years back that they had a couple devs who were trying to get capes to work. Apparently they couldn’t since we never got capes.

Play Gw1 or look at the banner of the fallen kings(?) from PoF. It would be a clipping nightmare, and somewhat redundant since one class already wears trenchcoats.

and that cape works like a butt cape, not an actual cape from shoulder to ground.

so that outfit works just like any other robe charr wear.

Welcome new player! You probably haven't tried the forums search function yet? There have been many many threads about capes and why we won't have them.
