  4. no its not dead, its still in a good place, not great but not bad which is actually really good in the world of gw2. It can still decap effectively and with sustain slowly been lowered(hopefully that's the direction their going in) teef will be great at +1'ing again. I really hope in the future though the revert some of the ini costs on skills and nerf them in other ways as increasing the cost is just lazy and not only nerfs thief but makes it more clunky to use which should never be the goal. I believe this on every class, a good example is mesmer losing a dodge. Mesmer definitely had far to much access to evades/evade frames and definitely needed to be nerfed in that regard but instead of removing a dodge making Mirage feel clunky they should have instead nerfed some of Mirage other means of evade while leaving its access to both dodges. Before Mirage players chime in saying they were fine before lol no they definitely were not.

Healbreaker was meta and thats blasfomy warrior having a build in meta so thats gotta be nerfed and along with it fc which effects the obviously op power splbr as well, since its so op. These devs should get a award for best....er worst dev team ever to work on a mmos balance lol.
  6. I say simply rework the skill into a stylish 3 hit gs combo where the 3rd hit does extra damage. Have the skill function over a 2 sec cast time with the ability to move, u could also design the animation with Cantha expac in mind. This way it gives players time to react before the 3rd big hit also being in line with the idea of wanting to hard cc the enemy to increase the chances of hitting that 3rd last damaging hit. Un rooting the skill would just make gs feel more fluid.
  7. lmao go to gods of pvp, 1st sentence in power spellbreaker is " Unfortunately warrior/spellbreaker just isn't very good in the current meta". Players who have trouble against warrior or just dislike the class be like " warriors op" lmao. Since post feb patch warrior and its specs were widely known as the now bottom tier class and then a viable build comes to light via healbreaker and in the gw2 community if a few select classes have a build thats meta its automatically op, although its fine for the other classes of the roster to have such. I would understand if healbreaker received a small nerf to its spacific build but nerfing FC also effects builds like power splbr which was already struggling. I can see why anet devs avoid the forums though as its literally 98% useless bias nonsense and 2% useful feedback.

Ud think they'd want to at least attempt to get some semblance of balance between the roster before introduction the new e-spec's so they have a basis to balance them by, not the current iteration of balance which is a complete mess post feb patch as there wasn't even close to the amount of follow up needed after the aftermath that was left by such a large blanket nerf patch that treated the roster so indifferent. I donno who makes the decisions there but the lack of not only support leading up to but in hype generation for the third expac has been horrible thus far not leaving much hope for the expansion.

U guys are right, I only meant that its extremely bad that the largest majority of dh/ burn guards damage is from passive burn procs, either those traits need changed, procs significantly reduced or burn itself needs significantly nerfed or whatever knowledgeable guard players think needs to happen if their honest lol. I haven't played guard or its specs for yrs so I can't rightly give suggestions on how to nerf it properly. That said 6th bonus of rune needs to be changed as it gives dh both invisibility and quickness to a spec that definitely should not have easy access to both.
  15. Traits great but they really should revert the boon steal back to 3 considering the state of boon spam in game currently. Lowering boon spam is the less probable thing to happen so.

Do what u do best and roam or scout, and when around s blob fight pick off scraglerz on the outskirts of the fight, just make sure u have a port ready to go when focused. This is thread is like the flip side of all the zergling's flooding the forums crying to nerf thief cuz their zerg builds gets killed by thief(a roamer) while on way to their zerg. Some classes are great in zergs but bad roamers or ok at both or great roamers aka thief and Ranger but bad in zergs. If u main teef accept ur never gonna be a class wanted in zergs and thats OK cuz roamers lives matter to.

I just find other blocks far more useful as far as blocking is concerned, 1 1/4 block requires far more strict timing than 3 secs and I simply said that I'd give up the stunbreak for s longer block. Weird its so stacked its never in any meta builds, like ever at least that I can remember and I've literally seen no thieves use it in pvp for yrs.
  20. Isn't ranger short on 2h melee weapons, wouldn't a land spear not only fit a Ranger theme but also five Ranger another 2h melee/med range option?

I donno, warrior fits the theme beat for Japan's warrior for obvious reason but rangers actual animation with regards to gs,bow definitely are closer to a samurai style kit minus the animal spirits. Give Ranger a rifle and put on the samurai armor just released and thats prob closest ur gonna get animation wise. Warrior mh sw, rifle and gs5 are decent for the theme as well i guess. One thing to keep in mind is real samurai combat during wartime whether with spear or katana were a handful of basic and effective strikes that were mastered, not the fancy swordsmanship u see in the 80's movies done by Ronin. Musashi who was a kensei actually commented in his book about all the un effective fluff being added to japanese swordamanship for sports purposes. The devs definitely have it in their power to make spacific animations for swords/gs when a specific spec was used. No reason if warrior got a samurai or a close proximity spec they couldn't change the animations for sw,gs and bow to fit the specs playstyle better, but that said it's anet so any extra work to improve the experience is unlikely.

  23. I vote for warrior even though the Feb patch neutered them. The 5 sec weapon swap discipline line gives make fights with warrior feel smooth while giving warrior adaptability with in each fight. War also had great damage potential that didn't rely on cheese meme strategies in the form of punishing its opponents hard that made mistakes causing them to be caught in the wars predictable cc and burst. The wars predictable bursts and mostly easily tell able skills led warrior mains to either get creative to land their bursts or wait patiently for a mistake to capitalize on. Unfortunately the Feb patch took half of the wars ability to punish mistakes via removing damage from all cc skills, that said their still a blast to play if u like dueling. Also warrior has a meta heal build if u like support. Ultimately play what u like most, but the game doesn't need another burn guard, trap dh or necro imo lol.
