It also indicates that he was a contemporary of Oswald Thorn, so he most likely did not witness the time of the Gods or even seen an Elder Dragon in the flesh. Still, he was a very keen necromancer, his expertise in raising the undead allowed him to rule a Kingdom and crush all opposition.

He actually talks about here that he made up the birth of the gods bit as shown here.

He also had a teacher in the necromatic arts. There is still no explanation on the “lichness” perhaps it’s a secret ability his teacher knew.

I am of the mind this is just one of the reasons that actual completion is slow, players are not impressed with the lack of opportunity to reliably source their own supply of sigils and rather than pay a manipulated price they are simply leaving it to chance in game or lost interest in even trying. ANET on the other hand may of thought if the completion could be slowed sufficiently long enough, players wouldchoose to give in and buy gems to convert, which of course may still happen but that is the risk this kind of power steer brings and personally I hope it ends up biting them hard enough to make them reconsider future game design in the future.

Leaves a bit of a pickle on who could replace Zhaitan.

Nah, seems simple enough to me, given how many times it’s spoken during the game.

If you plan to grab the legendary armor you swim in them before long anyway and the skins are expensive enough that you'd still have to play four weeks for one of them. At least they allow you to buy ascended gear without much hassle.

You could also lock the weapon skins to normal mode too and just have the minis available.

    >

    > I have the feeling that most of the people that are asking for "easy" mode wouldn't even do them if there is no rewards or if u can't get the legendary insights doing that.

I think an easy mode deserves some rewards, but the main Legendary Armor collection should be reserved for normal etc. I’m fine with even supplying a finite amount of mag shards per week.

Yeah, no I realized that, hence why I said more use of the mind sphere. We see Kralk using Death Magic a lot in Season 4.

Seems that when Kralk raises a minion from the dead they become a death branded minion. Can kinda see this with the Shatterer, death branded centaur and Hierarch Chikere (who got killed, again). We don’t seem to see the regular awakened that are branded as death branded.

During Beast of War, Kralkatorrik fights back. During to kill a god, he doesn’t.

  11. I’m also wondering if Kralkatorrik could have branded the awakened before absorbing Zhaitan’s death sphere or if just another ability of the death magic, since the awakened are technically dead. Would be interesting to see if Kralkatorrik makes more use of the mind sphere he consumed from Mordremoth.

If you want to call PoF 'the Kralkatorrik expansion', that's a 66.7% correspondence between the logo and the related ED so far... but that's only going to work for so long as an ED has a prominent role to play in a given expansion. We could, for instance, get a white logo because Cantha changed their national colors to reflect the influence of the Ministry of Purity, and get a whole expansion based off that without so much as a single icebrood.

    >

    > Kralkatorrik had not a big part in PoF, although the Season/s following after the expansions extend the lore of the expansions. The expansions end one plot, but they also give the aftermath that are happening during the Seasons. (PoF and Season 4 colors are purple).

    >

    > So PoF's logo should present Balthazar in the number 2 because of Balthazar that was absolutely the main character in this expansion, but he wasn't because the dragons will always be in GW2's logos, because the Dragons were, are and will be the main focus. We went to fight Balthazar, right? But we knew how _purple_ those territories are.

    >

    > I mean that Expansion 3, 4 and so forth will have a dragon in the logo, even if we will go to Cantha and don't really touch the story of any of the Dragon.

    >

    >

I suspect there will be some dragon involvement should we go to Cantha. What form or shape will that take is hard to say.

I know the devs didn’t want to fall into a pattern of major releases and expansions of build up an army, fight and kill a dragon, which is pretty much the formula for the original release and Heart of Thorns. Path of Fire differs because we are getting information and details on Kralkatorrik, but we are not building an army up to fight him, we are hijacking one to save an Elder Dragon, which I think was a nice twist. Plus it introduces us to the physical form of Kralkatorrik. If we manage to kill Kralkatorrik at the end of a season, that is still in a different formula because we are doing this in a living world season, rather then an expansion, which is pretty exciting.

  13. He always had tendrils, except the fight was bugged on release and was patched approximately a month or two later. The original fight Zhaitan sat there and did nothing while you blasted him with cannons. Now a days he has poison spray fields and knock downs as well as the Bone and Zhaitan Tendrils to deal with. They are really neat looking. Spawn after Zhaitan reaches approximately 50% health. Bone tendrils also spawn too. Fight is actually a bit better when you have to clear those suckers before jumping back on the cannons.

  14. Given the dialogue from shattered nation:

Braham Eirsson: Seems like it took a lot out of her, though. Collapsed right there in the summit room.

Character name: Collapsed? Do you think it's because of...?

Braham Eirsson: Eating Joko would give anybody indigestion, but... Maybe she's just trying to do too much.

Looks like eating Joko just gave her an upset tummy and that’s about it.

Was is kinda neat is that potentially, Aurene will be housing the magic of all three villains of PoF.

  15. Problems vary from person to person. A problem to one person means absolutely nothing to another. There are solutions that have been suggested even on the main forum thread regarding this particular area.

Perhaps once we have a good chunk of Raids complete perhaps 10 or so, they could go back and make adjustments. Eventually the fractals team will be finished building new fractals and it could be a potential project for them.

Aside from maybe like Nevermore because its effects/theme is so unique as is imo, but with that being said I'd still go with bifrost. I feel like the effects on some of the new weapons are more toned down compared to gen 1.

Nevermore is a beautiful Legendary, what’s a bit of a downside is the footfalls are so short! You can barely tell they are there. It’s very similar for the first 4 Gen 2 Legendaries they made and seem to have gotten better starting from Eureka on, though Eureka’s footfalks are a tad on the shorter side too.

    >

    > edit: forgot the the torch(rodgorts) and the Mace(Moot) i never see them so i have no clue if they do or not.

Kudzu has everything. Draw effect, footfalls arm aura. Howler has a full body effect and footfalls. I think Quip has everything except instead of an arm aura , however instead you get a full body purple aura. Rodgort doesn’t have a draw effect so it’s similar to Frostfang. The GS don’t have an arm aura, but have a full body aura. Oh and Moot doesn’t have an arm aura.

The UW are a bit weird too, I think there is a draw effect and then different aura.
