It seems to me like it shows that even against Thieves best matchup by a wide margin, condi mesmer (Plasma is OP), the thief had absolutely no hope of ever killing you. The best he could do is run away and survive, and if he stayed to fight, he would always have died, as he did in the end. And thats even against a player *clicking* their skills, which is highly inefficient to the point of giving the thief a massive advantage he usually wont have in a fight. Now of course, this is in WvW, not sPvP, so thieves advantage of being the fastest decapper and +1er is non-existent, and yeah, thief isnt any good in WvW, hence why despite the inherent popularity of rogue classes, nowadays you dont see a lot of thieves in WvW. Actually, it proves the thief should NEVER die to a mirage. It shows how hard it is to make contact with the DD due to crazy high mobility and infinite reset thanks to its access to stealth combined with slow ass clones. For example: If the DD chose to leave the Mirage (me) wouldn't have enough mobility to catch it, nor would the Mirage be able to run away once the fight has started. I have two options, fight the DD or run to the camp and hope the NPCs took care of it for me. With blink's 35 second cool-down and the fact that its also one of two stun-breaks being used its not like the Mirage can actually close on the DD unless the DD keeps coming back to try and kill the Mirage. Meanwhile, the DD has MORE than enough damage available to kill a Mirage many times over. Additionally, if the Mirage attempts to chase and close on the DD the Mirage its forced to use Blink (1 of 2 stun-breaks) and jaunt (loss of burst damage and clone generation), which then leaves the Mirage basically without jack shit to use if the DD decides to turn and kill the mirage after a short run. Likewise, if the Mirage tries to run it is forced to use Blink and also its other stun-break if it wants stealth and again **IF the DD Chooses** it can easily chase down the Mirage and kill once those are used up with little to no risk. Again, DD ALWAYS has the advantage and should NEVER lose this match-up PERIOD! The only reason they didn't kill me is they got sloppy, both times. I would guess the reason the DD got sloppy (kept attacking without much care) was they are used to face-rolling over the average CMirage (how ever skills are activated), for example, moving away enough to make my clones melt, then coming back each time (they let me maintain my clones, which is rare/sloppy) Also as to using mouse to skill click, yes I do esp on Mirage you have to use mouse for jaunt and blink constantly. Additionally, unlike Thief I have to actually face my target for most of my attacks to work (ambush wont work for instance) so I don't see much point in doing it any other way. I have always played vanilla and I never claim to be a _super pro gamer bro_ type of player so what ever dude.

Sure here is a video I made recently. exactly 10 minutes into the video I ambushed by an high rank d/p thief. 3. In a nutshell the big balance patch, within a close(ish) time-frame to mounts being added, then the entire mode and balance being left in the wind ever since has made wvw stale. Very stale. Its hard stay interested.

Playing Mirage I feel like endurance food is less useful now than before since I have no extra pool but every other class did get a nice food upgrade. I would agree that endurance food is good for what it does, but I personally dont use it anymore. I prefer the ascended food. Maybe on DD I would prefer the endurance food still. > > > > Also who said new ascended food recipes would have to include recipes with every prefix, maybe endurance regeneration could be a prefix stat like -10% damage etc. So it would end up being endurance + some stats. So that like, people could use endurance food AND get the XP, WXP, MF Bonus with NO EXTRA STATS? It would be an improvement. I think, in general, Ascended foods missing stat combinsations (including endurance) should all be filled so that every food stat combo people want/use would also gain the Boosts to XP, MF, Karka, etc. It wouldnt be unbalanced at all. It would just let people choose to make ascended level food for the builds they use that is correct food. Another line of food could be made with no prefix and maybe less cost since they would be less beneficial in general. To be clear I don't expect ANY of the the suggestions on this thread to ever go anyplace. This is a thread to talk about lack of diversity in ascended foods. This is an obvious area that Ascended food is 100% lacking so I mentioned it. You and others may just like to find ways to say no. This thread is nothing but a suggestion box.

You could always get a staff from a chest or whatever with another stat and stat change w exotic diviner's inscription. As I recall for my Rev I did the Dragonsblood sword, then stat changed the staff.

  7. An endurance regen. option on ascended food woulda been nice.
  8. > @"weaponwh.9810" said: > for alac, does staff matters? i read snowcrow it has staff in its build, but notice none of the rotation use staff? i think its only for cc on staff 5? in that case i can just get any staff for it? does staff contribute to any dmg? Yes, Staff is important on alac. Staff is less damage but it provides some heals, a nice block on 3 and some of the best cc around on 5.
  9. > @"weaponwh.9810" said: > since tunderpeak meta is mostly dead, is there any easy way to get Exquisite Serpentite Jewel for crafting ascended divine weapon/armor? Well you could buy the key or key halfs off the TP, but they are higher in price now than they used to be https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Light_of_Deldrimor_Plate As I recall you loot chests in each room and up above the sealed rooms to get Exquisite Serpentite Jewels. If the inscriptions could be traded I would sell ya some. Anyway, not sure you wana spend that much gold getting them, but it's a simple option. Good Luck. Also in general allot of stat selectable exotic and ascended armor these days have diviner's stats as an option. For instance, Healers armor chests u get in Fractals have Diviner's stats. Also the warlord's armor (exotic) from pvp/wvw reward tracks, as well as Triumphant and Glorious armor.
  10. Tables and chairs with Garlands or other Decorations on them, or some kind of table center piece kind of thing could be cool and prob easy-ish to do.
  11. longer Draped Garlands and some strings of lights that aren't pumpkin heads. I like the snow globe idea. Sleigh could be neat too I guess.
  12. Yes I can confirm the Frostbitten Sickle is NOT working but the other frostbitten tools still work. Its only sickles/harvesters and it seems to have started 2 patches ago.
  13. > @"Yoci.2481" said: > Good bye GW2. I gave them over two years to fix Mesmer. Turns out it was two years too many. See you in a different game maybe. I understand how you feel. I considered doing the same and still really don't plan on buying the expac if they don't address one dodge before hand, not to mention fix missing traits and such. That said, I still manage to have some fun playing even if I am often frustrated/pissed about the present state of things Mesmer. Anyway, I hope you take a nice break and come back when you are ready. Either way, have a good life. :)
  14. So I would try a few things. If you have Nvidia you can use the screen overlay to adjust visual settings(or reShade I guess works too). I suggest turning Highlights down, turn bloom effect off. Turn Shadows up a little, turn contrast up and lower brightness some, then tweak till it all looks right with hopefully less intense highlights and still good contrast so you can read and have the game look pretty. That helps me allot. That said, I still would love a way to limit the how many effects or the intensity of effects of skills, infusions, and armor visual effects. I enjoy all the visuals too. Don't get me wrong. I love all the cool looking stuff in gw2. However, some times it makes my eyes hurt and its so bright I cannot really use the interface because looking directly at it becomes painful on the eyes. Its like staring into a lightbulb some times.

The audio clutter is just as bad, it's so much that in fights I just hear static as soon as the mob spawns until it's dead. I tried to hear audio cues here and there and I may as well just turn the sound off and listen to music. > > I think what I really want is: > 1. Ability to hide player names in my squad > 2. Ability to hide player titles and guilds > 3. Better options for reducing the screen effects. > 4. Ability to reduce audio effects > 5. Ability to hide other player's armor/weapon effects > 6. Delete people who use the pony bow from the server. > A few of the things you are asking for have been done, I think. For instance, you can change how and when player, enemy, and NPC names/bars appear now. I leave player names off unless I hold alt. It makes the game much cooler without name tags over everyone. When I want to see name tags I can just hold alt or hover mouse over a player. Audio effects of other players can be turned off also for weapons, and such. That said, I agree visual clutter and spam is WAY out of hand. I constantly lose sight of my mouse cursor in this type is content which leads to targeting and skill use issues. I wish I could see. Frankly, I had good eyesight 8 years ago. Now I need glasses, so Thanks Guild Wars 2.
