  1. Yea Power Scrapper mostly uses bomb kit to spam 1. Kits work like an alternative weapon set for engineer but it takes up a utility slot. You would run hammer just because there's nothing else to run and you're mostly dropping bomb anyways.
  2. In approximate order... **Essential (generally required in all groups):** Support Firebrand-- Offers stability , as well as protection and healing to deal with massive CC. Support Scrapper-- Offers healing, stealth and massive condi clear Scourge-- Condi corrupts/strips/damage mitigation/damage Power Herald-- Stability, damage, CC. Heal Tempest-- Auras, Immobolize, Cleanses Shoutbreaker-- Cleanses, bubble **Off-meta (good, can be used in alternative compositions but does not directly replace an essential class)** Reaper-- Damage, Corrupts, Pulls Power Scrapper-- Lots of 11111 mass damage Power/Burn Guardian-- Same as above, though power is better against more organized groups Immob Druid-- Entangle, and more. Support Chronomancer-- Miscellaneous Utility, Res's, Stealth, and the source of much tears. Power Spellbreaker-- Same as shoutbreaker but has really fallen behind. **Non-Essential Classes (Can work, but must maintain Social DIstancing-- not accepted into most generic groups)** Stance Share Soulbeast- Highly Survivable, Immobs, Additional Support, Very high point blank burst but the lack of aoe spam does hurt. Pole Dancer Daredevil-- Mobile PBAOE that really pressures squishes that fall out of line while able to also keep up with your own blob, so high surviability, but ineffective in pirate ship situations and chokes. Extremely selfish. Power Staff Weaver-- Very High spike damage, but needs to be babied. Selfish. Power Beserker-- Ehh, still works I guess but gimmicky and selfish. (maybe meme banner?) Ventari Rev-- A huge meme, but it's sure good for stopping disablers! **Quarantined (Please stay home and away from Zerg fights. If you must join a zerg fight, maintain maximum social distancing.**) Transfuse Necro-- When well played, in an organized group, it's strong. However, in the wrong hands, it's the best way to get your people killed. In general, do not pursue if you don't know what you're doing. Your group will probably have to know who you are before they trust you. Most condi builds Thieves (excluding daredevil and mebe venom share, but that pales in comarison to ele/druid) Non-Support Mesmers Core Engi Longbow rangers, and anything else that relies on Projectiles. Most PvE builds for doing WvW dailies. ~~Most players on my server~~
  3. You only need 3 points for gliding; the rest is enhancements that aren't that needed. Mounts are poorly implemented. There should be a rented mount, but they never got around to it. Also I think the lance should be the first thing to be leveled ; not the last.
  4. Oh, I have it! Make it so that participation decays slower when you're in combat during a defense event. That would make it harder to afk. Suppose you could still abuse this in SMC somehow. But if you're in SMC, you can just abuse wall repairing anyways.
  5. Soulbeasts have a trait that does more damage vs a disabled foe, and if you throw in an impact sigil on top of that is a lot of damage when combined with sic'em, quickness, and probably One Wolf Pack. Don't really even need to be glass, but usually the whole thing needs to connect. You should really not cross the path of a dismounted ranger, though. Best way would be to force dismount and use ypo ur longest leap away.. If you get dismounted and fail to stunbreak, you could be dead. A particularly annoying variant uses Signet of the Hunt for the unblockable, but that is thankfully really rare.

Because nobody helped you, you ended up wasting 10 mins of everybody's time. You did what you were supposed to but your server didn't respond in kind. If after a minute or so nobody came i would have left the tower be flipped. > > I think repairing as a defensive strategy shouldn't be a thing: Repairing should be something you do after a siege. If you can't see how annoying is to trying to flip a tower but one player inside just keep delaying the inevitable for nothing we won't be able to understand each other. > The player is doing their job by frustrating you, slowing down your advance to the next objective, so maybe other people can get there in time to defend it. Also that's how the scoring system even works. It's not about capturing objectives, it's just also about holding them for as long as possible. And one player holding down multiple is a good use of resources. If they can hold you down when their other server mates take your stuff, it's hardly an inevitable thing. If you find it annoying, that means they're doing a good job. Saying things should be removed because they get in your way, is just not how a game mode with pvp in it works.
  7. Umm, no. Cutting edge meta builds are based off of open field combat, skrims, and gvgs, not fighting in structures. Yes the claim buff is dumb, but this is a lot of conjecture. The line is much more reasonably drawn with the introduction of Firebrand because that is when guardians went full minstrel. And to drive home this point, all dps guardian builds today are core guardian or dragonhunter. Warrior going minstrel has much to do with the damage potential of hammer being sacked, destruction of defense, and rework of tactics. Engi going minstrel has much more to do with the addition of purity of purpose and med kit being viable. There was almost no role for Engi before that besides stealth. The idea that any of these build changes relied on keep buff being a major factor, is well, to put it nicely, misguided.

If your argument to keep the pull being buggy is to sit on mount, possibly the most busted thing in WvW, then it sounds like the pull needs to just respect LoS and be done with it. It's already dangerous enough to be at the top of the wall, it shouldn't be dangerous at the bottom as well. It makes absolutely no sense that a defensive position in a defensive structure is so dangerous when you need to attack down at attackers. > > > > Uhh, how much advantage do you need? You can stealth push out at almost any angle (off the wall, through the portal) and the enemy has to be constantly aware when your group can still run back into the portal and in some cases glide out (like at hills) while you can have disables, mortar and cannon support. Even if you fail all of this, someone can pull the EWP. > > > > And besides, why should people be able to pew pew from the wall with zero danger anyways? If some people are willing to get off the wall to actually fight, then people up on top can freecast. But if everyone's wall hugging, the attackerss have nothing better to do but to pull people from the top. > > > > It's basic tactics. I really don't care what happens since I probably get pulled off a tower/keep maybe like once a week when i'm not paying attention. And I'm usually the disabling the siege, so I have to go all the way on top of the wall. You can either wait for Anet to do something (lol) , or your enemy can enjoy more bags. Or you can read this post seriously. Your choice. > > Again, if mounts are the answer then you're dealing with something that isn't functioning properly. Well, that's simply the 100% way of dealing with it for the lazy. If you want to ignore it because of arbitrary reasons, that's not my problem. > > Being pulled from the bottom to the top isn't because anyone was out of position but because there's a buggy mechanic being used that does what it shouldn't. > > You're inside the walls for crying out loud. If the advantage of being ***inside*** is negated by a pull that can be used outside then there's quite literally no advantage in this context vs being up on the wall. And the attacker's advantage is completely negated if you make it back in the portal. If you are behind the wall, the attacker has no idea when you will stealth push from top of the wall. If you think that's not literally an advantage, I have no idea what's going on. Plus there's plenty of siege spots that cannot be pulled. > > Nobody said people should be able to pew pew with zero danger, and you and I both know it's far more dangerous on the wall than anywhere else. If you're kitten about people not wanting to fight you for any reason, then that's your problem. The point is it shouldn't be as dangerous off the wall because you can be pulled up to it by some ridiculous pull. No reason why it should be as such. > > You wonder why people put Arrow Carts in the most ridiculous places and sit behind them for eternity? Because things like the mesmer pull that make any other tactic too dangerous. So think about that when you complain about people not 'actually fighting' since this directly contributes to it. Arrow Carts are cheap and very effective. Actually Arrow Carts barely do any damage to any decent sized fighting force these days. Any good defender knows that and will probably only do it as a distraction and commit if there's a fighting force of their own. What you call a ridiculous place is just playing smart. In fact, I am pretty good at placing them myself and am very confident that people can't pull anyone off the arrow carts or w/e I place. People like that will never make complaints about these things because they know how to play the game. That I respect. Certainly better than any nonsensical claim that defenders are at an inherent disadvantage. Hey, I may not like siege/wall humping, but it's their choice and possibly even necessary when outnumbered. It's just that when people can't even do it properly and want buffs that there's a problem, lol. Btw, the thing has a 25s cooldown...

  11. You should get credit for ressing guards during a defense event I say.
  12. Get off the wall? After the 6th or 7th pull, one would kinda understand not to keep repeating the same mistake, but expecting different results after the 50th, well...
  13. I want an underwater mount because we all know how awesome underwater combat is. :open_mouth: But only make it exclusive to WvW kek.
  14. Sure, just trade to guardians the ranger longbow on all guard specs, and it's a deal.
  15. > @"Menzo.2185" said: > My irritation is not with the restriction itself, it is with the fact that Anet keep hears the whining of some and changes the design of an excellent game to please those who only know how to complain about new implementations. If we listen the whiners, we would not have the mounts, the glide, not even the desert map. Anet need to separate what needs to be done from what is just a child complaint. They make like 3 changes every few months. There's no "hearing".
  16. > Why dont u remove it from the game... something that has been around here for 8 years? That statement is false. Though to be fair, it is the least wrong statement you made, as there are no true statements in your post.
  17. Great change. I'm a little sorry for those Dragon Banner mains that have to remember how their own class skills work, but it's a small price to pay.
  18. Honestly though, if one is worried about a few hundred gold, why are they making a legendary to begin with? It's never a good idea to spend what you can't get. Now for some items like recipe for feasts or something, I'd understand, since those are pointless now, especially with ascended food.
  19. Umm, they did try maps with limited waypoint access (eg. Silverwastes, Southsun, Dry Top). And they're pretty awful and I never visit them. Well SW is popular, but that's just for the rewards. Also, I wonder how many people enjoy interacting in Tangled Depths. And interaction is generally concentrated at event centers anyways by design. With map chat people are able to centralize interaction. This is also why IMO HOT maps are superior to PoF ones. HoT maps encourage people to group up in certain areas and interact because some stuff isn't able to be solo'd easily. You make people interact with content, and here the meta is rushing to the shiny. Shiny rules everything, after all. If you ask me, the problem with this game's social functions is that guild activities such as missions, halls, and other features have been severely neglected.
  20. Oh right, ty for the gold. Also, I'm being generous and selling them for less than 2 gold so be grateful. ![](https://i.imgur.com/273IaUQ.png"") Also, just do fractals. Either you get coins or the gold to buy them. I'll tell you what won't work though. Complaining about the price and paying it anyways.
  21. It's good, but probably off meta since there are hard counters, but inattentive players are punished so badly for screwing up that it can be effective against most wvwers, including those that are just like "just cleanse lul". I think power guardian probably is more reliable in any case because it gives more support while doing the damage. In general burn guard is also a hybrid to a degree by mixing power damage via grieving gear, since power scales good with sword of justice and this can also bypass cleansing issues. If you're full TB/dire, you're doing it wrong.
