  3. usually its better to use it on allies, if you use it on enemy they can just move out of it. if you use it on ally they can decide to stay inside, but it depends on the situation.
  4. As someone who started ranger recently I will give you some of my thoughts on the matter, maybe there are work-arounds maybe not. But loads of ranger skills feel sluggish to use. LB 3 in theory doesnt have a cast time but in practice its not instant, if you use it with your back it doesnt fire and goes on FULL cooldown, this needs fixing. GS 5, locks you in place and does that small dash thingy, just let us move during cast and remove the dash, Give the hit itself 160 range and call it a day. ( it lets us land it more consistently, makes it get bugged on terrain less and makes it easier for ranger to position for the stun instead of giving the enemy or the dice gods the choice. Sword 2/3 evades feel shit. I Feel like im spamming evades and HOPING I evade something instead off actually evading what I need, sword 2 has problems with landing hits, and the skills themselves leave you open for attack. Axe mainhand looks like it tries to be hybrid between power and condi, but fails at both. It has no defensive capabilities whatsoever, and the damage is not good enough to justify it. Give axe 1 some condi damage, and axe 2 damage buff and it might be usable.

I got 9.3k haours in pvp and something Nice added to the players that have alot time invested can get something Nice for it i don't think that is to much to ask for. gizmos are a MARK of a monthly winner, its like giving a race medal to everyone who participated in race enough times, it diminishes value of a mat winner, however little it means. as for pvp itself, lack of rewards is NOT a reason why people play it less and less. as for rewards as I said before, there are plenty already. skins, gold,ascended gear and clovers.

EVERY build did it. from weavers that healed to full from 10% hp while chain evading then gaining 50% barrier, warriors throwing rocks for 15k while passively regenerating hp to revs porting through walls and almost instantly downing people while having bruiser level of sustain. If every class has broken as fuck build and you nerf half of them you didnt fix any problems, often times even made them worse.

Instead how about actual QoL ? 1 add a proper cast time to longbow 3, often times its cast gets canceled, due to targeting something behind or starting other skills and it goes on full cd. It also makes it impossible to stow-cancel, it always goes on full cd. as for buffs, I would look for things that go unused, like mainhand axe, axe 2 is a joke for example. various pet qol fixes ( mainly ai ) mainhand sword hit detection increase etc.

It IS auto-attack weapon. 3 is stealth, 4 is CC used to set up 2 most of the times, and 5 is areadenial, and middle finger to zoo necros and mesmers, realistically you wont get more then 2 ticks onto people. It is a good skill but its not a bread and butter. Meanwhile axe, arguably has all bad skills, 1 is amazing, 2 is legit fucking useless, and 3 is basic attack but aoe with some utility condis, hardly worth the loss of range and other utility. If devs wanted axe to be usable, they should probably work on axe 2, as having a skill that is worse then basic attack is unacceptable IMO. Axe is in a same bot as mesmer scepter, where weapon tried to be usefull for both power and condi and ended up being medicore/bad for both.

Its never a problem to react to it, but the fact that by the time you react its already too late and it healed for 7k+ AND you cant attack.
