  1. Maybe in the base game areas but the recent graphics don't look dated at all in my opinion.
  2. Everything seems fixed now, Happy Lunar new year everyone! :)

I can assure you that most people don't get legendary items just for the skin. You're idea completely devalues legendary items to the point where it would be better to just get the stats you use on ascended items. Ascended items not only drop as rewards, a lot of the trinkets/backpacks can easily be farmed at 0 cost. Why would anyone ever make Transcendence when they could farm Borja once, and get 2 Amulets in an hour? The whole reasoning behind the armory making Legendary items more convenient to use was to make them feel more valuable to earn than previous tiers.

I don't see how making something of great cost more useful could be a bad thing. The whole appeal of legendary items is that you never have to grind/buy another when you unlock them. All this does is make it easier and more convenient then having to bank swap every time you want to play a new character. > I guess you don't get my point then. Just because you may only have made max. one legendary item of each type, doesn't mean the rest of the game's players also had. Someone here mentioned 8 armor sets, of which at least 5 have to be thrown away in the case of this update. I have made two Incinerators for the title Twice-Told Legend. What about us? > That's a valid concern for a few players. Earlier in the thread I suggested the possibility of braking legendary items down to their base ingredients for those that have multiple, but that's just one suggestion. I don't see why they should scrap something that would be a huge QoL for a small portion of the playerbase that have multiple of the same legendary items instead of looking at ways to compensate instead.

This will decrease the rarity of legendaries to a level below Basic. What would literally any living organism take; one VW or Ferraris for a lifetime? > > I cannot see the point of trashing the entire legendary rarity, instead of connecting free stat swaps to all lower gear of the same type. Bind a legendary greatsword, and all non-legendary greatswords will acquire free stat swapping. I don't see how this "Trashes the legendary rarity" Legendary items still cost a huge amount of gold, time and effort to make. I don't see how making something of great cost more useful could be a bad thing. The whole appeal of legendary items is that you never have to grind/buy another when you unlock them. 6. Isn't one of the main reasons for the armory to make legendary items feel more useful and valuable? Adding ascended items would kind of defeat that purpose.
  7. Yep It's the reason I crafted my first armor piece. Almost a year later I'm still chipping away at getting as much legendary items unlocked as I can. I just hope it hasn't been forgotten or left on the table since it's been such a long time since the last update.
  8. I think the changes were great, especially the changes that made gearing characters much more obtainable. On the infusions, In my opinion another great change and I hope this isn't the first of these kinds of changes. They're still a very rare drop I assume but at least now seeing Anet intervene with items in high demand but low supply maybe players wont hoard those kinds of items. Hopefully mystic coins are next.
  9. I want to be but I haven't really enjoyed the saga past Borja Marches and this whole chapters seems very bare bones and focus on DRMs which I don't enjoy.
  10. Of the options I think I'd go with Optimization/Engine Upgrade. If they want to continue the game for the coming years this would be a huge help. I think Transportation is pretty solid as it is now unless Climbing where to somehow become a thing, other than that Mounts have every form of transport covered pretty much. New Races would be nice but I think the amount of work involved in making them isn't worth it. I'd much rather the money and development time go to other aspects of the game that exist currently and are in desperate need of attention like Raids or WvW. I think the base game is fine, and the game needs to make money somehow. The game is incredibly cheap for the amount of content you get with the expansions as well as living world being free as long as you log in periodically. PvP/WvW I would like to see get some attention but mostly just frequent balance patches nothing specific to EoD.

There must be something they can do to prevent these people from connecting repeatedly after breaking the rules. > Most hackers I assume would use VPNs so you can't trace their actual IP address, otherwise yes It'd be as simple as an IP Ban.
  12. They said they're working on better ways to detect and prevent cheating from bettering the report system to preventing what they can from a code level. https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/121390/an-update-on-game-security-and-player-reporting-in-guild-wars-2 It's a problem in any Free to play game, If a Hacker is banned they just create a new account and the cycle continues, Hopefully the upcoming changes can mitigate it.
  13. Could we please get confirmation on if this is planned to be released with EoD or on It's own?

For example, Tengu and Charr share rigging, so the devs wouldn't have to recreate every armor and outfit. > > There would be adjustments, sure, but its like Sylvari compared to Human, not some kind of alien. > > Tengu are often requested because they'd be the easiest race to add. Something difficult would be say, Centaurs. I personally think Largos would be the easiest race to add, they're essentially just blue humans and voice lines would just need a distorted filter. Same with Dwarves being just small norn and also being able to reuse their voicelines. Putting aside the work that adjusting every existing Charr armor/outfit to fit Tengu I think the biggest hurdle when it comes to adding a new race into the game is voicelines, I doubt they'd ever rerecord all the dialog in the game for a new race It's just way too much work to be worth it. If Tengu do come to the game as a playable race I wouldn't be surprised if they used preexisting voicelines
  15. That'd be nice or even just changing minions models based on Elite Spec.
  16. Dwarves I could see them possibly considering since I assume you could use everything Norn and just scale it down and voicelines could be reused too. Tengu not so much since the sheer amount of work involved in recreating every outfit/armor and rerecording every voiceline would be very expensive and time consuming, I get the appeal but I'm not sure why so many people want a race that would cost a lot of development time and budget that could be used elsewhere.
  17. > @"Teratus.2859" said: > Seems this chapter is more based around Jormag's minions.. kind of odd that the Dwarf's make an appearance now since they are far more involved with Primordus. > One more faction coming too.. Tengu? I hope it's the Tengu. > > But these factions really don't feel like anything yet tbh.. I don't feel like i'm building a multi race army to stand against these dragons because I can't see that progressing in the game yet. > Hopefully we'll get something that does show this in part 2. The Release page says the next faction will "Float your way on February 16th" so I assume that's the Exalted since the Dwarves and Exalted where shown fighting in the first half of the trailer. The Skirt and Tengu where shown as part of the "what the Future holds" section which Is most likely for Chapter 3 in March.
  18. I think they were good in the Story instances even if a little repetitive. What I don't like is taking those story instances and trying to turn them into repeatable content. They boil down to being a Heart Vendor to Escort to Uninteresting HP sponge boss fight that take way too long and give little to no rewards.
  19. So Looks to me like another slice of Story, 4 New DRM's, New Factions with some new Weapon skin Rewards, /Stretch emote and Stoneskin Infusion. More than the first chapter which is nice but I'm a little worried since each chapter is heavily focused on the missions. I hope they took the concerns about the first chapter seriously and have added some much needed changes to the missions.
  20. Yes please! Especially Medium armor, I'm tired of walking around like a coatrack. More stuff along the lines of the Light Armor Tribal Vestments would be perfect or even just some more form fitting armors and outfits, we've got more than enough variations of bulky coats and skirts.
  21. I get the frustration but that's what makes Thief a Thief. If you take away keep/tower portal and reduce stealth time/mobility then you end up with a squishy class that can barely help in group fights and has it's roaming potential gutted. It'd need some serious buffs to compensate.
  22. As someone who loves Griffon I think this is a great Idea. I don't think it would brake the game in anyway. Griffon can already maintain altitude if you pull up and dive often, a few updrafts wouldn't make a difference but It'd be a great QOL for the mount.
  23. Biggest Wish I have is a New Ocean themed Map where camps/towers/keeps are on Islands in a vast ocean with Siege Turtles and Boats, Think Sea of Thieves but for WvW. But at this point I'll settle for regular Balance Updates.
  24. I don't think they should change any exisiting dyes. People bought them for how they look in game now. I do think they could release a reverse permafrost dye though that is all black.
  25. Have to agree, I'm not sure why they lock skins away like this, It just doesn't make sense to me. Infusions I understand being rare but unless a skin is legendary level then I say Tie skins to interactive achievements, put them as rewards in the story or up the drop rate, Making things so scarce with grinds or low drop rates just takes away something that could have been a fun experience for players to unlock.
