  1. I seriously wonder how good Merciless Hammer has to be to compete with the other 2 choices.

While i truly believe that thematically its in the right traitline, maybe putting it somewhere else could make it more viable.

But WHERE is a good question.

Greatsword is not even close to viable in PvE.

Gameplay is a simple as it can get.

Throw banners -> Swing your axes for dmg -> Maces for CC if needed.

And remember to throw your bolas for the dmg buff.

    Thats it.

    Simple but effectiv.

  3. Maybe try core power warrior.

ALWAYS wanted but a bit bland.

    Axe/axe + Mace/mace

    Strength/tactic/discipline.

    Good dmg

    Good cc

    Very good offensive support.

Can be played literally everywhere in pve.

If you play solo content, switch tactic with Arms.

    And banners with signets.

  4. Last time i played i got Plat2, on my way to Plat3, with reaper.

I finished all my Necro Ap‘s and thought: Hey! I LOVE playing support in WvW.

So why not play support classes like druide/heal rev/tempest?

I dropped to gold 1 faster then i can think.

The moment i started to play offensive again i started to climb again.

    Note: this was in HoT.

  5. I can’t write a wall of text answer currently because im on my way home(phone).

But many people play gw2 BECAUSE its not WoW.

Let’s take normal Quest vs Hearts.

I don’t care much about the stories most quest tell.

I care more about the reward they give.

I also dont like to play endless chains of boring content.

So every time i had to look up the Quest on a wiki just to find out if its worth my time.

Hearts are done quite quickly and i get my reward directly.

My point is, i play Gw2 for a reason.

Maybe Gw2 is just not your style.

Maybe you need a little spark to find the fun.

    For the PvE part.

Im very happy that most of the pve is rather simple.

After 9 - 10 hours of work, i just want to relax and not play a second job.

    > So you're taking that over the stab mantra elite? Yikes.

Do we realy need the stab mantra with 10 Target stab shout?

But to be honest, i get perma quickness even without the shout so maybe i should change.

Also its 28s cd not 24.

    My bad.

    > Why should a class be able to both be tanky and do high amounts of damage? Either give up your tankiness or else understand that your damage will have to be nerfed,

Why should a glass cannon not get hit hard by highly telegraphed attacks, especially when the attacking class need to run strengh.

Which means the warrior has to drop defense or discipline.
