  1. I would LOVE the Power, Expertise, Precision, Ferocity stat combo!!! That would be so great for my build, a crit build on a Mesmer that uses [sharper Images](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sharper_Images) as an additional source of damage.
  2. I have around that number for the crit chance, but a slightly different build, no domination. And from what i can tell, it's "enough", but unreliable if you're relying on fury, you won't be able to have it on all the time (i think), unless you're in a party. If this is a party and not a solo build, then yeah, 70% will be enough, provided, someone can give you fury all the time. I aim for at least 75% crit, and the rest i get from precision stacking sigil and traits and stuff. But that's because i'm relying only on myself for crit chance, not on someone elses banner and boon. So having less would be ok if you're in a party. I don't know about that rune though.... 20% boon duration is like, half a second increase on most boons, it's not very useful, you could instead get a different rune to maybe boost ferocity more or whatever... That boon duration isn't going to help you much. I mean, it's not wrong, it's just my opinion. With concentration food, you might squeeze more out of it, but not much more.
  3. > @"Randulf.7614" said: > He was swallowed by Kralk since we were able to be tracked, but ofc no sign since. I would think if they want to pick the thread back up again, the connection is Taimi. There was the suggestion Taimi might utilise the same tech to save herself down the line. If Blish was to somehow return by whatever means the writers could find to restore his soul or consciousness or whatever, for Taimi and Blish to "walk off into the sunset" as sentient golems would be a suitable way to end her involvement in the wider story rather than just kill her off and it would also give Blish a happier ending. I think both characters have earned that Oh yeah, Taimi is getting more sick in LS4, that's right! Honestly, i'd welcome a happy ending like this for them. Maybe they can do it for EoD, somehow bring Blish back and have Taimi transfer to a golem as well. They definitely deserved a happy ending, both of them. I geuss the way they bring blish back is to assume he was conscious in the tracker the whole time, but since he was in an Elder Dragon, it's kind of stupid to assume Kralkatorrik wouldn't notice a tracker on him. And in the end, we see that Kralk was split between his torment and normal part so, what if the normal part of Kralk concealed Blish and allowed him to track? Kralk did want to kill himself after all, but the torment part wouldn't stop eating and he didn't have control over that. So he did what he could to let him be tracked, so that eventually Aurene and others would find and destroy him, freeing him from his torment. In the process, when he died, as a "thank you" to Blish, he teleports him somewhere to be found later, in his inactive state.
  4. > @"Fueki.4753" said: > There is still the possibility that Blish's Golem got completely obliterated by the storm we have been fleeing from in that instance. > That way, he'd definitely dead. Yeah, with what happened to Kralkatorrik, it's probably the most likely case. Unless we see him in another episode or EOD and Anet cares to explain how that is. But i wouldn't mind seeing him again.
  5. So i'm at Dragonfall and the story step requires you to feed volatile magic to a skyscale by flying it... Skyscale is definitely my no1 priorty now! Controls SO smooth and i can see now what everyone was talking about! Griffon can wait.
  6. > @"maddoctor.2738" said: > Don't preview gem store items on Norn or Charr, weapons look fine on all other races as they properly fit the preview window. While waiting for a fix you can preview anything you want from the wardrobe, that's what I do. And it looks correct on all races. Although you must remember the names because in the wardrobe you see everything, not only the items on offer. It's annoying, but it works. For a game that is focused on gem store sales to survive and evolve, not having a proper preview option for gem store items makes no sense. Yes but, all i have are Norn and Charr characters. And i know about the wardrobe, that's not the issue, it's about the "user experience"... I know i can go to the wardrobe on a human character and preview the skins and i know i can go to the wiki to see how they look there. But 1 - i don't have human characters, just charr and norn, and 2 - wiki doesn't preview how animations look if the skin has them. So it might be niche, i understand that, but like you said - they're selling skins but we have to jump through hoops to preview them properly? Makes no sense, if you're selling something for real money, customers should see exactly what they're getting. And it can be done, they did it with mount previews, full 3D rotation, they all fit inside the screen more or less... Shouldn't be that much of a problem to adjust the store previews based on that. It's not like that's some big project that would take away their time working on balance and content lol, it's just a minor detail that happens to be kinda important to people, and to Anet if they want sales.

But he didn't power down, that's the problem. The core still has power but it's used to power the Kralk tracker instead of his senses... :scream: If he's just sleeping then cool, but idk, i don't think that's it... > @"Ashantara.8731" said: > > @"Veprovina.4876" said: > > But we need closure on what happened to him. If you think the Blish thing is horrible and weird, SOMA will be hardcore. And i'm not talking about the monsters, those are "meh" and not scary, the scary part is the plot.

Sometimes skyscale is wonderful because it can grab to cliffs to give you an extra push up. You cannot go wrong with either of them. > > The big advantage of the skyscale is that there are quite some puzzles and open world achievements that requires you to use a skyscale. Cool! Thanks! And yeah, i'll get them both eventually, i know there's some stuff you can only reach with either a Griffon or a Skyscale. I'm at chapter 5 now so it won't be long before i start the Skyscale. I did some Griffon collections as well in the meantime.

Your thoughts will be interesting on that one Does it though? Cause when he was deactivated (just his power core operational), he was still conscious... He could still think. And why else would they include that docks section and him being trapped in a golem body saying "i don't want to experience that again", if they weren't going to make it his fate in the end. From a storytelling perspective, it doesn't make sense to set something up that goes nowhere, so there's that too. And this way it even makes him a greater hero and his sacrifice way grander because he knew what he would be experiencing, being trapped in nothing. And he chose to do it anyway. He's a hero! And can't wait for the story next! > @"Konig Des Todes.2086" said: > So _the way characters treat it_ is that Blish is dead, full on dead, because his power source went bye-bye. > > The thing is, Episode 3 established that "disabling higher functions" isn't killing him, just depriving him of senses. In effect, Blish put himself into the same position he was in at the beginning of S4E3 - turned off, so to speak. **His soul still inhabiting the body, but no sense of sight, hearing, touch, etc. so he was in an conscious effective void, and couldn't escape that scenario himself.** Not really in _hell_, because "being in hell" implies suffering and pain, and being deprived of touch means no pain reception either. Imagine your entire body being numb, with your eyes closed, not hearing anything, and not smelling anything. That's _kinda sorta_ close to the situation Blish should be in... if characters didn't just believe him to be straight up dead. > > Of course, characters think he's dead because the Commander wasn't clear about what Blish did, so it's the Commander's fault, Blish will be in a state of conscious nothingness until the golem's battery dies. (After that, it's unclear how it'd be, because how is the soul tied to the golem? Unanswered. If soul moves on as golem power fails, then he'd end up in the afterlife). > > I know the characters think that. Telling them the truth would probably be horrifying to them. So the commander just basically said "i'm sorry" with no explanation except that Blish didn't return so the implication was that he's dead.... But he isn't right? He's just in a personal hell. The bolded part you wrote sound quite like hell to me. Or at least the worst psychological torture. Hell doesn't just have to be "pain", and you can suffer in all kinds of ways. And i think he is suffering, if the docks are anything to go by. That last sunspear lady on the griffon quest as well, but at least Kormir gave her telephaty (or whoever), so she can at least talk to people and not go insane as much. Blish can't even do that. It's the equivalent of being completely paralyzed, blind, deaf and mute with no sense of taste or smell. It's just existing with no sensory input, it's horrifying! And yes, there's still unanswered questions on how exactly he works but from what info we have, it's kind of really sad and horrible what happened to him. > @"Fueki.4753" said: > I consider the way he ended up to be the opposite of the docks. > At the docks, he was just powered down, with all the functions, including consciousness. still intact. > > At the end however, all the higher functions, including conscious, seized to function, while his power source was still running. > Where his unconscious soul is trapped in the Golem is an unsolved mystery. > > But, we don't even know how got in the Golem. > Maybe it was just the data in his brain that was copied into the Golem and his soul entered the Mists when his body perished. Maybe.... But why would they then set up the docks storyline and explain what happened if that particular sotry thread wen't nowhere. Usually when you set up something, it goes somewhere. It could have been some funny stuff like him periodically disabled in a fight getting angirer and angrier as he regains his abilities, but i think they chose it as the ultimate sacrifice buildup. Because he chose to exist this way, completely trapped. Not just die, that's "easy", he chose conscious nothingness. :astonished: I think they wanted to show how brave he was to chose such a fate. > @"Ashantara.8731" said: > He actually explained he was fully aware when he had been deactivated. Unless the whole machine body broke when cosumed by Kralkatorrik, he might be trapped in that agonizing state forever (unless the writers bring him back somehow, which I would welcome <3 ). > > I'm still waiting for my Blish mini! I suppose Anet could be saving him for another story if his body somehow survived Kralkatorrik. They could then make a story about how he's reactivated and maybe a whole subplot of dealing with his psychological issues that would inevitabely arise from such an experience. Would be interesting if done right. And maybe he went a little crazy, makes bad choices, is a minor villain until you reason with him or whatever... Much possibilities. But we need closure on what happened to him. Or maybe just me, that story thread weirded me out way more than it should... It's not SOMA level of existential dread but it's up there for me... Also yes to Blish mini!
  10. > @"TheQuickFox.3826" said: > Well, if you call a glorified glider a glider that can jump run and glide -- yes. > And this ignores the advanced diving manoeuvres that are possible with griff as well. Yes i was talking about an unmastered griffin. Of course you can do nice things with it mastered but the unmastered griffin just glides farther and faster than a glider. Yes it can flap the wings, but that's just basically to prolong the glide. I mean, it's still useful because you can reach farther but it's not "250 gold useful" until you master it i think. 11. > @"TheQuickFox.3826" said: > I prefer the griffon over the skyscale almost anytime. It is quick and the most versatile. It can quickly hop on obstacles and hills and glide from point to point. Yeah, but with the masteries right? Cause i already flew it a bunch of times when doing eggs collection for the mount, and without any masteries, it's just a glorified glider that can go farther and it loses altitude way more than i expected. But the way things are going, i'll have the Griffon way before i get the Skyscale lol, Griffon masteries are basically, go here, do thing, pickup egg and they're easy, it's just the gold cost that's pulling me back, and not because i don't have it, but because i don't want to spend it all at once so it's just me. If i was willing to spend 250 gold now, i'd have the griffon by tomorrow lol.

  14. I agree, we don't know, but i don't think it would be that hard to implement this. I mean, the groundwork is there, just you know, take another step. But if nothing else, then it would indeed be helpful if we could preview just the weapon like on the normal preview window. Or just a zoom feature so i can see the entire weapon. We can already rotate the character, if that's implemented i'm sure that the tools to implement zooom are there as well. And indeed, it's there for mounts! So it's possible and it's in the game coded already. So... The "difficulty" of implementing this seems smaller and smaller with each argument lol.
  15. Use ReShade if you find the graphics that bad. But i don't think they are. They're not "realistic" like most of today's ones are trying to be, but the artstyle is very consistent and that's what's most important. There's some downright beautiful scenery in this game that i still awe at. Central Tyria sometimes looks a bit "not as detailed" as some HoT or PoF areas, but not by much. On the hightest settings though, the game still looks really good!
  16. Yeah, some of the JPs are really badly thought out. I mean, when you do get to the diving spot you're basically out of bounds and there's a ceiling texture you're clipping through, obscuring your view. I had to look up youtube videos to even know where to jump, you can't see the small pond from up there at all! And i wouldn't mind it so much if it really has checkpoints like you said. At least then, when the cog shoots you to your death (if no position rewinder), you don't have to start the entire puzzle again. There's some fun puzzles in the game, but this isn't one of them lol.
  17. > @"Kencu.5846" said: > > @"Veprovina.4876" said: > > > @"Kencu.5846" said: > > > Recently I've been running power interrupter chrono, it's fun, until the commander cries for veil and illusion because the other mesmers are slacking :D > > > > Can you post the build? > > Yeah if I'm not designatet to being veilbot tonight, I'll record a video and show the build) If you want, just use the build editor to showcase the build and explain what you do.
  18. I calmed down and tried again, and after tons of attempts i managed to complete it... Somehow... Thank Anet for the Position rewinder. Best item in the game! I would have give up ages ago if i had to restart the puzzle every time that cog shot me in a random direction... Horrible... And yeah, i was there for the dive master, i didn't really care for the chest, though i missed a turn first time so i went there and grabbed it anyway then returned with the position rewinder. The problem is, the first few cogs are kinda working, but the one that shoots you to the diving spot isn't. But i wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the position rewinder because you can't mesmer portal in air when the cog spits you to your death so... The position rewinder is the only reason i was able to get the diving spot and the subsequent mastery point.

That's why i love it so much. Everyone on my server is pretty chill and just having fun. But yeah, i've heard that PvP is a whole dfferent can of worms lol. Not sure why Anet would disregard it though, PvP should be something that gets increased attention for harrasement due to its nature as highly competitive.

You mentioned them, they aren't related to the question, are they? > > Last LS4 map Dragonfall is a very vertical map. Griffon is very helpful there if you don't have Skyscale. There is of course just basic gliding but that you have. There are also ley lines you can glide on (ley line gliding mastery) and oakhearth essences (oakhearth's reach mastery). These are far from essential, more just for flavour but can be helpful if you don't have Skyscale or Griffon especially during the meta. > > Thanks! I have ley line gliding and Oakheart trained already. So i'll make do with that til i get a flying mount. That's how i farm Bloodstone Fen. That 3rd waypoint, i can't glide directly like it's showed on TacO so i use updrafts and leylines to "correct" my trajectory. Of course, having a griffin or skyscale would make that trivial so i aim to get those to just make my traversing a bit easier and faster. Would cut my farming time in half there.
  21. > @"Cuks.8241" said: > I barely render those slow poke Skyscales when I swoop past them on my Griffon. > > IMO, If you haven't played LS4 yet, go for Griffon and optionally also Beetle first. You have a long way to Skyscale and those will be a big help on the way. Griffon is easy if you have the gold. Especially in Dragonfall you will be grateful for that Griffon. How are you with Hot masteries? I don't know how you traverse that map without both. > > Skyscale is the best all-around mount and is great if you predominantly use 1 mount. If you have all the mounts bound to keys and are used to constantly switching between them you will use it much less. For short-medium distances over flat terrain and closed quarters, raptor or jackal. For long distances, beetle or griffon. For engages, bunny or raptor. For vertical climbing and rough terrain, Skyscale. Skyscale just obsolete bunny in that department, it can gain bigger height and is much more precise. It's also nice because you can hover and chill in hostile territory. It's also an annoying mount because you flap those ugly wings across half of the peoples' screen and they can't see anything. > Beetle and Griffon are also way cooler and races could be a game on it's own. Thanks for your input! Like i said, i'm in no hurry and i might unlock Griffon way before i collect all the stuff for Skyscale. Cause i know it's mostly just collecting stuff and some bounties or whatever.... Why do HoT masteries matter though? You mentioned them, they aren't related to the question, are they? I mean, i have most of HoT masteries, Glider fully unlocked, and just 4 masteries missing. Can't be bothered to do mastery points right now but they're all trained. In PoF, i unlocked Beetle today, but other than that, and the missing mount masteries, i have all of them (minus the diving skimmer one which is not a priority right now). So i'm good when it comes to mastery unlocks, mastery rank 192. The most important ones are unlocked, the rest is just flavour. So, i'm making like, 10g a day from fractals, plus, other sources, so, getting Griffon is just a matter of time really. I could probably unlock it right now if i wanted, but i don't want to drop below a certain gold amount so that's just me. But i have the gold for it, that's not the issue. And i'm in Jahai Bluffs now, so Skyscale won't even be started for another few days at least. And when i do start it, the time gates will give me time to work on the Griffon masteries. So, depending on my willingness to spend gold on it at once, i might actually unlock it before Skyscale after all.
