That would rule out repeated Mount-wiping. The goal, after all, is to help when you are travelling, esp in a train, whether meta, hp, or bounty, or even just a party, all of which require u to keep up with the main body. You don't need an adventure/journey every time you want to travel somewhere that you've already explored before. You can get that fix elsewhere. You only explore once - after that, you have specific destinations and goals in mind.

You might modify ur request to have a new key bind option for that? Assuming there's enough people who would benefit from such an additional keybind

I am not at all jealous/envious that ppl have skyscales. At all. I am not in the least bit interested in asking Anet to change your skyscale functionality or its looks on your screen. When I am free and feel like it, I will also get the scale for myself.

As for comparing with other mounts when they were newly released, I wasn't bothered - was anyone? I dunno...

The current problem is that the animation for the scale's low altitude hover is very pronounced and visually disruptive with negative effects on some ground players.

Please let us toggle the animation of other ppls scales off on our screens if possible.

I would like to re-emphasise that my personal gripe is with the constant flapping of the big wings, in and out and in of sight, that cannot be avoided. This is parallel to complaints of framer ate loss, and different from any complaint that ppl are showing off their mounts, and many ppl's suggestions is to reduce their clutter on our screen if we choose to toggle it so

Of cos, there's another issue that will worsen over time, ppl afking near bosses after tagging them. It has already started. But that's a different issue.

Mebbe those who tome their 10ers? So setup + 8 double clicks per week, but the frustration at a minor qol might add up

But the most Impt thing is that no game content requires this specific combo (but only as an additional, better option in specific situations). As an adult, you can restrict yourself to get the end effect you desire, by simply not using the skill. You don't need a nanny to restrict your options so you are forced to not use this combo

I didn't buy the original set, and I absolutely will never buy it in its current form, and there are skins in there that I want, but

It would be unfair (any time soon) to those who already got it, because they had to factor this RNG into their purchase decision, perhaps even buying the whole pack. They might never have done that if select licenses were already available. Think doing this would be like spitting at those who supported Anet first. If I had bought that set I would be unhappy too.

Some egs to consider:

1) ppl afking at teq laser - they cause champs to spawn at the wp (instead of vets), which can overwhelm the 1-3 volunteers for that defense spot in an overflow map. They afk there till the last phase, when they finally go to tag. Once, I shifted from NW def to NE because the South turrets were being overrun, and it was really miserable trying to solo the 3 champs - thanks to the afkers at laser.

2) ppl afking at AB East, not helping to bomb octo, some not even helping to attack after tagging

3) ppl sending summons/pets to fight mat, then hiding in safety, while causing mat to dash around and the fight goes from a potential fast 1.5min to 5-10 agonising min.

4) 90% of people slacking at shadow behemoth, while a handful run around to clear the portals.

It's a fact that OP has a point, that there are selfish people in the game. This isn't about elitism, nor just about begrudging that ppl get free meals. Those are ppl who truly are selfish, and whose presence does cause scaling that players have to cover for, and selfishness begets more selfishness.

@op, just let it be. Like some others have pointed out, there's no simple solution to this issue. Any 'solution' is likely to cause different unintended problems. Sometimes the cure can be worse than the disease

Well, if you want to spice up jormag, it must come with improved rewards k... Making it more 'interesting' with the current rewards, I dunno abt that...

If rewards get improved (to teq-standard) , then you could

change cannons to be useable like someone already mentioned, with the following functions:

1) shoot to smash icicles

2) shoot lavaballs to damage the minions and create small firefields

3) shoot something at jormag to slowdown his recovery (he was supposedly shot down, that's the premise for him obediently standing there for ppl to poke his toes. Or shoot some kinda glue to keep him grounded

4) shoot something at his face to disrupt his ice breath attacks

Ledges:

1) get rid of those crazy champ tanks that are not worth killing...

2) create vet shamans that do their typical summoning (ala frozen maw) and need to be killed

Players

1) create player-useable mortar kits that we can setup, with similar functions to turrets

2) mine/grenade-packs using special action key. You can use catapult mechanics to lob deployable mines into the ice field

3) jormag spawns minions from where he is, the mines kill them

4) set an npc to tell ppl to pick these up and use them

5) lob flashbangs to ministun jormag

With repeated emphasis that if there are changes, it should be in the direction of teq, not ire.

Most ppl miss the point... You only need to 'worry' about your midriff in pvp, when fighting ppl using blades and what-not. BUT.

In open world, you are fighting elder dragons, wyverns, orcs, dinosaurs, war robots, lasers, poison spit etcetc, so you don't need to protect the midriff and boobs etc.

Furthermore, your armor pieces' defense values combine into a meta value that protects your whole body magically. Heck, even cotton and silk can provide defense against both blades and the slam of an elder dragon. It's magic, obviously.

So, logically speaking, you are free to wear whatever you like, and there's really no need to fret, not even for pvp. Just wear whatever takes your fancy, and let other ppl wear whatever we like.

You've got scale, chain armor etcetc if you're still worried tho

It's not completely true that you should destroy just because you don't need it now...

Look at how blsk has become the only (commonplace) way to retrieve runes/sigils. And then there's RNG. My main acc has half a blsk - probably gotten 5 in 2.5 years, while a sub acc has 10-20 or something in <1yr. Really regret wasting them freely before the rune/sigil revamp...

Ah sry I gave the wrong impression. I don't recall any reset for trinkets either, my statement is based only on the 2 or 3 times they have resetted frac-purchased armors in the past. And it's just a logical deduction that infusion slots are made to work the same way, same as with the stat-selection interface, cos why make different codes.

Well, even if they mess it up (very unlikely), they'll fix it anyway. They aren't like those kind of companies that bunker down and wait for the anger to blow over.

How much gold would those 6 stacks convert to tho? Est 26k vol magic? It's not as cheap as it appears...

As for my vote, they should reduce only if they can reimburse, but I do think 250 is a bit over the top. 100 would have been more in line with the scope of this mount, on top of all the earlier chores. I seriously doubt they will reduce this though, but hope they reconsider not doing this for future mounts.

(I did expect that there would be another aurora for lw4, but since I have no intention to get GoB, I figured I wouldnt need to stockpile those currencies. My main coincidentally happened to be short of only ep 3(130) and 4(220). But people shouldn't be too sure that there won't be another aurora on top of skyscale)

Btw, does anyone know if Anet permits any program to run 2 copies of gw2 simultaneously, or is that against the toc? And if allowed , what's a good one? I'm tempted to buy home nodes on my main to let my subs farm them for the skyscale, but only if its allowed of cos

Although it might be immersion breaking, create a universal entrance for all dungeons, where dungeon players can meet and gather and discuss in person what they want to play, or compromise and take turns helping each other.
