  1. Personally, I never had any interest in Jormag *until* this season. I really like the way they've portrayed Jormag, and the voice acting has been spot on. I agree I would like more Norn content, but I don't think the mix with Charr stories is bad. I just wanted more. The saga announcement gave the impression this would be a sweeping epic that deep dives into Norn lore as well as Charr cultural issues. At this moment it seems we only got two episodes each for both races, and I certainly expected more than that. It still stands to see what Champions does. It could continue expanding on Norn lore, though I am doubtful as the shift seems to focus on Primordus as a threat.
  2. I won't be upset if they kill Primordus off this season, but as it stands with established lore/plot we can't let another dragon die. If anything, we may attempt to put Prim back to sleep. If a dragon does die it's going to be accidental, or a result of Jormag and/or Primordus getting too bold. I'd say Jormag is more likely to die in this fashion as a consequence that leads us into End of Dragons, but that only works if the world doesn't self-destruct immediately after losing another dragon.
  3. I liked her a lot. Sad she had to leave, especially if the incentive was for other people to keep their jobs over her own. How cruel. I hope she's moved on to better pastures. I'd love her back, but only if she wanted to return. Wouldn't blame her for going elsewhere.
  4. In the end whatever they do will depend on the journey to reach that conclusion, how well built that narrative is and the character development and world building involved. If they make Aurene a singular pillar of the All, it better be a fantastic journey to get there because the writers will have invalidated very deeply infused plot threads from the last several years. If another dragon dies, there should be major consequences. If Aurene can hold all magic, there better be some great writing/journeying to make me buy into the bait and switch. It’s not like I’ll quit the game, but foregoing the massive problem (need for multiple dragons to prevent the world from ending) we’ve been trying to balance will be a huge disappointment. It would just feel cheap after all this build up, imo. I don’t think they’ll go that route, but the worry is there.
  5. If we intentionally go to Cantha, it would be cool to ride elder dragon Aurene. >_> Airship seems most realistic, but dredge tunnel would be the coolest! And there's always the chance we don't intentionally go to Cantha. Maybe we get sucked into the Mists and spit out in Cantha. :P

The definitions are not even remotely close. > > I'm pretty sure if the developers had wanted to suggest we are making peace with Jormag, the wording of the episode would have reflected that. Not to mention the other 3 episodes, for which we already have the titles, suggest that there is some chain of events which will unfold. Exactly. A truce is an agreement to stop fighting or arguing temporarily. It’s not synonymous with peace or cooperation. It’s a cease-fire. How long that truce will stick, who knows? Moreover, we don’t know for sure “truce” even references us vs Jormag. It probably does, but it’s not official yet.

Or maybe we’ll get that plot *and* Primordus does something over in cantha. Obviously anet can generate new stories and characters whenever they want, but from what we know now Kuunavang is probably the only suitable potential elder dragon replacement Any “high dragon” should be a suitable candidate. We’ve yet to establish if saltspray dragons are, I believe, but seeing as how Kuunavang is on par with Glint it’s very likely saltsprays are high dragons. So ideally she and any other saltspray dragons could work, and we know of at least two more - Shiny and Albax (I think he’s still alive?).

Well, I suppose it could still be a battle. It could lead them to say “this is useless, we have a bigger threat to worry about.” We’ll have to see on a Tuesday. As far as the world building has established, our characters know we can’t afford to let Jormag OR Primordus die.
  9. I think many people agree that Aurene solving all our problems would be a huge cop-out from the threads/lore building the writers themselves established. Even if the narrative team has drastically changed, I don’t see why they wouldn’t honor the story that came before them. I’ll be disappointed if they retcon the need for multiple beings to hold up the All, unless we actually manage to modify it somehow.

I would imagine the devs wouldn’t haven’t to add as much dev time if it wasn’t a full blown map with events etc. Honestly it could be an instance where we come to this “truce.” Maybe it’s more of a conference than a battle, if this scene happens lol.
