  2. @"Kaltyn of Torbins Deep.2946" That's good to know! Thanks for the additional insight.
  3. Many of the more popular sites (in my opinion) offer builds and suggestions that are more in line with raiding or competitive formats and not so much open world PvE; however, in many cases almost any build will work in OWPvE.
  4. I have no idea what wowhead is. If you're looking for information, the [wiki](http://wiki.guildwars2.com/) is a really good resource

Changing resolution wouldn't solve the issue. The preview window would render within the same space but at a different ratio.
  6. I am of the opinion that not every achievable thing should be available in every format. As a very casual PvE player, I know that there are many things that I will never acquire, especially something like this because I have no interest in raids. I believe that if a player wants certain items that require a particular format, then that player needs to engage in that format to obtain them.

  8. > @"Caro.2730" said: > I would like to understand why they refuse to acknowledge our passion for this dress. If there is a particular reason why they can't turn it into outfit, I'd like to know, but since there is still some hope left, I'm still waiting for it! From where I'm standing, I can't make up any reason for that. They managed to turn Exemplar Attire into outfit, why this one should be different? Maybe the outfit makers are not aware of this thread? Can someone from Anet pass this to them? Pretty please? That's what this thread is for: [https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/53097/suggestions-qol-quality-of-life-ideas-merged](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/53097/suggestions-qol-quality-of-life-ideas-merged#latest) They have told us that they watch that one. I would recommend making suggestions there as it seems to me that Anet doesn't have the time to scroll through entire forums of threads to look for things that players want. Note, however, that there still is no guarantee that ideas will be addressed or adopted; just that posting in the correct thread should give suggestions a better chance of being seen.

I can't remember who the current CEO is but the mass layoff happened under Mike O'Brian, who was then replaced by Mike Z, who was then replaced by whoever it is now. Anet's management has always been lacking (and still is given how half of IBS was scrapped with little warning to the devs), but the game did rebound after O'Brian left and the pipelines were cleared out. > > And NCSoft's quarterly reports are readily available and show GW2 as doing just fine with it being their most profitable title in the West and only behind Lineage and Lineage 2 in the PC market now and about tied with Blade & Soul, so financially Arenanet is doing fine, especially with the one title bringing in enough money that not one but two projects were being fully funded by it. And that's with next to no marketing of GW2, though that's a whole other topic. Also, the layoffs had nothing to do with GW2; rather, other projects that were in development and then canned.

The most useful to me i think has been the Bunny! It's amazing how such an "early" mount will still be relevant later. Speaks volumes on the great design of the mounts! I mean, even when i had the borrowed skyscale mount in Dragonfall, i still used the Springer a lot of the times. The least one i use is the jackal but only because it's so specific that i don't know where to use it instead of just using the Raptor. Unless there's a sand portal, Raptor is almost always better. Jackal is basically reduced to "a thing you use to enter portals", and there's not many of those around. I wish they could implement more uses for it, some sand roads like in PoF, those are amazing, running on sand so high up! But criminally underused. > > > > > > > > I already got the beetle and i'ts literally amazing how fast i can get to places with it! Sometimes i drift wrong and end up splat in a wall or off a cliff but that's the fun of it. In more flat maps, it's THE mount to use! Amazing mount! I ended up using it more than i thought i would. I thought i'd get it for completion sake, but now it's my go to mount! > > > > > > > > Plus, i know i'll use other mounts as well when i get the griffon and skycale. Raptor is useful when you have gaps to go over, or lots of flat land with obstacles. Skimmer for bodies of water. Beetle for vroom vroom. Bunny can still scale heights faster than Skyscale, Griffon for vroom vroom in the air. However, Skyscale is all around useful everywhere. > > > > Disagree with jackal. Raptor with no jumping manages inclines for me just fine, had no reason to try anything else honestly. > And since i got the roller beetle, i use raptor even less. I just use it if i need to jump far and in citites, but that's about it. > But i still use it more than the Jackal, idk, they should maybe put in more uses for the jackal. > Or maybe increase its speed a little bit to be faster on flat ground or inclinces than the raptor, that would make it more usable. Jackal is only slightly slower than the raptor, which I believe is by design. Personally, I find it a lot easier to control so it is quite useful for me. Just goes to show that players can have different preferences for things, which is cool. Much like others, though, the skyscale is my primary choice. I may not always get there first, but I will get there and enjoy the trip. :)

  12. Good point. I assumed if one had the tome then one would also have the scrolls, but that's not necessarily the case.

Yep. It works well in a shared inventory slot, too. ;)

  15. "Struggling" is a matter of perspective. I disagree.
  16. Sure, I'll cut them a little slack. However, the beetle isn't required to complete content, so it's really just a QoL thing. If players want it, then they should buy Season 4, play the content and gain the mount. /shrug EDIT: this is the same argument that people have about allowing horse mount rentals (or somesuch) in starter zones. At some point, Anet needs cash and can't just keep giving QoL things away for free.
  17. > @"Astralporing.1957" said: > Yes, that's the point. People keep asking for a next tier, but almost noone says (or even considers) what this new tier should offer (and why might we want it) - and **that** is the key issue here. Adding a new tier for the simple purpose of adding a tier doesn't sound to me like a compelling argument at all. > Thanks. That's how I thought I was reading it. I wonder, perhaps, if the request is because "ascended runes/sigils" which would have pretty much the same thing as legendary ones is the thought that they would be easier to obtain much like ascended gear is easier to obtain than legendary gear. Other than this point, I can't see any real reason for the request/suggestion.

  19. > @"HuldraG.7513" said: > Just sad they are willing to lose long time players. You're blaming Anet?
  20. Perhaps in your experience, true. Anet seems to disagree, or at least they don't see a significant enough of an advantage to make the effort.
  21. I'm too casual to understand perhaps. There is no significant difference between ascended and legendary gear, right? If that's so, then what purpose would ascended runes/sigils serve since there exists legendary ones? Sorry if I'm ignorant here.
  22. Not sure about PoF in your experience, but I picked up masteries for the mounts just by doing the story.
  23. It's not being obstinate. They've already said that the UI is one of the hardest things to work on because of the legacy code that is in it. Also, it risks breaking something else, so I gather that it's not worth the time/effort for so little gain.
