I feel that running farming routes wastes that time. /shrug

As an engineer, being able to see when my kit and forge skills are ready without having them in use would mean the world. Under Options (F11), General Options (first tab) there is a check box for Show Skill Recharge. Will that work?

I'm not the one who made the statement. You're the one who claimed to know what the majority of the community doesn't like without the slight of evidence to be considered valid. > @"Touchme.1097" said: > It became clear to me that most of the gaming community here doesn't like PoF maps and sitting in LFG for 4 hours waiting for players to join my squad just for one bounty champion has become unbearable. The fact that many enjoy the New Year celebration might account for your experience in that the PoF maps may appear less populated. This might account for the lack of participation in the events that you seek. I suggest joining a guild and getting members there to help. I saw where you said that you haven't been able to get any assistance from the two guilds that you're in. Maybe join one that will be more helpful.
  4. Sorry, but your experience does not speak for most of the players. Consider, too, that the New Year celebration is going on right now which attracts a good portion of the population.

  7. > @"Jski.6180" said: > I just explained the justification... Anet never went after the elite spec class in a real way to get them more in line but they went after the core classes over and over. That is bad balancing and the mind set that core classes are not worth running. When was the last time you ran core ele? Wait. I thought that your entire argument hinged on the elementalist class having no mechanics. Now you're talking about balance, which is a completely different thing. If you want to argue balance, then that assumes mechanics are already in place and that you believe those mechanics need tuning or adjustment.

  9. > @"Jski.6180" said: > At some point you got to realize its not enofe to have 2 more "swaps" the other classes there needs to be something there a real reason to swap and right now there not. [From the Wiki](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elementalist): Although the elementalist has access to only one weapon set during combat, they effectively have the ability to switch between four different skill sets by changing attunements. There are five possible weapon sets (nine after accounting for elite specializations), giving a total of twenty (or thirty-six) when changing attunements. - - There are plenty of reasons to swap between elements, based on the situation at hand and the weapon set selected. EDIT: whoa! didn't know the font would go like that. not intentional

No one knows how little or big of an effort such a thing would entail. Sure, it seems minor to you (and many of us, I'm sure) but we already know that the code is built on old, convoluted code which can have unintended consequences when changed. Figuring out what might break when making a change in code like this can be a very big task. As to the second point, I'm pretty confident that if this change would significantly increase sales over the resources that would be needed to make the change, then Anet would have done so. It's always about the money. :)
  12. > @"Veprovina.4876" said: > I would LOVE the Power, Expertise, Precision, Ferocity stat combo!!! Why would anyone choose any other combination?
  13. By calling it a lie, you are almost suggesting that ANet is misleading on purpose. There is no evidence to support that claim. Rather, in my opinion, one might say that the description does not appear accurate. Calling out Anet as a "liar" is not helpful to support your position. Just my 2 coppers. Good luck.
  14. You may disagree with the outfit description, but calling it a lie and then asking for Anet to do something is probably not going to get anywhere.

It is however a few years newer than GW2 vanilla and I would say that a more fair comparison is GW2 HoT vs ESO vanilla, or GW2 PoF vs ESO later expansions. ESO was definetly backed by more funding from the start too. Guesses has been somewhere around 50%+ more money than GW2 development pumped into it, I think. ESO wasn't built on its predecessors old code, either.

So rather than focus on the things that you mention that never get done, you would prefer the devs to make a floaty chair that doesn't progress the game in any real sense? I see your agenda here, but sarcasm aside I can't believe that you would want this done instead of fixing things that displease you about the game. But w/e

To me, a wooden club would be more like a mace whereas a hammer is a two-handed ordeal. A larger club might make sense for a druid to me, though.

So I whispered him just to tell him respect on the build. He was totally polite, despite me ganking him in the middle of a fight he was holding his own in. He gets it. Just helping the team. No need for salt. I might enjoy WvW if I had experiences like this. Instead, almost all of my experiences have been the polar opposite.
  21. How can you have an "on block" effect on something that is unblockable?
  22. Well, we don't know how hard it would be to fix or how much development resources would be required to address it. It could be a lot more than we expect since much of GW2 is built on the old, spaghetti code. I agree, though, that a better preview for items like this would be appreciated. The regular preview panel (outside of the BLTC) has three view options. It would be helpful if that window opened from the BLTC preview button.

I'm not sure that they would net more money as they would have to make two, different mount skins.
  24. I still don't see how a hammer can be thematic for a ranger. To me, it is too large and bulky of a weapon, better served for more fighter-type classes than ranger. Just my opinion.
