If the Dev's haven't already thought of it please bring them back for festivals. Metal legion rocking some Christmas Carols would be awesome. Most of my guild recon that it would rock. I think after the abysmal Burning Man event and the annoying hidden poi , I got a bit put off by it all. lokh.2695 Posted October 31, 2019 Share Posted October 31, 2019 As a player: The event has lots of things to do and is different from the usual "swing your sword, swing your sword again" action open world events offer. The event is more on the funny side of things which I appreciate every now and then in this game, rewards could be better, even if it's just Karma. As a character ingame: Metal Legion obviously is spreading pro charr segregation propaganda and I don't know if everyone would be fine with them playing in DR or LA. Maybe from this tention some other nice events could be programmed. Maybe, in time, the world of tyria will be filled with more bands or orchestras and more concert events. Alas, if you watch the Guild Chat in which they discussed Metal Legion you will learn that they simply don't have the resources to expand the band's venues, though they'd like to if they could. I like the Metal Legion and I'd like to see more of them and more of other musicians, but if there's too much it could get boring really fast. It would lose the novelty very quickly and not everyone is a big fan of them to begin with. But it would be nice to have more events similar to it in the future. These are traditional songs and (in my opinion at least) any ... attempt to "metallize" such a song is in fact a ... perversion. So, bring the Metal Legion for SAB / Lunar New Year / Halloween / etc. Keep them away from any Christmas song. Sincerely Yours, O.
