  1. Support warrior is pretty easy since all buttons heal. Core necro is pretty tanky to play, support tempest and I think water weaver are Tanky too, don't forget renegade and condi rev

This game has been out for a while now you would expect people to at least know the basics. > > Unfortunately Anet stopped supporting a competitive scene in gw2 pvp A LOOONG time ago (if they ever did honestly..) > So yea, unfortunately that's the situation and has been for several years now. I quit the game some time ago for that exact reason and will probably never come back at this point.. I'm just here because I'm bored and can't do anything useful/meaningful at the moment. How about having fun with the game and just play
  3. Axe on Ranger is pretty dope, since you play it with dagger offhand you have 1 extra dodge and automatically more defense than in lb, axe 1 gives nice might, axe 3 gives aoe chill and weakness. Lb is more for roamer oriented stuff, while axe dagger pretty solid sidenode weapons are
  4. It searches often for close rated players, sometimes people are rated to low or you get huh rated people in. But also sometimes you can have people with equal skill but 1 team wins the first fight and start snowballing the other team And they can't get out of the snowball.
  5. I agree with the guys above me, dh should be in that case the first target. In General focus that guy that takes most dmg and can't kite at worse. Easy kills is on general better because you outnumber enemy's and they can start snowballing
  6. Infuse light is fine, the glow is bright and you can watch the buff bar when the heal utility is used you know he can use glint. It's the same with the fear staff skill, and the mirage stun, all 0,5 seconds cast time is enaugh, increasing cast time makes slower and dump game more down, the animation is good visible even when mirage is stealthed.

  8. Reduce a Lil bit the blind than scrapper good I guess, not shredding the blind just touching it
  9. I saw this year the first time hackers and it where 3 or 4,i missed the flying rifle warrior but I saw the guys porting all over (or under) the map. Bots are existent but there are mostly in bronze or in late-night matches, EU has iirc less bots than na and less of an bot problem. On na on the other hand there is a massiv not problem, some. Of the bots are sitting in gold 2, idk what this says about the players on na but there are more bits and in more divisions than on eu

Ahhh I mean 2 last year and 1 this year
  11. As a pvp only player I can not really recommend playing pve (I find it very boring) but if you enter pvp don't get frustrated at the start, look at all traits you have on your class build something that you think is fine and test it out against golems, npc enemy's or real players in the free for all arena. The game is very high mechanical skill based, so take care you can get enemys that playing pvp since over 8 years. But it's very fun and thx to the complexity of the build maker you can make a build for your play style. Otherwise I can recommend watching some guides on YouTube and get some builds on metabattle or godsofpvp. Also try classes out when you do not like the movement or weapon skills, all classes play very different, in my case I can play Ranger pretty decent but on every other class I am a pretty hard noob. Enjoy the freedom of pvp, the extreme well made combat and don't get frustrated by getting smashed against other players at will always happen, there is always a better player than you

  13. 1. He does not the balance 2. He playes the game so I guess it's good when anet devs play their own game
  14. Automated tournaments, a pvp league system, a monthly tournament where the winner has a statue in game, you have an open pvp arena in the heart Of the mists, you have between the pvp ranked seasons an off season (it's currently till Tuesday) mini seasons 2v2, 3vs3, there is a new game mod (only in unranked an offseason maybe) called stronghold and you get now a lot Of gold in pvp, you also have top titles if you enter the top 250 in the leader bord

What was called "flavor of the month" was simply replaced by what we call "meta build" now. Because players simply seek to be the most effective possible when they play and could care less about builds that are slightly less effectives. The only real difference in build diversity is that before players actually tried to pioneer new directions while now almost everybody simply follow the "meta". The number of options didn't go down, they've gone up in fact, what changed is the player's readiness to thread new paths. > > > > Players have lost the notion of viability, they have a misconception of the "meta" being synonimous to "viable". And the worst is that when a non-meta build start to show a bit of efficiency they rush in this very subforum to beg ANet to bring down this build. I'll be mean but in reality it's not that the build diversity has gone done, it's that players hate build diversity. > > I don't full agree with this conclusion, but i don't disagree either. Players indeed have shot down builds the moment they crop up, and it's why i hate the "nerf this nerf that" mentality that was basically supported by CMC ever since he gained control of balance changes. > > We have seen builds appear since the nerfs...but then those builds within weeks are taken down...and some of these are not just nerfs to put it under control, but drastic nerfs that "essentially" remove it from accomplishing any meaningful goal. > > The truth is that the flavor of the month kind of balance is what we should be having...but that is not the case in gw2 as of right now. I don't think that players lacking the motivation to pioneer new builds is the reason for this...i think that it is just bad balance that makes more and more options not viable....and thus theory crafters like me are pushed more and more toward the current meta builds as those are quickly converging as being the only builds that can actually be used to accomplish SOMETHING rather then being a punching bag with a feather for a weapon. > > I've had probably 6 different reaper builds at HOT (Proc-shoutmancer, Heal-Rezbot necro, Condi Reaper, Boonmancer, DM/SR Power Reaper, and then plain ol' Zerk Reaper.) Now i just have 1, which is zerk reaper...and frankly nothing else seems to even work well enough to compare. Because reaper was op back than
  16. Just leave the aoe, it is there for a few seconds and your enemy's waste his skills to Nothing. Than you go and kill

(See permeating wrath) > Secondly, it's a .75s cast time + travel time. You can't make it slower. > > You can decrease the cast time by 0.25 and increase the travel time. By 0.25,idk I. Would not change much but the spear travels rly fast and at least I can't tell the animation outside of the spear itself. As I said it can also by a problem With my self
  18. > @"Shao.7236" said: > I don't get your reasoning. > > Power Burst meta would suck the life out of this game. Conditions as much as people complain is not meta and it's damage overtime justifies all the reasons why they are allowed to be tankier. > > If one condition build overperforms in every way, there'a a lot more to consider than just it being condition. > > Knight Power Rangers were the best example of that, the amulet allowed all their REALLY good tools to cover even more while the pet could do the work, this is still kind of a problem and they have hit Paladins in the past for it. > > Also there's other factors such as player understanding over all the modifiers this game has, at peak gameplay some classes are extremely impervious during a set amount of time that needs to be deciphered by typically waiting it out which is a viable strategy given the game is cooldown based, tools come into play at that time. I agree but condi shouldn't also be that bursti as burn dh and condi Thief (it's not as extreme as dh is) are. PS knight Amulett wasn't that big of a thing as cavalier was on Ranger
