Not sure how you circumvent the 5 person AoE cap, but k

Tis always the off-meta build which pays the harshest toll for it's OP cousin.

It's not my settings, it doesn't happen every time. Happens about as frequently as seeing someone else's warclaw turn into a Saturn v

    Agreed

The temptation is always there to diversify, but it doesn't scale 1:1. When you try to get a little bit better with a secondary role you end up A LOT worse in your main role.

Been a long time since you played vanilla guard, eh?

SoS being ocx centric isn't exactly a new thing

  9. Near 12 pages of nerf them, mines' fine.

I don't know how anyone could offer valid input on such a massive shift..

But here's mine: Dwarf Stance, Barrier, Firebrand tomes offering 8x the support of the original guardian. Can we really go back to the original damage output but leave contemporary mitigation in place without the blob becoming immortal?

Want the mount, put in the work, everyone else did.

    Very much agree.

We knew weeks in advance it was coming, and if you logged in within the first few weeks of warclaw release you'd have a ktrain of PvE'rs getting their mount. Took most of a month to get back to business as usual. With all the leveling, equipment acquisition and just plain lack of skill a newbie is _already_ facing, being left in the dust is downright shitty

    > >

    > > Why do you assume that it is only the bigger group with someone mounted? The mount stomp has been a boon for the smaller group. It lets them chip away at numbers faster and less need to sustain after an initial bomb so as not to have the downs rally off your own players who take more damage from bigger groups.

    >

    > edit: now that i thought about it under the shower, the difference is actually if you fight open field, or inside an objective

    > in the open field mount stomp will give the bigger group even more of an advantage, because of already mentioned reasons.

I would argue the exact opposite.

The smaller group cannot stand it's ground, the blob can always finish downstates by standing on them. Same goes for a res, once a friendly downstate is inside the boonball, the chance of stomping is near zero.

Mount stomp offers a chance to circumvent all the second chances a blob gets, while doing nothing to the smaller group that wasn't going to happen anyways.
