  1. I'm still waiting for the patch that makes me skilled.
  2. Never. If players want to AFK they should do before signing up for a match. And I /report players who do so. Not that reporting will do anything, but at least it gives the feeling of doing the right thing. Exception for players who kindly apologize beforehand. ("Sry, doorbell, moment please" for example)
  3. I already got legendary weapons. I don't see the use of releasing another set of new weapon skins time after time. I would prefer the development talent to be put in something really new instead.
  4. There are rumours in Divinity's Reach that hovering over the affected trait crashes the game client.
  5. > @"snoow.1694" said: > Idea is simple, too many unskilled players are confusing Anet by constantly crying about stuff, that actually isn‘t strong. I feel like taking part in balancing issues should only be allowed at a certain skill level, meaning if you reached Plat 1 to Legendary in your last season. Letting people in lower divisions take part in such important decisions will just further ruin the quality of the meta, because most of them don‘t know what they are actually talking about Just give the plat+ players their own server with their own balance so that the balancing for a tiny subset of the player base does not affect the playability of the majority.

  7. I hate to say this, but Mistforged Triumphant Hero's armor requires 500 rank now after ArenaNet changed this, invalidating the achievement of all players who reached rank 2000 for this prestige armor.

Well, I mean that damage was high in comparison to defense/health. And I indeed prefer a higher time to kill. Nerfing is an instrument and it should be kept in the toolbox for when it it appropriate.
  9. I disagree. A year ago everything was overpowered. The overall nerfing has been a good thing. I'm not getting one-shot anymore in sPvP.
  10. They have been a major disappointment. Not that the missions are bad, they are ok, but since DRM happened, there have been no quality living world releases with a new map, a good set of storyline missions and/or meta.
  11. > @"Linken.6345" said: > You only need 20 match wins so it can take how ever many tournaments you need for it to get that in total. Yeah, I guess that is one way. But I wonder if groups take players with my (Silver 3, 1100) player skill level. In normal ranked I already encountered a lot of salt in some matches, and team mates who want to force me into other builds and classes. (Which would end in disaster. Been there, done that)
  12. I'm hoping for a release with a new map at least. Icebrood saga has been nice except for the dragon response missions.
  13. Maybe it would be a solution to have to solve a CAPTCHA every 5 to 10 matches to discourage botting.
  14. I ended up with Carrion amulet and Dolyak rune for some toughness. It lacks the healing power but makes good in the condition damage and health. I tried sage first but with no toughness I ended up being dead before I could make use of my healing abilities, especially with all the interrupts, fears and knockdowns going on. I needed something more passive.
  15. I usually send out a lot of AOE bleeds and burns as tempest and use my speed buffs to not get caught in the minion bunch. Then just watch then bleed and burn to death.
  16. > @"Dahkeus.8243" said: > Pinging the map is generally a hell of a lot more effective and efficient than typing anything for many of the reasons mentioned already. Chat tends to be full of emotions, but the mini map cuts a lot of that out...aside from when people have a melt down and spam pings. Minimap is not always too clear. What is the difference in an instruction of "I go to here", "You go there", "Warning, don't go here"?
  17. One common factor in the grand majority of losing sPvP battles is the amount of chat. The chat may not be always the cause of the losses, but it does not help to turn the tide. So, the less chat the better. Only exceptions are a making a strategy before the match starts or very short indications like: "The next bell should be ours" or "Go to tranquility"
  18. Send in a support ticket. Support does not usually read the forums. Be sure to mention your country and the payment method you are using. In the mean time you can try another payment method like PayPal if you have an account there.
  19. We do not need less runes. We need more choice if you ask me. The best option to me would be to restore the normal gear options for sPvP that we have had in PvE and WvW since day 1. Only this allows for fine tuning to allow anyone to play with the stats they like and counter the meta in creative ways. This is how sPvP started in GW2 and how it should be today.
  20. > @"ixora.3569" said: > You get these brain dead players literally not capturing objectives and going into a team fight alone and getting destroyed. This game has been out for a while now you would expect people to at least know the basics. After a 10 game losing streak its clear as day matchmaking isnt working.[...] You should not judge the matchmaking system on such a low number of games. These streaks can happen and usually when you ended up significantly above or below your player skill level. My player skill level is between 1100 and 1200. I had some bad luck in my placement matches and was put in 950. After this, I had a big winning spree to around 1250. Now I'm losing again because my rating had grown above my skill level. Because of luck and of course the other players in your team, the adjusting will have jagged edges, but in my experience things always even out again. Your losing spree will give you access to easier matches again after which you will have more wins again. The game tries to achieve a win/loss ratio of around 50% in the long run.
  21. Doesn't the mac has a compatibility layer for Windows applications, similar to Wine for Linux? PC gaming always as been centered around Windows and x86/x64.
  22. Back in the days you HAD to go to the WvW maps for World Completion. Maybe a good thing. I wanted the reward so I just came there and discovered the points of interest whenever a location was owned by my server. It was a nice intro. I still play WvW. Mostly casually.
  23. This is my general build for WvW and PvE http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGhAsilFkwoSbMxssyGZoOKPWtdA-z1YYrQBEBBWjmyvvQpIBSKguAJMI0OBBsZeA-w For PvE I also have a pure berserker build I run in strike missions. I currently have no build for sPvP because I tried to use my build in PvP but was not able to find anything close. Before, I used something as similar as possible in sPvP and was moderately successful in doing so. (High-silver, low-gold) And yes, I know there are more effective builds on sites like metabattle, but I prefer something I enjoy playing and that was scepter/dagger with Celestial stats mostly.
