There is articles and videos talking about it. It is referred to as ESO's Stickerbook. That system was created to give people tons to do and make dungeon running relevant again. That system did not require a new currency, vendor, mini game or collection for a particle effect. I just think GW2 could use systems like that to feel less grindy and keep people engaged. I love Guild Wars 2, will I love ESO?

It was making me giddy it was so funny. Some of us were jumping up and down in the mosh pit while others were trying to fix the amp, and it was chaos but good. Rock on, freaky bro! \m/

Since then, he's made a number of threads complaining about how grindy the game is, even though whatever 'not grindy' things he was praising before didn't change. And it's not just about IBS for him ... he's claiming since HOT, it's a ridiculous grind, so something isn't honest there. This thread feels that it's simply about pushing a sore point to incite people to complain about the game. We are going to make sure there is a BALANCED discussion around these kinds of threads. > > Sure, IBS has some MP's behind these weapon collections and other content people aren't necessarily interested it, but that's not a problem about grind. It's a problem about distribution of mastery points. The implication that GW2 is STILL just a 'side' MMO is just someone trying to take the kitten from Anet, which is absurd to begin with, like it wasn't a legit MMO to begin with. Obviously that's nonsensical. My gf told me I’m the “side man”, so maybe I’m projecting. ? On a serious note, I said HoT introduced hardcore content, such as raids. And **now** there is grind. The grind happened with The Icebrood Saga.

Has Anet really advertised GW2 as a side project and thus play it less oo? > > As far as I know Anet have never described GW2 as a 'side MMO' or marketed it that way. (It's a term I've only heard in the last few years so it might not have been around with the game was first released, although I could have just missed it.) It may not be an exact quote, but I was referring to people who said GW2 was not in direct competition with WoW but, rather, could be played alongside it. Then raids and flying mounts happened... I’d say it’s definitely competing with other MMOs for players’ playtime now.
  5. > @"ananda.5946" said: > None of the above. I’m not sure why people are clamouring to play tengu. They’re just a bird variation on the charr model. Most clothes and all that will look just as bad on tengu as they do on charr. And, isn’t charr the least played race? > > Now, choya on the other hand... Bring on The Pale Cactus. This. Even if charr didn’t exist in this game, Tengu look stupid.
  6. There’s stuff to do, it’s just gotten extremely grindy... starting with the Skyscale. I played gw2 to get _away_ from that grind.
  7. Everyone’s on Discord anyway. I’m sure they have that to share visual information with.
  8. Every MMO is just “press dps button”. Some require you to heal on top of it, but they’re still easy.

ESO, WoW (with tokens), Neverwinter, BDO, Tera...
  11. I don’t know. I’ve been playing since Beta, and I still don’t know what combos are.
  12. What hairstyles would you like to see? Other than buns on females, they’ve done pretty much all the popular ones already.

In the future, they may say it can happen, so you never know.

So, you never know... > > It appears they made some sort of technical breakthrough on backpieces which allowed new backpieces to be dyed. It appears the new method does not and may never apply to old backpieces. > > This is similar to changing races. There are necessary technical breakthroughs needed to overcome problems with race specific personal stories, race specific home instance (which have changes applied due to race specific stories) and characters buying racial armor for one race then switching to another race, as well as other interactions with the coding that players aren’t aware of that could break a players game. I’m sure they know of the interest in this feature but the problems are likely to be too interconnected to fix at this date, so many years after the game initial coding. So there could be technical breakthroughs, so don’t discount it yet.

So asking them about their opinion and experience right here is useless. > If OP was interested in an honest discussion about the topic, they'd maybe want to go to the other official forums, not the English version of all things... Actually, they do read these forums. Their posts are how I realized there are a lot of international players in this game.

Okay, so they have French, probably Spanish and all the other “popular” languages.... What about the rest of the international players?
