I also went back on that subreddit, well past the recent update that increased the drop rate, and it has been selling between 10-11K for months. About seven months ago it was selling for around 16K. So... Fake news? Checked more offers because that guy seemed a little *fishy*, but overally it still seems they were going in and out for 8.5k+ gold for quite some time before the patch.
