Predict the strongest performing class after the balance patch

I think ranger warr thief will prolly be strongest although rev could be there.

it wont be druid, maybe soulbeast since it was so dominant in the past in 1v1 with the most disengages

Warr always seems like they deal way too much dmg have too much CC and manage to have too much sustain though.

Guard, necro, S/D thief, and there could be classes/professions coming up by surprise too.

But no reason to be concerned, as the patch, previews and feedback proved that Cal Cohen and his team are worth to be trusted. I am confident that they will have an eye on everything and overperforming stuff will get balanced. It could be even possible that maybe there might eventually, but not sure, happen something, newer players dont even know anymore. Its something formerly known as Hotfix, but maybe I`ve gone too far now :p

Druid won't exist after these changes at least in SPVP necros may or may not exist depending on if the nerfs to damage is enough of every class to allow them to soak damage. If they get nerfed severely as some wish(Trevor boyer I'm looking at you) It is possible necro may just be in the same position as before as a punching bag.

I predict it might be slightly rough for mesmers since they got so many nerfs and they might not be viable atm.

Wish I can vote for more than one option but I voted Warrior because everyone knows Thief is gonna be super strong.

Why Warrior?

Though alot of their meta traits were nerfed, it won't change how Warrior functions.

I'm confident Warrior is gonna be able to still do Warrior things like before.

The main build which is gonna be less viable or no longer viable is Hammer builds because of all the CC damage nerfs.

But since Warrior still has alot of CC on a standard SB build, and the lesser Stability uptime across the board means their CC is gonna be extremely disruptive.

Kinda wanna see how new Rifle works out, it may actually make Berserker Rifle crazy for Teamfighting.

Don't sleep on core Engineer. It's going to have very nice sustain. It's adding 200 healing per second from the re-worked Explosives Grandmaster, which also comes with a 10% damage boost at higher HP.

For example, running Explosives/Alchemy/Inventions will allow you to get some defenses from each specialization, while having kit damage avoiding a 33-40% nerf like everything else We may even see avatar amulet, kit based builds, & Backpack Regenerator trait make a comeback.

Some builds that come to mind:

- Core Necromancer (Power/Condi) could be busted

- Guardian (Power GS and Power Symbols) and both its Specialisations (Symbolbrand, Meditrapper, Power Symbols DH) should be in a very (!) good spot

- Herald (Power/Condi) and Boonbeast should perform well

- Renegade (!) could be a sleeper and close to busted if the meta should really shift to a 'bunker meta'

- any non meme Thief build should be more than viable, not sure about DE tho

- Sustain heavy builds like Bunker Scrapper or Prot Holo should finally find their place in the meta which isn't too bad

Warrior still doing Warrior things i guess. Elementalist has massive potential to come out amogst the other top builds imo but let's see. Curious about condi variants of builds like core engi or core ranger/soulbeast.

Thief and mesmer...You can tweak damage, boons, cooldowns, and cc all you want. Mobility and stealth weren't really touched, and these two professions have the most valuable skills that weren't touched.

Not to mention...they STILL will be top burst damage and have the ability to disengage better than any others. They also have lots of build variety. They can do condis or power which makes them able to adapt to the new meta easily. Other professions will be totally locked out of meta builds (just like they are now) guaranteed.
