Are we getting some awesome buffs next?

It’s pretty exciting to imagine getting improvements to lesser quality weapons, heal skills, slot skills, elite skills, and traits! Maybe some amazing reworks to profession mechanics, support roles, stealth system, condi system! And I’m gonna stay really hopeful for some sweet-sweet buffs like those! Keeping my fingers crossed here!!!

They are for sure going to happen one or other skill m8 get a slightly nerf as well.

It's like trying to improve the stadium seating in a crowded theatre. ANET pulled the fire alarm and told everyone to leave, and now with an empty room, they can inspect the seats individually and see which ones sit too high (need nerfs) and which ones were built too low (need buffs). Pre-patch there were lots of skills/traits that under performed, mainly because many others over performed by comparison, but it is very possible in the current state ANET will find some of those skills / traits we never used, and decide they need to be buffed to meet their current vision for balance.

Unless the seat is Firebrand. If firebrand, the seat will be gently toned down, while given tradeoffs for the gentle nerfs.

And if it's Mirage, well, they only give you 1 leg to stand on.

Mesmer has its seat all torn up, smelling like farts and covered in stains.

We might see some "buffs" to some skills and traits, such as some of the ones made useless because they were passive carry trait/skills, such as some of the ones that got 300sec CDs, I would expect these to be replaced with different traits/skills. However, I would expect more nerfs before any of that happens, going back to a baseline, then waiting and tuning the outliers closer down to other builds and once that is somewhat stable, working on those skills and traits that were (essentially) removed, or never used to start with.

 

From reading the posts and watching some of the streams where it's been talked about, this is the general impression I have gotten of the plan....Now, if they stick to it, or should I say if anet allows them to keep on working on this and in this direction is something else, they have had a habit of starting something that sounds good, and cutting the legs out from under it.

Except the fire was real and a lot of people died because they refused to leave earlier when the smoke was already visible :-(

Signet of Fire? Stack might and instant apply Burn with no trajectory/warning. Usually works, they won't know what hit'em :sweat_smile:, won't cleanse it in time.

 

Burn condi deal tones of damage, in a short time too. Will wait and see if there's balancing for condi later, after power. Fine with most condi types; cept Burn atm. Eg. If possible, make it starts of low and ticks higher over time, more time to cleanse Burn when hit with multiple stacks.

It's been ridiculously buffed since it was introduced to the game.
