  1. The only characters Id honestly recommend deleting if you plan to delete them for what ever reason, are the following: Characters you have invested very little time in and is NOT older than 1 year. Characters you have not invested any real world money in for expansion of bags. Characters which have not unlocked much of the world map (if you havent already done it and working towards a legendary). Characters you create to do the level 1-20 human story for a key per week. Before you delete any character, just make sure everything of value is taken off that character and placed into your bank/sold. Do note exoitic weapons which were equiped will be soulbound to that character, so ultimately become worthless unless extracted.
  2. It does feel like that alot of the time, things will stay broken for months upon end if not years. Also do note the trend over the years of Condi buffs and Power nerfs as well. You'll also note a few classes that get next to no screen time when a dev is streaming or show casing. How many times have you seen a dev play an Ele, Mesmer or Warrior on stream (that isnt WvW blob combat (seriously do skills really matter there in that cluster)). Personally Id want to see a total rehaul of every class, updated animations, different skill effects, timings/abilities. This would spark so much life back into the game, make the combat fell fresh again and... balanced between the classes. We currently have a system of wack a mole. Dev nerf hammers one class but replaces it with another broken class/build. Clean slate, wipe it, start again make it new make it fresh. Look at some of the core weapons in the game, staff being a massive offender, on all classes this is the most boring clumbsy weapon in the game, but it could be so much more with the correct animations and skills that it causes. Instead we have lazy copy and paste animations along side skills that never kept up with the skill progression of new specs/weapons. I could list a load of other weapons that just feel janky and clumbsy to use but i think ive said enough to make my point here. The one thing I really want to see in 2021 is a massive overhaul balance patch, addressing all skills, all weapons, all animations, replacing what doesnt work in the game (like 90% of the physical skills) with something new that serves a purpose. This whole trickle down balance, does not work. Imagine waiting over 9 months for a balance patch to address some seriously broken builds but then get a patch which only changes 2 things unrelated to what is really needed.
  3. > @"Dawdler.8521" said: > How exactly do you crowdfund something someone doesnt want to do? Use the money to force them to do it? Also to add to your point, if someone doesnt want to make something or has no enthusiasm to do it. It will be crap as a result. Prime example of this, Balance patches, [Please insert image of El Risitas here]. Also, Crowd funding products to a company... Which is meant to be making items you want to buy in the first place will never go down well. Lets face it, if they arent making the most asked for items now, they will fail in times to come if that keeps up, Crowd funding will not change this, as you'll only get mis-spent money on projects that get canned which arent even related to what you asked for. Like who the hell asked for a mobile application related to Gw2?
  4. > @"Ragnar.4257" said: > > @"Smoosh.2718" said: > > So are we to assume you're talking about the trapper Burn DH build, since you said "teleport that you can not see coming" ? > > And if so, will you please link the teleport skill on that build that applies 9 stacks of burning instantly? Because I can tell you now there isn't one. If you've got 9 stacks from a DH, it means you've eaten all 4 hits from a SoJ and at least 12 other hits from symbols/autos/traps. That isn't instant is it..... that'll take several seconds to ramp up and if you eat it all you'd die against anything else in that scenario too. > > And even if you're not talking about that build, will you explain how "it can kill you fast if you've already used your defensive cooldowns fighting someone else" doesn't apply to, say, Rev/Ren, or Holo, or Thief or Reaper or Soulbeast or..... etc > > You're probably going to say that they need to hit you more than once. So again, I ask, please link the guardian skill that applies 9 stacks of burning instantly. I never once stated it was from one skill, there is a combo you can pull off in very quick succession which will blast condition damage out on someone who has no time to evade it. Torch usually is required for it. Can we seriously stop defending Condi damage like its the most fun balanced thing in the game? Its the most boring mechanic in the game thats filled with cheese and not the good kind either.. goats cheese. Over this last year we have seen a lot of power damage nerfs yet next to no nerfs on the way condition damage should be over time than Burst over seconds. Condi's in this game are like Fire and forget missiles. You can run away from a power damage dealer with 10 health and live, but you cant vs a condi player. It's like my preference to fight melee characters in all games over ranged, simple really, ranged classes are the ones most likely to abuse a mechanic, just as condi players do in gw2. You have more chance of convincing me that the moon isnt real and the earth is flat than saying condi damge is fine in this game. One thing to note, I did place a ~ symbol next to the damage number, this symbol means approximately, The last PvP match I had was a good 2 months ago now so I can not give you the exact number but I know it was around that. TLDR: Its not fun to play a meta where players can abuse cheep easy cheese to win. (yes in the long fight you will win, but getting jumped while you're already in combat for the 10th time by the same condi spammer just isnt fun.)
  5. I honestly love the 'just clense 4 head' gang that always posts on these types of posts. Ive had it before where someones teleported to me, stack 9 stacks of burning on me, which tick for ~5,000 damage. at that point you have 4 seconds to live, or 2 depending on what class you are. Now please, explain how you are meant to react and dodge a teleport that you can not see coming. Yes you can clense (but lets face it thats like telling homeless people to just buy a home.) What if your clense is a stunbreak, or you used it 2s ago while fighting someone else? At least with power damage, you need to be constantly making contact, you may also need setup weapons or skills.... And you can react to the skills, the bigger attacks usually have the bigger animations... which is not the case with a lot of condi attacks, Ive never been one for condi damage being in this game, especially when its not balanced correctly per class and against the power damage co.
  6. A big balance patch that really shakes the meta ( i mean total reworks of weapons, animations, skills and traits ) The removal of bots and cheaters ( I have no motivation to play PvP as a result of this ) And lastly Cantha to bring a lot of fun content and good armour skins to collect (seriously spam this expansion with armour skins) I probably wont be playing much of Gw2 in the mean time until one or the other happens first: Cantha or Big game change balance patch.
  7. > @"Danikat.8537" said: > It doesn't have a unique effect on melee hits, but the aura (yellow smoke effect) does follow your arm and surround you and your enemy when you're doing melee attacks, so it does still look different to using a normal weapon. > > Also like other people in this topic I like the weapon as it is. I made it specifically because it's so understated for a legendary, and because of the charr theme, which makes it ideal for my charr thief. but... it does though.
  8. For a second then I thought you were going to go off on a, 'The game needs more Asian food, Polish food and American food in it' Food in all games to me has always been an optional thing to use that you never want to use due to the faff of opening bags, finding the food, clicking it and then keeping an eye on the timer.
  9. It currently has a target glow on melee critical hit. The Gems could be a bit brighter personally, so people know its a legendary, their curent glow is too dim to be noticed sadly.
  10. The big issue here (well when there are more players active) when you join a meta group to find the map is full, so you join another and another till you become blocked from trying again for a while.

I'm stating that, with EoD around the corner, it's likely Warriors will get a staff and will be treated the same way as how Thieves got a staff for their Elite Spec... > > > > > > But the reason you gave for that is because the watchknights do it. They've been doing it since 2013, so by your logic it was 99.9% confirmed that warriors would get staff as a polearm in HoT and it didn't happen then, or in PoF. Why should it happen now? > > > > Not that I even care about warriors and what they get, I’m just assuming that’s what I’ve been hearing others talk about since what other weapon could they possibly get when they essentially have everything at this point lol... > > Single or dual pistol Dual pistols is the only thing i want for warrior from EoD. Do note that if a weapon is mainhand it must be offhand as well due to the classes 'flair' 'weaponmaster' Just means the class can use all mainhand weapons in their offhand, dont believe it? have a look at every mainhand weapon on warrior. Spear / staff would be so lackluster to see be the weapon.... So i really hope its not that, I honestly dont get why people fall in love with a stick with a sharp pointy bit.

  16. The worst ones is when you have your email address as your account name, this has happened to me before in a game. Had to stop playing it till the mods changed the name. But I have seen some accounts with CD keys as their account name, honest mistake of not reading the imput box's name and pasting the code in there.

Really not worth it. I have legendary weapons, armour and ascended rings (will not get the legendary due to the stupid effects they do) Unless we get something to craft that will use up these mats, that we can either tun in to NPC's for rewards/gold, Karma is useless when you're 80 and have gear.

  19. Seriously though... what the hell do you do with karma.. coming from someone who has played for a long time. Karma needs to be used on something you can buy constantly... that is useful.

  21. To be fair, this sums up this situation: I have also been hit by a warning by following said advice before as well.

Nothing about it was sexist, agenda's should never be in a game.

Also, the map server itself crashed for some different reason. To be clear, Mordremoth won this round. Map crashes are caused by a mining item, when used it can cause the map to crash and everyone gets logged back to character select. I do believe there is a minor role back as well when this happens.
  24. Its all fun and games till you realise that some players actualy get slapped with this: ![](https://i.imgur.com/RTc9hhQ.png "")
