  2. If its a small node not a rich one, you can bet they are cheating by teleporting around the map, if its a rich node then its a high chance of parked characters.

Anyway this is digressing, more armour skins big plus. More choices for the player to make, more options for players to really make it an RPG. I cant see a reason to say no to skins that are already in the game.

  8. Back in the core days, combo fields were the thing, this created a combo field fo everyone to use. Tiny bit of time passes and the combo fields become a wee bit useless due to the ways people gain boons now. Personally I'd like to see blast finishers gain more damage or cause an effect. Gaining boons for a blast just feels off in this game. Now on the skill itself, its still stuck in 2012, Zerkers version works due to being rather spammable and the simple fact that it does more damage and burning per use, so yes combustive shot does need an update to what it does.
  9. I know we have skills that do more damage the more of a stat we have... could it work the other way around? So retaliation is higher based on less Vitality and Toughness, meaning retaliation will hit harder from a squishy than a tank. This being said, it could be abused Vs Fast attackers causing death upon a quick 15x attack, but the flip side to this is that you do not have the defences a vitality and toughness stacker would. TLDR: Toughness and Vitality lower the damage of retaliation 50:50 split between the stats, so if you stack only vitality, its 50% of its max.

This system is too easy to fool. Use a macro, watch a movie, do other things and just keep tabs on your chat window for a GM message to pop in, while not touching the keys once. This is why a blanket ban system must be adopted, stamp out what could get worse... which is getting worse. Look at the rise in actual bots, look at the rise in cheaters.

Battle damage shows a sign of experience. A hero with no damage was either standing at the rear of the lines or a poser.

  15. I'll still stand by my belief that players who AFK farm set a bad image for the game. And some of them are 100% not legit players, Only takes 3 minutes to work out if someone is botting or not by the clockwork skills they are using, always in the same order. One way I found how to detect a macro user is this: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bouquet_of_Roses Throw that in to their hands before combat starts, and watch them still try to do their skills, they wont remove it from their hands. Slap them all with a temp ban then a longer ban if repeated then perma ban them out of the game if they do it for a 3rd time. Its a bad image, it sets the idea that its ok to cheat in gw2, it makes players also believe that Anet doesnt ban people and they do in some areas prevent honest players from completing a task quickly (ascalon STILL has that problem). I will guarantee that this thread will have an army of afk farmer defenders coming in. With the fact that there is a BIG rise in Bots / Cheaters, something needs to be done to deter people away from doing it.

  17. As an example, this armour is already in the game: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/f/f1/Wounded_Soldier.jpg A simple addition of the damaged pact armours would seem fitting to the game. Allowing players to pull off the looks fitting to the area and theme they want. This would give the world the Grit it needs, what was taken from LA can be given back in armour. The other part I hope for is less bulky armours (most of the gloves have about 2 inches of material around the wrists) It is so hard to find gloves that look good due to this bulkyness. This just reminds me of everyone wishing for Warrior Staff with the next elite spec... they have no idea how bad staff is on 60% of the classes, yet they expect its going to be the be all end all weapon that changes everything. Staff on all the classes to me is clunky, boring and ugly to use. Ele staff could be amazing, casting big skills for big damage, yet we have this clunky weapon that has 0 damage on some skills and little to no utility. 100% believe at least the ele staff should get reworked (the class with the least weapons that is)
  23. Difficulty should get harder in the later expansions. Why? If you played core > HoT > PoF you should know your classes, know what mobs do and know how to play pretty well to be able to fight tougher mobs later on in the game. When you play a single player game (heck lets use Deus Ex Mankind Divided here) the game builds you up for that final fight. It introduces the mechanics through out the game, could you beat that boss with little effort / skill on the normal difficulty? Probably not, you build up that skill and know how throughout the game. If a game has a really easy final level, what was the point? So, why should Gw2 try to get easier and easier as expansions come out? This is not how games work, the later the expansion the more experiences you should be when playing it. If you skipped story / parts of the game just to be there, that is your fault not the games. TLDR: Gw2 Needs harder open world content, players should have built up the experience and know how by the time they got to that point.

  25. What If Banners pulsed a boon? Defence - Retaliation Tactics - Regeneration (still sour about this one being removed) Disciplin - Fury Strength - Might Battle standard - Might, Fury, Swiftness and protection (But becomes a destroyable object when placed)
