Well, we have had devs state specifically that the AoE cap is a technical limitation of the game's engine and not a gameplay decision.. So for whatever reason the AoErng is more efficient than real AoE.

What I don't get is why add so much AoE when you know damn well it's gonna bork the servers... Can scourge _not_ AoE? Why make a class that highlights your games weak point?

What their opponents' buttons do is also quite impactful. Never fails, some doof comes along and pops full counter for his melee frens

    Apparently implies evidence of.

The word that applies to alliances is "supposedly"

There are outnumbered fights, It's the nature of open world pvp. I accept the situation as-is and I'd rather die than skip content because the odds of survival are negligible.

    > Do you whine when you get mowed over by a 50-man map blob... you shouldn't because it's ok (the whole area is a pvp zone).

    Nope.

    And it happens a lot.

    > If you were serious about fights, you'd PvP where the build options and arenas are constrained. You know... more balanced fights that might actually require skill to win.

I have a YouTube channel full of Hunt doing outnumbered fights up to a 1:5 ratio against.

    > WvW allows any cheese build you can come up with. If it makes your feel better, just pretend warclaw is another variation to deal with. I'm sorry it doesn't fit your play style... well actually no I'm not. The game doesn't need more toxic behavior.

Not sure how explaining the nature of open pvp is toxic? It's not a safe space, any attempt to make it safer detracts from the excitement inherent in a dangerous situation.

    > How did you find out which voter likes what game mode? You are a prophet?

    Memory?

We know you've been around a long time, and that you followed cloudfly for a big part of the game.

Suddenly, a lot of people who nobody knew show up in the WvW section all at the same time and disappear all at the same time ... ... Probably from another part of the game here for the event would be a fair assumption

    > >Anet folks didn't simply sit in a room and say "Hey...Know what would be cool...?" The Warclaw, like most changes, is in response to what a significant percentage of the population asked for. That's how businesses keep afloat...giving the customers what they want. So coming out here and saying "no one will use it" or "no one wants it" is basically the same thing as saying "I have no clue how a business is run."

    >

    > Actually the WVW community asked for many many things. I don't recall mounts being at the top.

    > When you said "Anet folks didn't simply sit in a room and say "Hey...Know what would be cool...?" "

    >

    > Well i agree with you. What they probably did was "Hey...you know how we could generate more gem store cash...?"

And also, "we're all setup to make mounts this expansion, let's make an extra for WvW"

Warclaw didn't appear as a game mode specific idea, it got a BOGO leftover from the pve mill

    > it's actually closer to 30 clicks if you've got the two builds completely memorized (assuming there even is a viable roam build for your class) twice just so you aren't at a major disadvantage when fighting a guy you don't want to fight

    Chest, weapon, amulet, legs

4 clicks to make a big change in your stats, maybe change one traitline and a few traits in the others... Which class can't do that? Not many if any. Even necro has some good duelling setups, if not a run-away

There is no ganking in WvW, the whole area is a pvp zone. Expecting to effortlessly travel in such an area with no risk is the absurdity.

Now that I think of it, game companies really did away with diversity, didn't they?

Now a shooter is unique because it has a leveling system or a new gun. That's diversity lol

It's like 1982 all over again, flooded market with a million rehashes obscuring original works and ideas

Stargate.. Huh I know that game as Defender, definitely an oversight on my part

I don't recall a tune in Joust.. Just a 8-bit squawk from the buzzard who lost it's rider. Computers were very limited by storage back in the early 80's moreso than processor speed, which hasn't changed all that much single-core wise. So there wasn't much extra bling.

But I could definitely see say, the minstrel finisher's sound fitting right in xD
