  1. The majority of titles are free/cheap. If 1000g is a concern to you then you aren't really living up to the title anyway.
  2. That is going to lean more towards gathering than killing. Killing stuff depends too much on RNG.
  3. 9 levels in 5 or 6 hours does seem slow, when I was doing the lv60 key run it was closer to around 10 levels per hour but that is on an old account with some exp boosts that aren't really available to a new account. ANet's own expectations are around 1 level per hour from before launch. So you are leveling at what the devs would consider normal.
  4. That seems like trying to solve a problem that mostly comes about as a result of trying to use characters as bank slots. Which might come about because using character as bank slot is much more cost effective and the character slot limit is much higher than bank slot limit.

It actually does do that. At least for HoT maps. . I have seen it happen many times in VB to my dismay since switching instances was nice for getting more freshwater pearls. However there is also a bug that causes the server to think an instance has a low population despite being far from the truth. I've see the message pop up several times while fighting the ley line anomaly at reset

We can leverage existing easier content that doesnt require max AR to test in exotic gear (t1-2 fractals, explorable dungeons, full CM DRMs) and get a proper idea. > Making AR account bound brings with it some issues that would likely cause some real pain to those players regularly playing t4's. If people can accept reality then this thread wouldn't exist. The ability to do what OP wants already exist in game. It requires a certain amount of effort to achieve. The options are pretty simple. 1) do it 2) don't do it 3) complain about the amount of effort 3) shouldn't even be an option but here we are
  7. Except for high level fractals all the experimenting can be done with exotics and the only reason high level fractals can't be done is because of AR. Making AR an account bound thing would solve that problem as well. If this is for fractals you don't really need to craft that much anyway. For the most part you'll be crafting just the coat and leggings since the rest of the pieces drop relatively frequently from fractals. As for upgrades ... there is https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Endless_Upgrade_Extractor_Contract . It is pricey but that is around the same price at a set of legendary runes and this would cover sigils as well.
  8. There are over 900 HPs available but you only need 250 per elite spec so that leaves plenty of wiggle room. The main issue is that a big chunk of those is from the core maps so you need to get them one at a time instead of 10. Some of the HoT HPs are a bit more challenging but most do not require more than 2 or 3. Doing them with an HP train can give an extremely misleading impression of some of them because of the scaling.
  9. O_o They are barely managing to support GW2. Where do you think they will get the spare resources to support GW1?
  10. Many of the vendors or vendor like things with daily purchase limist will not reset properly if you are playing when reset occurs. Going to character select and logging back in should fix it.

As I recall for my Rev I did the Dragonsblood sword, then stat changed the staff. The exotic insignia/inscriptions require serpentite jewels. That just brings OP back to square one.

Not better, just closer to what is expected. With small quantities your result might be better or worse than the expected result.

  14. uh ... 25 keys cost 2100 gems plush griffon skin is 1600 gems you could have spent less and gotten what you want, why did you go and take the risk?
  15. > @"Danikat.8537" said: > I think running the level 10 story once a week and doing map completion are the best ways to get free keys. But I'm not sure how that compares in terms of the time required per key vs. farming gold and buying them. For JUST the lv10 key it would be hard to beat with gold farming. A key cost between 31g-46g depending on how many you are buying at a time. The run takes around 30m so the gold farming g/h would have to be 62g/h-92g/h. I don't think you can get that anywhere right now. For going all the way to lv60 that is 15g/h-23g/h if you have level your character to 60(as opposed to using ToKs) since for me it is around 6h(most of the time is taken up by leveling at around 10 level per hour). It will also include a karma booster and item booster so that could increase the potential value depending on how much you care about those.

That system is for insignia and inscriptions that can't be crafted. > @"weaponwh.9810" said: > since tunderpeak meta is mostly dead, is there any easy way to get Exquisite Serpentite Jewel for crafting ascended divine weapon/armor? Depends on what you consider easy ... the alternatives are to get some sort of stat selectable gear. You can get those from strikes, raids, fractals, PvP and WvW.
  17. o_O Unless it changed with the recent patch. Double clicking and applying was the only way that ever worked for me. For 2h, 1h and off hand weapons.
  18. > @"phokus.8934" said: > I like how everyone says changes to a change isn’t a big change like they have insight into GW2. and DirectStorage seems to be part of DX12 so getting that without DX12 would be as easy as asking for rain that is not wet RTX IO also requires a RTX 30 series card. According to the Steam survey https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey that is about 0.22% ... If the devs really have nothing better to do then simply improving the Mac version would benefit a larger portion of players. > In the grand scheme of GW2 performance, map loading is the last thing they have to worry about. especially when it is for people who are already using nvme ssds. Saving maybe 9 seconds every 10-15 minutes(for people jumping between meta events/world bosses, fractals, PvP matches). Maybe it'll be a bit more beneficial to people who die very frequently in PvP but load time isn't the real problem there either.
  19. As mentioned already the game already allows people the choice of setting their in game clock to show UTC+0. If it is for messages there is a much better approach. They could make something that functions like the chat link codes. For example you could type in "doing guild missions at [&t 11:33pm]" and the message will automatically show up with the correct local time for whoever is reading the message. Clicking/hovering over it could show a countdown for the specified time.
  20. > @"DeanBB.4268" said: > Often the best farming choice is "make gold buy what you need." It is but the best way to make gold is often "get some more work IRL and buy the gold" but even without going with best, simply gathering other easier to find materials and selling those to buy the orichalcum is probably still better.
  21. Glyphs are useful but alchemy and crucible are terrible choices. They require paying more attention to what you are gathering since it is not always desirable to convert.
  22. Haven't done any this year yet but in previous years you can occasionally get into a situation where the game thinks every note you play is wrong. Leaving the stage and getting back on would fix it.

Sorting through the contents is less annoying when you are standing next to a bank and merchant.
