    > Thanks for the post, the 2 that are in locations under certain conditions are actually the ones i'm trying to get atm, i can't seem to get them due to the fact that no one is doing the areas.

Its possible to solo the events to clear out the chakks at Teku. Try asking for help after the meta. Having a few to help with the first two, hatching and escorting the larvae would be a great help! The later on events are very much solo able at ease.

  2. Once boons are settled, the next step is usually to fill it in with other roles eg. dps classes that can fully optimize it (classes that can deals good damage). The more available spots open; the better. Hence meta players tend to squeeze boons duty into few, to have more spots open.

Its possible for to spread it out, each to fill a boon/role and the set up's efficiency is always open for debate. Pros and cons.

  3. Nothing much to say about the content since its not out yet. But from what I heard, it will be a 10man content and easy to complete. Imo it might help raids access by building a 10man community in game (if players can gather 10man for S.M, nothing is stopping the group to go for raids). But if the content is "easy", there is the possibility it can be low manned(farming/efficiency purpose).

  4. This fight just shows how unpolished underwater combat is right now. Things might have worked back in core but things just evolved over time and now can only hope something can be done for it to catch up.

Eg. Firebrand aegis or skills procs stuff upon use, players have more weapons on land to work on to synergize with their traits. The current underwater weapons are severely lacking and limiting options. But to be fair, there are no Elite Professions back then and how the traits and builds will be played/discovered by players.

Related in some way is how the underwater weapons work (the damage). Eg. For a power build; Reaper's underwater spear(power) is underwhelming and trident(condi) as alternative for power is worse. Dragonhunter/ Firebrand's underwater weapons as DPS class is not performing either. Power warrior are "functioning" but there are no options for condi. And the list goes on, with no options or severely limited for all class professions.

*I know there are players hype asking for Underwater Cantha, imo the game is not ready for it yet.*

As for Fractals, the change for Aquatic Ruins is still new, players need time to learn and relearn new stuff. Not sure how some instabilities will play out either, will Adrenaline Rush/ Frailty make Jellyfish Boss's devour skill a sure kill move :) etc.

    > Been trying to get the new jellyfish with 4 seperate teams... we can not get past the 2nd phase. The fish does not follow into the electricity. What is the mechanic now?

    For **Deep Water (dark path)?**

Move as a group and continuously pickup luminous plants as you go to refresh the duration. Move along the right wall to avoid jellyfish patrols (getting hit will remove the "light"/luminious plant you're currently holding). Dodging forward does propels you faster and might be **forced** to do so to reach the final safe spot; batch of luminious plant before the Champion Krait.

    **Champion Krait.**

Contrary to many believe, luminous plants doesn't play any role in this fight (the zone around the champion is free from piranha). Stacking in 1 spot will just get your party obliterated by an aoe field (the animation is hardly noticeable, invisible at times/due to camera angle ). Move away asap if you notice high damage/condi stacking up(confusion). Condi cleanse and CC helps.

    **Jellyfish.**

Never tried moving it therefore could be wrong here, but felt this boss is now stationary. But you want **to be in melee range** in order for it to devour one of your party members. For the devoured player, will need a considerable reaction speed to press the correct buttons (5 times in T4?) to be freed which. This will apply "weakness" debuff to the Boss making it vulnerable to damage. Failure will be rewarded with death (NO downstate) :anguished:. CC is useless for this fight.

    > Maybe that big content reveal on the 30th will be the dismount ability mentioned so long ago.

If its only that, then its just another letdown. But with the current state of WvW, its not an easy fix to bring it back to life. Even with the long shot; reverting the changes/additions, damage is done.

*Will probably need to overhaul entire WvW with everything taken into account (mount etc) to make it work again but even then, no gurantees and opening another can of worms.*

  7. Mist Lord? Classic weapon skins designs. The design isn't bad actually, some I find it beautiful infact . In normal circumstance the weapon is appealing. If compared with a glowing weapon, the glowing one usually stands out but mostly because of its glow(captures attention), not the design.

Skins such as Mist Lord easily goes unnoticed passing by another player or beside us(characters, especially on Asurans ).

  8. The fractal requires some polishing after the change eg. reduce the glitter of the final Luminous Plant near the Krait Champion for Deep Water path. Got unlucky with the champion krait as it swam next to it; the entire fight was blinding . ̶O̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶e̶,̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶p̶o̶s̶s̶i̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶o̶b̶t̶a̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶a̶c̶h̶i̶e̶v̶e̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶O̶p̶e̶n̶ ̶G̶r̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶(̶k̶i̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶o̶n̶s̶t̶e̶r̶s̶)̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶c̶h̶a̶n̶g̶e̶?̶ ̶W̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶K̶r̶a̶i̶t̶s̶,̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶J̶e̶l̶l̶y̶f̶i̶s̶h̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶r̶e̶s̶p̶a̶w̶n̶s̶.̶

The Boss fight is still fairly easy(was T3 recs) but significantly longer. Underwater skills need to be tweaked. With some skills inaccessible eg. Class & "land" weapon's skills, it limits the distribution of boons and certain class traits from functioning.

    Expected.

    Q.E.D.

  10. Asking such poll in its forum....

Even with that point aside. The result will be far from truth since the voters need to be spend a fair amount of time (and not based on past experiences) for both game for comparison.

    > As a complete noob, what class should i go in on? I have necro ranger engi mes. What one will help me the best.

My very first victory was with my core engi. Came up with a brain dead strategy; to run Bomb Kit while running laps in the arena with Liadri trailing behind. Trick is to maintain a certain distance for the bombs to trigger. Don't bother using turrets, the aoe will destory them.

    >> I have no trouble doing Liadri on normal. I even did it with a gambit. But the Blazing Light Achievement is now the last one missing for me from the entire Queen's Gauntlet category and I haven't found the courage to attempt it.

    >>

    >> Thief seems to be ridiculously cheasy when it comes to ANY fight in this arena (especially Turrai), but the one thing I have trouble with is health when fighting Liadri.

    >> In the first phase i take way too much dmg from her projectiles. Is there a trick to it? Or a build with better selfsustain?

Got that achievement using mesmer. Had the same problem with survival at first, randomly tossed in toughness and vit(mostly celestial) helped. First 3 light orb to make her vulnerable, brought her HP down to 30%, focus on getting another 5 more light orbs down before finishing off the fight. Took around 18 attempts (with 2 attempts she died to clones/condi ticks and 3 attempts I miscalculated and defeated her after using 7 orb :anguished:)

Felt she's extremely vulnerable to condi dmg, but could be my mashed up stats . Don't panic when the Ringmaster callout "This contestant doesn't have much time left." It's a LIE! or take it as one .

    >> I’ve had mixed experiences, totaling out to a negative feeling surrounding trying to get into raids. But I want legendary armor with uniquely legendary skins so badly that every few months I try again (pls anet generalized PvE armor set. Or fractals). I’ve had nice groups that have nothing to say to me and we just do the boss, usually successful after a few tries (I’ve killed 13 bosses in all this time). And I’ve had fun on release days failing at first encounters. I find release days are most of my best experiences because it’s easier to find the nice people who aren’t judging or instantly kicking me. But I’ve had many bad times where I get instantly kicked - sometimes they refuse to even give a reason and sometimes they say I’m not good enough. Which would be fine if I sucked and had joined an experienced quick run, but since I’m not incredibly experienced I don’t do that. They’re kicking me out of casual runs for not being a veteran. How do I learn if nobody gives me a chance, I feel? And then there’s the groups where I don’t get kicked right away but somebody is nonstop telling me to get better and telling me exactly what to do - for reference, when I join a raid, I’ve already equipped the optimal build and know the mechanics of the boss I’m fighting. It’s about time I try again. I’ll probably find nice people and get a kill or two, then have a few hours of rude people, then get turned away for a few months

Join a discord "training" guild (practically a LFG platform) or ask those 'nice' people you raided with if they are recruiting/schedule for raids or have you to fill the spot if they need people (win-win for both sides).

    > Congrats! I, on the other hand, can't even get three stacks of the light-mechanic on her without dying. I don't touch red aoes (or the shadow clones). She just murders my face. :(

Using food "Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew" helps (replenishes endurance to dodge those aoe). The aoe pattern is fixed. Her shadow's spawn position is fixed but varies depending on which ring you're in. The fight can be memorized by observing or continuous repeats.

Just keep calm and don't panic (eg. time limit, there's plenty). Just watch out for the black orb's pull.
