Who came up with the Herald and Renegade?

Who came up with these two elite specs?Wonder who the mastermind behind these two. Also what gave you the ideas for these two?

I believe herald was already a part of the core class that is why core rev lacks so much. For renegade, you might wanna use a crystal ball or something like that because anet does not answer :)

Being to differ on the first statement, core heavily relies on upkeep mechanics that "nobody" ever uses at all if even right.

 

There's a "lot" that you can do with core that elites can't.

Herald: Legit game designers/developers that probably found better companies to work for by now.

Renegade: The remaining QA engineers that were promoted to replace those designers/developers that left.

I'm pretty sure Roy Cronacher designed Herald at the time he designed Revenant. But after HoT he moved onto mounts and then eventually left ANet. I don't believe he was involved with Renegade but he was with ANet during its inception and release.

Does it matter? Rev had a horrible desing from the start, it was not usable at all till Glint was added. They were even forced to add wep swap when he wasnt meant to have one. Cool idea, poor execution

i actually like the changes to herald. Issue is most of game wont need what rev has to offer due how basic the game is.... and easier carry mechanics are made metas.

 

Renegade spirit utilities should support more and last a bit longer imo, at least the wards duration could be tied to % of boon duration???

To do what? To link that dev's name every time you want to salt? Not that it is your style but it sure is plenty of others. I don't know the devs very well but I see the name irenio.
