Might wish my luck and put in a refund request cos i wanted to use it to represent different classes (Green/purple for a fae ranger soulbeast etc) Its worth a try. They really need to put a note on the back pieces that you can purchase in the gem store. If they can be dyed or not.
  2. I am not sure when this item was released but there is a hard line when back items became dyeable. Things before a certain date will not have the ability to dye even though their gliders can be. They have no plans to address this. If anything needs to be looked at is making the Legendary Back pieces Dyeable before normal items get an update.
  3. For me DRM's are just not fun. Even if they added better rewards I probably would skip them as I have already.

All of those were “left on the back burner” too. Yes it can and it is true. Just the other day in these forums people were asking for updates to the story content. Never going to happen. DRM is just paint on an old car trying to sell it as something new. I guess some people are happy with it. I just find it unacceptable. They tried these smaller update cycle windows back in Season one and it didn't work there. That is why they went away from it. It did not give them enough time to put out anything worth mentioning and it put stress on their development team. I guess we should get used to these sub par content releases while the new expansion is in Development. Anet has always struggled with multi tasking. They are very well known for pulling people from what they are working on to work on the bigger better thing.

  6. Dungeons, Fractals, Raids, Strikes and coming soon Dragon Response Missions to be forgot about in future updates.....

The only thing that would change is the ability to choose them. Just because things are currently in game does not necessarily mean that it is being processed optimally. If a effects tab was added to the Hero's Panel then people would have access to any account bound infusions, foot falls, auras, ect... Right now people are limited to what they can use because every "special effect" is tied to a item like a weapon or infusion. So there is less of it. If we gave everyone access to everything they unlocked everyone will be running around like a lit up Christmas tree on the 4th of July. This could cause performance issues for not only them but the people around them depending on the computer and load on the server.
  8. I have posted similar requests in other topics. Is it possible? Yeah its possible. Is it worth their time? Is the better question to be asked. I personally would say yes. Customization always is a boon to any game. When done correctly there are huge profits to be made. One of my concerns is if they did decide to go all in and really give us some crazy effects to equip then they better have a way to tone it down for people that don't to stare at these effects if they don't want to. My second concern would be how the game engine handles all of this because right now people have reported having performance issues when they just have the [Vermillion Wings](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vermilion_Wings_Backpack) on their character.
  9. 2020 made 2 full sets of legendary armor and have the main components for my third. Crafted a legendary backpack, both trinkets, both rings, and amulet. 2021 goals... want to be able to use those items from the armory in wvw with my new alliance. I know goals are meant to be achievable. Mine may be set a little to high.

You can literally say that about anything that takes up your time. Without reason makes the post irrelevant or incomplete. Definitely not helpful to a person that is looking for reasons to play a game or not since they are looking for motive.

  12. Bring back support of Guild Wars 2 please! All jokes aside I don't see this happening.
  13. Why are bots so prevalent in pvp matches? The rewards. Why is the pvp lobbies so anemic? Lack of updates & balance The reward system is nice. But rewards per day could be limited. Nothing that a normal player would notice but would effect a person who is botting pvp all day. One could argue that you would encounter less bots if there were more people playing the game mode. Balance updates, new maps, and new game modes would go a long way. Game modes would help a ton and have them available all the time. Just a few ideas that could spice things up would be a Capture Point Push Game Mode, Payload Push Game Mode, VIP Game Mode, and King of the Hill Game Mode. Also while match making is nice in all why not have the ability to bypass it and jump straight into a game? Some games make all their money from pvp. Granted they are not mmo's but maybe the mmo's are doing it wrong...
  14. What I used to do is go to a map where I had unfinished HP's then spoke out in map chat. "I am about to do some of the hero points on this map anyone wanna join?" Most times I would get 2 or 3 which is more than enough to complete most of them. There are a few that you will need a bit more help or have players around that are playing at a high skill level. If you have a apple tag or regular tag even better. You can announce in map chat when you are about to start an encounter. Most times people close by will just tag along for the kill.
  15. Very easy to remember my first day. I originally came to WvW to get the warclaw on its first day of being released. Originally came just to grab that now, here I am almost level 4k .... I couldn't find my way back out! Best memory would have to be a 5 hour fight trying to take green garrison on lord the entire time. When we eventually got it I was so exhausted that I had to go lay down. The ebb and flow of that fight was amazing. I downed twice but never died. I was playing a scourge and had the top boon strips for the fight. I wish fights were like that every time I played....
  16. @"Lily.1935" I agree with most everything you said. Player retention due to lack of updating instanced content and competitive modes will greatly cause the population to dwindle. The new player / new character experienced does need to be looked at. I am not sure if limiting all mount mobility is part of that answer however. What I see is that people create new characters then rush them to end game content. While the instant 80's are awesome in all but it really handicaps the player using it unless they are familiar with the class/specialization they made. Most people have no clue what most of the skills are outsides of the ones used in the Meta build for their game mode. In short people don't know their class. Then they try to get into a group of veterans who know more about their class than they do and end up getting kicked because they under perform. Most players perceive this as toxic behavior. But truly its not. But what it does do is make the players start to get a bad impression of the game and little by little starts to chip at them and then they stop playing because the game is "toxic" or simply don't want to put up with the people. Is it the people who is kicking the peoples fault, no. Is it the person who is under prepared for the contents fault, no. Who's fault is it. It is the new player / new character system's fault for not properly preparing you. I believe there needs to be a system in place the "teaches" you the basics of your class, traits, utilities and specializations. The Silverwastes just does not cut it. I would wager most people don't spend a ton of time there before they move on. Not to mention the experience scrolls and tomes of knowledge people have saved up. All of this just lets you jump right to end game content. Most people, myself included, thought I could just make a new class and be good at it because "I know the game". I was wrong and in most cases people are not good straight away but they sure want to fake it until they make it. Yes eventually you do learn but it can be a tough process. Especially if you are trying to do T4 Fractals or Raids. Do I have an answer for the best solution to solving this? Not at all but I do think allowing people to jump straight into end game content with little or no experience is bad and it effects player retention because players leave when they don't "feel" accepted.
  17. Its been a journey Open World > Dungeons > Story / living world >Fractals > WvW > Raids > PvP So far I think it has been the people that lead me into those areas that I enjoy the most. When I first started I wanted nothing to do with anything related to Fractals, WvW, Raids, or PvP. But the people I met along the way pushed me along. Long term goals. The things that has driven me that is game inspired. I recently just completed all of my long term goals. Up till now they are what kept me pushing on. So now I am searching what to do next. End Game is a unique monster you can make it as hard or as easy as you would like. But everyone will hit their saturation point and need something different. Thankfully for you, that is a long ways away. For now I play for the experiences I share with my friends and the laughs along the way.
  18. In my opinion is that everything is extremely predictable. Very few twists to the story line that keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more. As for jaw dropping moments there have not been many. I play the content just to get it behind me. I get the mastery back to max and move on. For me lately is how the personal story / living world requires other people. Map meta or Instanced content you are always reliant on others. I personally go to the story when I want to have some alone time in the game. But recently its been opposite of what I would like to see. Ever since the release of Icebrood Saga I have found it hard to play this content. To much grind. There is an absence of content called creating zone specific weapons that anet seems to believe people want to do? Sure some people like this stuff but I would wager that most people don't bother with crafting all of them. The illusion of free will. Take Drizzlewood Coast for example. I feel like a cat reacting to a laser pointer. Go here no no no Go here no Go here. I believe anet is so focused on trying to create a new feel that it forgets what it has done well in the past. Maybe we could have better quality of updates if they were not trying to recreate the wheel all the time.
  19. Snowcrows is all about min maxing. Ascended is about 5% better overall in the power and healing aspects. Since boon duration stops at 100% it does not really help you in that area. Generally if you are running with food constantly you can swap out some pieces for magi or something else if you wanted and still keep your boon duration maxed out. Edit: I typically run with [bowl of Fruit Salad with Mint Garnish](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Fruit_Salad_with_Mint_Garnish)
  20. I would prefer something more account bound. I have both [Nightfury ](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Nightfury_Skin) and [Winters Presence](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Winter%27s_Presence_Skin) and having them lock up the shoulder item is pretty weak when they basically are just a aura. I don't really agree with having it a infusion because it would limit its effect to who ever has it equipped. At least right now you can use it on all of your characters. I think its time for a new tab in the hero panel "Effects" that stores your unlocked auras, infusion skin colors, and foot falls. A system that will let you choose what you want to display and hide. Allowing for more customization without having to swap things around. They would of course have to have a way to account bind infusions to be able to add it to your wardrobe so there wouldn't be people just trading infusions to get unlocks. People currently like to stack these type of items for increased effects. I don't think people would be to happy if a system like I just described didn't have that feature along with setting which effects load first to last.
  21. I've made 20 legendary items since the announcement. I've done all this work and we can even get a few key presses to let us know what is going on... Bad form...
  22. This just one of the many reasons why outfits are bad.
