    > In which case the answer is yes, you can do that, but Anet won't help you if you get scammed. If they take your coins and then block you and log out you can't contact Support to get them back. So if you're considering this you need to make sure it's someone you trust.

Correct, but they WILL go after the other party. Scamming someone, while not recoverable, still can result in suspensions or bans.

So, IF you get scammed, save the logs and contact support. YOU won't get help, but the scammer might get punished.

By "above", do you mean on a previous page? I don't see a sticky on this page.

  3. For vendors who sell things that go into the wallet or bank, add an indicator of the number of such items we already own.

For example, vendors who sell Trader's Keys, in addition to the karma and Trade Contracts shown, would show how many Trader's Keys are already in the Wallet.

Optionally, the vendor could indicate how many are currently in inventory as well, although this would not be nearly as helpful.

  4. VanWilder:

There's a good summary on the wiki: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Infusion, and you can branch off from there.

My problem is more grind-related, because I've already done a lot of the fractal content (I already have Ad Infinitum, for example). I WILL go back and do some more, but they take a long time to build up to. I made this thread because I want to know about ways other than fractals for obtaining attribute +5 infusions.

By the way, you can buy +4 vanilla infusions from laurel vendors. The extra +1 may not be worth it, especially if one has been avoiding fractals.

  5. I worked my way through all of the storyline missions in the core game. While some of it was grindy, most of it was rather eye-opening. It amazes me how the different story paths are interconnected, and also connected to the recurring events in the zones. I think the designers have really done a great job with it, but not many players spend the time to see it all.

Unfortunately, in order to complete ALL of the missions, you either have to partner with people doing some of them, or else create 30 characters. But, there's no reward for it other than patting yourself on the back for completing them.

There's a light version that can be done with only 15 characters: simply do only one of the paired missions whenever mission choices appear. You'll need 3 characters to go all the way through to Arah (basically, one for each of the orders). At Tier 4, you'll need 5 characters to hit all of the side-races (Skritt, Quaggan, etc.)

Finally, you'll need 15 for the tier 1 & 2 missions (one for each race, times three for the optional paths at startup.)

  6. I've been through all the older fractals, etc., but only on one character. I really don't feel like farming fractals endlessly, but I would like to get +5 infusions for my other characters with ascended armor.

I've read the wiki articles, and the implication is that you can only acquire them in fractals.

So, are fractals the only way to get infusions with +5 in one of the attributes?

  7. Well, I'm going to just trust that they'll get if fixed, and that all the loose ends will be tied up. As long as they don't limit how many nodes can be farmed daily, the ship should right itself fairly quickly after the fix. (Even if each node can only be farmed once a day, that's still 10 a day that can be looted.)

I've been planting a level 80 at each chest (6 of them so far). So, I should be ready to gobble up loot as soon as they make it ready. (I'm picking my level 80s based on not having the target zone mapped yet, so I have something to do beside just check the chest and kill a krait or two.)

  8. I think it needs to be fixed, but not necessarily by adding to the number allowed. Guild, party and squad chat should never be blocked. They can be policed by the people in them. Well, maybe party chat needs a little help. But, parties needs a lot of work anyhow. Starting with there always being a leader. Or, at least create a party-like grouping that has a leader.

"Say" chat should have a significantly higher limit.

"Map" chat is fine as is. But, there should be more ways to ban people than just being reported. Anytime someone (in map chat) uses "USD" or "US$" in a post, they should be flagged by the game for observation. There are probably other words to look for as well.

You're assuming that people will only want to grab chests for the achievements, but the swim-speed infusions have value as well.

  10. I can't find how to craft a Wupwup (celestial, ascended) amulet. I scoured the Wiki with no luck. This page: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Equipment_acquisition_by_stats implies (about 2/3 of the way down) that the recipe can be had from a master jeweler, but he doesn't have any ascended recipes (which makes sense, since Jeweler only goes to 400).

So, can you actually craft an ascended amulet? Celestial/Wupwup, that is.

    > Players are not right that "you can only open one chest per day". Anyone who got a random key drop in addition to the daily key will be able to attest to that, if you don't believe me when I tell you that I have opened more than one chest in a single day.

Yeah, that's what I said. Actually, what I said was it depends on what the bugs actually are. I THINK that what people have attributed to time-gating is part of the set of bugs. However, I could be wrong; if I'm wrong, then there is time-gating, and it needs to be removed.

In fact, on the Wiki's talk page for the chests, I pointed out that I opened the same chest twice less than two minutes apart.

I don't think we really know what are the particulars of the chests, because we can't tell what might be bugs from what might be features. Yet.

    >

    > @"Gaile Gray.6029": This. If you leave it time-gated instead of resetting daily, a lot of people will have more keys than they can ever use. Please forward this request to the devs, I am sure everyone on here agrees.

It's worse than that. Drops of keys that occur in the open world can never be used, either.

I'm hoping that what many think is time-gating is actually just another manifestation of the bug(s).

It depends a lot on what the bugs actually are. But, the time-gating is that one can only open a chest once per rotation (10 days). I hope that what we thought was time-gating simply turns out to be part of the bug.

But, if players are right that you can only open one chest per day (i.e. 10 per 10-day rotation), then not only is it time-gating, but it also means we cannot ever make up for having extra keys.

Only if they remove the time-gating as part of the fix.

I think the one I want is Disable Action Camera. The toggle one definitely causes the problem, but I also get it by sweeping with the right mouse button (i.e. every time I move with a large swing). It has killed me three times in WvW. I'm hoping the Disable option prevents it from ever turning on again.
