  4. 2012 meta can not come back. You'd need to undo a condition rework, and 2 major trait system reworks.... and delete thousands of hours of experience from the brains of veteran players. PvP was dumb fun back in the day, everyone was learning.

The thing is, burning guardian is perfectly fine on all other builds. I don't see the need to nerf anything beside the removal/rework of trapper runes. The build is full glass, and if you take away the stealth/superspeed, it actually goes down pretty easily. I think any build that sacrifices all sustain should have this much offense. I would like to see how you engage in stealth, then drop a Dragons Maw combo and run out of combat with superspeed on any other guardian build. It detargets you, it gives you superspeed, if you placed the correct trap your enemies are now crippled etc... the combo is so powerful you can get by with 0 stunbreaks. The amount of people who think "you're a REDACTED main" is an argument is still disturbingly high. I comment on balance issues because I play all 9 classes, all meta and fotm builds(yes I practise even on builds I hate). Also this is a special case for me, because a nerf/buff is not my objective here. If class identity is still a thing in this MMO, then guardians don't get to wield stealth.

I can guarantee you I'll get more dmg out of fgs in a 16s duration (time to cast all 4 swords) than the burning from sword. It entirely depends on its usage btw. If the enemy team has multiple hitboxes in a small area(rezzing a downed, minions etc), SoJ procs the traited burning many many more times, all of which are AoE, so it can actually oneshot a group, with you having 2 other charges left to cleave the downed bodies. It's obviously way weaker against moving single targets. If your point is FGS has more damage potential+utility in a duel than a single cast of SoJ, you're right... but I don't think thats the point Paradoxoglanis was making.

Nobody cares about class themes, those went out the window long ago with elite specs that are supposed to change how a class plays. Because the weapon is single target is fine also to get access to stealth as a defensive utility when it is fighting a group. Literally nothing you're saying makes sense. Stealth as a defensive utility works on sidenodes, or offpoint chases, where the enemy actually has to avoid traps. In the chaos of a teamfight your traps are usually instantly set off. Burn DH does not teamfight, it pokes at teamfights, combos with Dragons Maw, but never sticks around. That's not a playstyle guardian should have access to, period.

I never hear any complaints about rangers using it, just DH using it. Dragonhunter is actually quite weak without trapper runes. The burn build especially is a jokebuild with no stunbreaks, which is not even close to viable without the detargets/superspeed from Trapper Runes. So reworking/removing the rune would totally solve the problam, maybe DH would even need some buffs to compensate. Also if trapper ranger is totally fine (I find it also lame, but stealth is part of rangers kit so whatever), we could implement this radical idea of limiting which amulets and runes a class/eliespec has access to.

Why would you ever need this? Denying yourself the knowledge who you're fighting is not an advantage. If the enemy has a godlike and an average X, how do you tell which one is charging at you? How do you know what to expect? All that info is in their name. Which you turned off... why would anyone ever want this handicap?

All the aura rework has taught me to do was look at the buff bar even more. And squint, because their icons are only SLIGHTLY more helpful. Whoever had the genius idea to make all auras represented with a blue icon deserves a loving and tolerant talking to.
