  1. Legendarys are also just overpriced weapons-collection in my eyes.

There is regularly better in cash shop for much less golds. > Sorry, but where is gw2 effi a good benchmark for anything? Most of my friends list have never visited this site. I don't mean to say that the site is bad, quite the opposite. But a site that is run by fans is in my eyes not a decisive point for anything.

  5. Gw2 is actually the only MMO I've played so far that doesn't have a tutorial-popups at the beginning. Only these few lvl-up texts. And I'm personally quite happy about it, because I'm someone who always clicks away the whole stuff because it always overwhelms me at the beginning anyway and I prefer to teach myself things via the Internet, or ask people. But I can also understand if people would like that. For me personally GW2 is a super simple game. The build system and everything is super easy to understand. The synergy of meta-builds and all that, that was never a problem for me. For me personally. But I can absolutely understand if others have problems with it. However, I now believe that these people who have problems BUT want to learn are outnumbered and are very well able to use Google or just ask here in the forum (even if you get here in the forum not always the nicest answers ala look in the wiki, but that's another story). Because all the people who wildly spam their skills or do not dodge do that (in my opinion) with pure intent, or because they just do not care. For example, these are two points that you can change super easy by reading through the skills times and on the dodging you will be pointed out at the beginning not only by this dodge circle in each starter area. You also get pop-ups above the stamina bar in the beginning. Crowd control could be explored more in HOT, as it is an incredibly important tool that is hardly discussed in the game itself. But other than that, I can't think of much that you can't figure out for yourself with actual reading and trial and error if you need to. To the rest, just the thing with the guild, I personally do not quite understand what you expect from Anet. As I wrote above, too much information can also be very quickly overwhelming, even deterring. I personally like that there are no channels for advertising. Sure you see guild ads here and there in GW2, but the majority are here in the forums where you can read through everything at your leisure and write to the one that appeals to you the most, instead of just writing to everyone in guild chat until you find the right one for you. And the forum is listed on the website where you buy the game. **Of course, this is just my opinion and my experience that everyone can see differently. Because I am someone who has played many other MMO's before GW2 and generally many other games. So I know the basics so to speak and before I started GW2 I informed myself about the game anyway, like I do with every game I have to pay for. These are of course prerequisites that not everyone has and I think in a forum are people who do not have this prerequisite and therefore have a different opinion, very outnumbered. Therefore, I would not be against adapting things as long as they are, as you say, not great and disturbing.**
  6. I still can't understand why people really buy this with gold or even worse gems. But the crowd has probably spoken. Ask me all the time how long it takes until Anet monetarizes the DPS meter.
  7. For me personally, it was never a side MMO. I've always found it grindy since I started with just before HOT. At that point I had a lot of time and could play as much as I wanted, and I grinded everything I could. Now that I've started over and have less time I realize it's still the case for me(in my case) GW2 is and never was(to HOT) a SIde MMO unless you wanted to save years for one thing and donate thousands of dollars. I know people who play the game very little and accordingly have very little and actually only play around in the open world to find some relaxation. For these people, GW2 is of course perfect because there are no costs besides the purchase. But if you want more, you have to play the game actively (which is nothing bad). Where does the statement GW2 would be a side MMO come from? Have honestly never heard of it. Has Anet really advertised GW2 as a side project and thus play it less oo?
  8. To say that you don't need XY is equivalent to saying just don't play the game in my eyes. These days even more, because new content to 90% consists only of this grind. For the Skyscale there was at least a bit of brains behind the whole grind so it was somewhat enjoyable for the story lovers. But otherwise ... meh.
  9. But Legys are also super expensive. I don't understand the comparison. And how do you know that people do not make these collections? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of them either. But I personally would like more diversity. And legys are not on my list of things I want to see as end-game content. I would like to see more fractals that are built like before and new raidwings that ... are built like before. New dungeons and strike missions. Up-to-date content that you can play with others. I personally don't want to grind the thousand thing and run the same events or stuff a thousand times , but play the game.
  10. I started the game to play in groups, but then quickly switched to doing everything alone because group work in gw2 makes no sense or even complicates some things. Except raids and fractals. Although I myself have done t4 fractals as a challenge alone successfully. I enjoy e.g. fractals with friends but with randoms it is not so pleasant nowadays. I have even made the experience that many treat the game as a single player. Therefore, I usually do not even notice when someone runs by and at big events I have the person display on lowest settings.
  11. I won't lie, gw2 is very close to a single player MMO if not exactly that. I know many people, myself included, who play it just for that reason. You don't have to rely on others, other players are often just NPC'like . If you have just a little bit of game experience, you can do just about everything in GW2 on your own. Most of the SP-games I play are harder than GW2. So maybe gw2 is just not the right MMO for you? Or you should try to approach it differently. Because I have also played the game together with my boyfriend and it was fun ... for a while. But i wouldn't find it bad if EXP and Loot is shared as in many other MMO's as long as you are in a party.

We are here in the gw2-forum. Have you read some threads here? Do you see a pattern? :"D I am totally with you guys. But as long as people buy clothing set that anet cost less time, but bring more money there will be no change no matter what is right or wrong.

I just wanted to know if there are other ways to get trans-charts in PVE, which I did not know yet. Since I then only got the usual p-a answers, I gave my usual p-a answer. I'm sorry I asked a question and didn't write directly what I think about the topic and whose side I'm on and didn't make a p-a comment to the te to show that I'm not on his side to show everyone that I just asked a simple question.

In fact, I’d love to be able to sell the 3000+ ones I have! > Making trans-charges tradable would be a dream. Know a bunch of people who have so many because they hardly use them while someone like me, if the opportunity exists 100 per week is nothing ... I would also be someone who would actually buy more Gem-store skins if I could change them like I like. But buying something to use something already purchased? Or play modies that I find annoying for something exential in fashion-wars? Nah~, thanks no. And because I know that people would go back to it. I don't care how wvw or pvpler get their stuff. Because of me they can get everything you get in pve in their modies. I hate these exhausting comparisons like taking a lollipop away from a child ...

But how do I play PVE mode and farm as many transmutation charges as I would if I farmed WVW afk? There are only a limited number of maps you can explore per character. Or is this another, boo you must play all game modes otherwise you are not worthy. Sure, I like to AFK farm wvw. It's anyway so sparsely populated that I no longer take away anyone's place :). Of course it's a pity for the few who still take WVW seriously, if they have a bunch of people who only do the most necessary and 80% of the time just stand around. But in the forum you get to hear again and again, play wvw x).
  17. How can you farm transmutation charges in PVE in the same mass like PVP or WVW without spending gems or gold?

Artsariiv usually takes 1.40-2min in cm so like 1.30 normal. should be reasonable. Arkk lasts 1.40-2.20 which is also ok. Can be done within 8min quite casually in cm. Its the rp in normal mode that steals time. > > > @"Fuchslein.8639" said: > > I would like to have video proof please how you run fractals every day in 20 or even 15min, with random, casuals groups(no groups that have XY prerequisites). > I mentioned meta groups for the 15-20min runs. 40 should be doable. > > I play meta btw, but don't want to tell anyone what to play. Only power weaver got nerfed but i doubt that offmeta pugs played that. the forced rp is indeed annoying as heck but one of the worst offenders got even speed up. molten furnace was probably the longest. back then a chrono could carry all the buffs and cc. thats not possible anymore. Dps increased a lot since then thanks to diviner and buffs to warrior and all other classes. > > Two years ago this was still possible for me, because 90% of the fractals were very short and you didn't have to listen to most of the babble. > > Meanwhile, the fractals are so drawn out and so overlaid with 'mechanics' that the "Dailys", for me personally no longer makes sense. > > > Which fractals are too long? Only deepstone, sirens reef and sunqua are a bit longer. sunqua is the end of a tier and should be harder than the rest. the only problem is that sunqua can be daily and rec at the same time. "Do people actually like the new fractals?" All the new fractals. With Twilight or Observatory it started that the devs specialized more and more in long fractals with heaps of mechanics and blinbling. Then old fractals were reworked like Mai Trin, Swampland or Molten Duo as an example. As I said, I used to do the Frak dailies+req PLUS Nithgmare CM often in 30-40min with randoms, without special group requirements. Nowadays it looks different for me personally. Which is why I have lost the desire to fractals. Because as I said, it either takes a super long time, or, more likely, people simply skip many fractals and call it a day. And I don't have the time to hang on to a Frak-static anymore, because my playtimes are very different.

There are countless easy to play builds which allow for fast clears. Reaper, no kit holo and firebrand are very simple. casual is used way too often as an excuse for not having to read skills or traits. T4 is basically pve endgame. T4 shouldnt even be completeable by random builds. > a meta team can clear t4 + recs in 15min without cms. 20 with longer fracs and less optimized strats. 40 should be very doable for casuals which use decent builds. I would like to have video proof please how you run fractals every day in 20 or even 15min, with random, casuals groups(no groups that have XY prerequisites). I play meta btw, but don't want to tell anyone what to play. I never did that and never had problems with it until my new start a few months ago. I often ran CM's 2 years ago with people who didn't run meta and weren't that good, but we still managed to do everything in a time that made "daily's" sense. Two years ago this was still possible for me, because 90% of the fractals were very short and you didn't have to listen to most of the babble. Meanwhile, the fractals are so drawn out and so overlaid with 'mechanics' that the "Dailys", for me personally no longer makes sense. Of course, this is all just my experience. If you have other experiences that's fine for you, but doesn't make mine obsolete.

  23. I have had the same experience. Needed a few bounties for collections to get simple ascended weapons, play on EU and a bounty, a djinn caused me big problems. People always came, but we could never kill him, because all People always died instant xx. In the end I gave up and will do it soon with some friends, without any LFG or Mentor-tagging. This is true for just about every(non gemstore) armor set released up to and including those that shipped with PoF. When a new map released we were also given an associated reward track in competitive to earn the skins. > This changed in Season 4. Players in WvW are not able to earn things like the Runic or Requiem or MistShard sets. Since Grothmar, the reward track for the current content has offered nothing but a small map currency stipend at the end of the track. No access to things like the Stormcaller, or Tengu weapons, no access to the armor skins. > > While the OP going full Karen about a an hour of PvE to unlock a reward track is pretty ridiculous, there is an actual problem here that goes to the core of the "play how you want" mantra of the original developer vision for this game. > Ignoring this and telling the player to eff off and play something else because they favor a different game mode than you is not helpful, constructive, or inclusive. So the threads that I read about it again and again show me rather the opposite. People are stepping exactly the same on said PVE players as here in this thread on this wvw-player.(Currently, people here generally like to trample on others.) The thing is that PVE is played more and there are probably more people who do not like WVW and therefore want other access to some only-wvw things. I would for example defend any thread where someone demands a second way to get the GOB. While I personally don't care about WVW, since I don't like WVW, but I wouldn't care if WVW also has ways to get their stuff without having to play PVE.
  25. As much as I like to complain, balancing is not an easy thing. Especially because everyone wants something different (which is not to say that the balancing in GW2 is good). And most importantly, no matter how something is balanced, there will always be meta-builds. Better be happy about tools like ArcDPS. When I started with HOT, meta wasn't a build, it was a class ^^''. Later fractal meta was 4 necros+1druid. From then on we went a long way and I think Meta includes a lot of classes now. And as was said many times here in the forum, you can simply join groups that do not request such things and if people then want to bit***ing ignore or block them simply. That way you hit them the most.
