The Ele staff is Heavy Long Range AoE weapon, but it requires positioning or support, that is why it works in WvW inside groups but it is bad in spvp, since some classes have multiple instant teleports and can single out the ele even if it has good position and the ele has to go in full defensive so it stops its pressure. Also Staff ele is teamfight build and it contest a niche that necro fills way better. I'm not sure how can they make staff good for conquest without breaking ele in WvW and even getting some unexpected builds for spvp that become good for every spot ala holo. For example necro is fine as right now, cause of its main mechanic that requires resource, life force is gained by hitting multiple people and if necro is forced in 1v1 it goes into a survival timer since it can't fill its bar, so it can't sit in prolonged side node fights. Ele on another hand relies on just cooldowns, so ele doesn't get 'tired' and it will be equally strong in all positions.

Tangled depths is the best map in the game, it has everything, it has the story, it has the exploration with allot of hidden stuff to discover, it has a really good meta event, it has the story building events, and it has long term rewards that are grindable, and has nice enough gold per hour. Almost forgot the map makes you feel lost and confused like you are in fucking jungle , the map feels like it is distinct, its own place.

Strange they didn't continue with that, since most of it would be just retexturing of old armors which would be fine as rewards for this living world season since they are phoning it in anyway till the expansion comes.

The issue with Thief for one is that it can't die after the February patch since cc don't work on it and landing a cc on a thief is hard by default, so you have to explode it with damage, but anything that can do that is easily killed by thief so no dice here. The other issue is that there is nothing that comes close to the role of thief as a really mobile roamer, the closest is mesmer with portal and that gets slaughtered by thief. So the main issue in thief is the unmatched mobility so if the enemy team has thief you need a thief and hope your thief is better then their thief or everyone gets heavy specks to bunker since you class can't do shit about thief decapping except stand on a point like a big rock and take a beating from a thief till it gets bored and leaves. Holo or even scrapper on other hand are too good in everything, so it is contesting teamfighters, roamers and sidenoders so the rest of the classes have to sack offensive pressure or defense to match them on one of them, but they have both good sustain and damage so why would you pick the other classes.
  14. Well DRMs ARE side stories but with voice acting, too bad that the quality of them are worse then the actual side stories for some reason, just compare them to Mist Rifts, Awaikened invasions and Bandit events.

Lately though Arenanet has been focusing on the cinematic part of the content but not so much on the fun part and the same Grind that we have always had starts veering its head, cause we are not having fun while doing it.

I kinda feel confused that they dropped everything when there will be the most butts in front of PCs, and I don't think there will be another opportunity like this for free mulla, I get that they are making the expansion but come on man, they are missing out on allot. The Steam release was a good call but they pulled out, probably because of WoW and Cyberpunk, and if they wait to release it after the expansion instead after the hype dies for both games would be a big mistake, since getting your game on the front page of Steam during a pandemic is printing money. Also they don't have Game director, no one is steering the ship, it is kinda amazing what they are pulling off now but it will soon start to unravel.

Like how ranger gets shield block on GS and it is fine but the fix for shite weapons with bad mechanics on warrior is giving it more damage, like it doesn't hit ever f f s. Why would anyone pick off hand sword over shield or torch, mace would have been actually useful if it did kinda the same as ranger GS even with 1 second block and if hit you get to do an attack that, you can aim. If you look at spealbreaker it looks like it was slapped together last minute allot of the skills are reused, fucking FC is Protector's Strike with particle effects added( has the same bug to boot). Like there is different people working on every class and they don't speak with each other at all, some are reserved, some seem lazy, some are stuck in the past and some are like give this one a nuclear warhead to blow everything.

Somewhere I wrote about a Spear/Fist set with 8 skill and 1 to switch between them, so the fists are 130 range and the other is also 'melee' but with bigger range something like 450 or 600, so you know you use it like polearms are used, to poke someone from distance. I still don't get why two handed weapons don't have more reach then one handed in the game.

Well it worked the same way decap engi worked but it was also a healer, so it could fuck up team fights and sidenodes, imagine if they didnt nerf it before and it stayed hidden till now, at least 3 to 4 months of perma cc, then again CMC can't touch functionality so a year of it maybe.

Pistols have to be next coming of god to be used and that would get them nerfed, so pistol warrior will be dead on arrival. A long range melee weapon on other hand would fit better and support specks tend to find their spots way easier then lets say yet another dps speck.
