  1. All Especs trade something off. But some just gain so much benefit the tradeoffs don't matter. Herald and Renegade are examples of this: They lose an active which gives Energy and a buff, but they gain so much more if yu include the new Legends they can slot as well as the weapon loadouts they can field.
  2. Pistol. Dual would be nice, MH at least. At least Pistol MH/Shield combo would be an excellent pair for Rifle and Warrior can finally play full ranged.
  3. I hate every single one of these. Thief - We already have Daredevil as a brawler type Espec, but yu want to force Thief into a further brawler style Espec. It's gonna end up similar to Revenant, being an extremely mobile assassin while having great durability in the form of evades and blocks. Warrior - Going to be fun in any game mode which supports a mount, and utterly trash in any gamemode that doesn't (Fractals, Raids, Strikes and PvP) Guardian - Monk concept is cool, but yu really want to give Guardian even more overloaded Tome style skills? Also what on earth is with that Monkey Paw Physical utility? Steal 6 boons? What? I mean sure, Guardian does have a severe lack of boon control, but dropping a 6 boon rip is straight out of nowhere. Revenant - Yuck another Condi heavy ranged attacker. Engineer - WE DON'T WANT AI DEPENDENT MECHANICS ANYMORE. AI SUCKS. MY GOD THE ENTIRE REASON GYROS GOT TURNED INTO WELLS WAS BECAUSE THEY WERE EXACTLY LIKE YUR PROPOSED GOLEMS. BAD AI BAD PATHING. Elementalist - while a Conjure focused spec is cool, can we talk about what on earth is with the Meditations? EVERYONE GETS STABILITY EVERYONE GETS HEALING EVERYONE GETS BURNT EVERYONE GETS KNOCKEDBACK EVERYONE GETS BOON CONVERSION (but wait, there's more because this skill recharges itself it it hits multiple allies) Mesmer - Basically a steroided version of core Mesmer. Oh also, they can corrupt now. Ranger - The rifle mechanics make no sense. Yu want them to have ammo, yu want them to have cooldowns. Also, the entire thing seems to slow. Honestly wish people would stop trying to come up with Sniper archetypes for Gw2. Game is too fast for Snipers to be balanced, and if a Sniper behaves like a Sniper should and does big shots, they are too op and receive nerfs. BUT WAIT, THIS CLASS ISN'T A SNIPER, BECAUSE IT'S CONDI WAHAHAHAHAHAHA Just give Ranger a Scepter and call it a Blowgun thanks. Necromancer - Ah yes, I totally wanna play as King Leoric in Gw2. Also every single one of these are overloaded as heck.
  4. > @"aspirine.6852" said: > You mean that wants to fight a core necro, wich is none.. And you cant force people to fight you with your slow kitten build as I can outwalk you backwards :P When yu start going around flipping their camps, a couple of roamers will definitely try to fight. Or they leave yu alone and yu just flip all their camps, win win.
  5. Charge just before engaging. Use Power Spike (the charges) as skill weaves. If yu play FF14 or WoW yu might understand what I'm talking about. Use both Charges, then recharge when all yur other skills of the current weapon set are on cooldown, or when yu are running to kite an enemy. I personally played Mantra of Pain with GS Sword Torch and will generally burst with Mantra of Pain and Power Spike with GS combos, then recharge it when I swap to Sword Torch. The magic of Mantra of Pain/Power Spike is that it's essentially a damage utility on average 10 second refresh period. As a damage utility, the more it's used the more value it brings. If not, just slot something else.
  6. Dodge or Evade over the area to pop all the traps. Yu can also do this the moment yu Shadowstep. Stuff like Dragon's Maw and Ranger's Knockdown trap are not instant upon triggering, so yu do have a tiny window to evade over it after Shadowstepping.
  7. If PvE, Berserker full is the best damage. In competitive, the amount of damage yu can deal is also based on how well yu can survive, so people tend to run Marauder to get a little bit of vitality.

  9. Run core Necro MM. Kill everything which isn't another sustain build. Oh don't forget to pop Lich Form when yu have forced yur opponent's cooldowns and watch them whisper "wtf Lich Form balanced 3k damage autos nerf please"
  10. 1. Diviners has 30% of its stat in Concentration. 2. Power damage got nerfed across all Professions by 33% 3. Shackling Wave has been nerfed several times prior to Power damage nerf. 4. Opponent may have DR or toughness. Yu have to change some gear to Berserker to ever hope to hit anyone hard these days. Even the occasional 7k damage is rare unless yu hit someone who is running full glass. My average hits with autos are 1.5k crit, Sword 2 is 3k, Sword 3 is 1.5k per tick, Sword 4 is 2.1k and Sword 5 is 5k. I'm running full Zerker.
  11. I strongly believe they should just rebalance the skill instead of reverting. Make it a 600 range with 4 cost.
  12. The problem with the writing team is their desperation with trying to introduce new characters while trying to kill off the old guard. And they subsequently ignore the new characters people actually care about. And just when Braham was starting to be an actually interesting staple, they turned him into a confused teenager which is starting to go back into angst mode again. - Where is Canach? - Is Zojja still afk? - Majory and Kasmeer barely have any screentime. What happened to Ryland's Steel warband after giving them so much character in Forging Steel? Did they just all go "yeaaaa we now frozen Charr now heheheh" > @"Touchme.1097" said: > I think I have seen enough characters behaving like rebellious teenagers. Obedience and discipline are more noble and positive qualities. Before learning how to lead someone has to learn how to obey. Ryland doesn't even care for his parents, what a joke of an NPC, totally despicable. Could argue that Charr was never born with care for their parents, rather they have more loyalty to their warband which is both their family and their solider in arms. The joke part about Ryland is that he was built up to be ambitious, but does nothing with his ambition, even when following Bangar. He could have killed Bangar anytime, and decide to continue with the Jormag plan while keeping Almorra as a bargaining chip with the Commander, but he helped Bangar kill Almorra despite having all the pieces laid out infront of him. Now where does all his ambition and potential bring him? Ending up as a slave to Jormag, pretending he agrees with them.
  13. I like Signets with their passive/active effect style. Are all Signets equal tho? Definitely not. Some Signets are just straight up better due to how each Profession's Signet traits make them so. Phantasm/Illusion/Shatter. Oh boi. They need to make the clones and phantasms just not be killable already. Mesmer suffers so much having their skill essentially go on cooldown for no effect because the illusion or Phantasm performing it dies I don't like Exceed. Exceed rewards the player for just doing Elite spec things. Oh yu use forge and have bonus heat? congratz yu get even stronger utilities out of it. Might as well have the skills already do the upgraded version off the bat, because it's a matter of just going into forge and pressing 3 buttons in order to get enough Heat to perform the stronger variant of the skill.

Enjoy the whispers from people who think you are hacking after you do it. Since this thread is about Rush anyway, do yu think Rush is OP being able to do this?
  15. > @"Shao.7236" said: > @"Yasai.3549" People actually retarget with Rush, so nah. It's seeking property is never really lost. Good point. I totally missed that Rush can be retargeted mid run in order to change directions to the other target. Still, I was making a point to someone who was trying to argue that Rush is somehow stronger than 2 other skills which function differently in addition to that ridiculous arguement that they can only be used as Gapclosers. And somehow Rush's running is stronger than the other 2 skill's direct displacement of their character model during a leap. Which is strange too, because Swoop is also similar to Rush where it runs 600 Range and leaps 400 range (with evade baked in) with a total of 1000 range covered.

Crazy. I know. > > > > ???? > > Not sure if it was me that sounded too literal at first, or you're taking them too literally. Anyway, gonna steer clear before things start getting unhealthy. No no no. **Come back here and explain exactly what yu meant.** Yu trying to argue that Leap of Faith only gets their secondary effects of Heal and Blind only if they hit? And that they can only be used as gapclosers? Leap of Faith does indeed only trigger the heal and blind if it hits, this much is true. What about the part where they can ONLY BE USED AS GAPCLOSERS? Wanna explain that? Wanna show us a video where Leap of Faith and Swoop cease to cover distance if not using it to gap close on the target? Does it not occur to yu that Rush ALSO has to hit in order to deal damage? Please do enlighten all of us, we don't understand what yu meant. Words are hard.

Both Swoop and Leap of Faith can only be used as a gap closer, you can't really expect them to hit, unless you use them point-blank, whereas Rush actually run a long way and deal damage to your foe. Are yu actually serious? So yu mean Rush doesn't actually have to hit to deal damage? And since when can Swoop and Leap of Faith only be used as gap closers? Am I blind when I see Rangers and Guardians with greatswords using these skills to cover ground and as mobility tools? OH HAHAH WOW. By yur logic : Leap of Faith and Swoop needs to be target only, because it can be used even without a target despite being a Gapcloser (according to yu) Also an additional tidbit : if Rush is cast without a target locked on, it loses its "seeking" property and doesn't even do the Damage swing at the end. Crazy. I know.
  18. > @"CutesySylveon.8290" said: > Both are leap finishers, one heals and blinds while the other has evade frames. If you seriously believe Rush is unfair compared to these, I don't know what to tell you. Not to mention Rush is locked into a channel for the entire length of the Rush + Hit. This means Warriors have to either cancel it into a cooldown if they want to stop the Rush or let it run its course for it to either hit or get dodged. Rush apparently op.
  19. > @"Raffrey.5271" said: > Is it just me? I think it is unfair because look, ranger and guardian GS leap couldn't hit their target, even when they stand still. And warrior GS rush can run AND hit. Considering they can still be movement impaired during the entire 1200 range swag run toward yur target and has no evade frames plus they are skill locked for the entire run or will have to cancel the run itself, I don't think it's that huge of an issue. Maybe for clarity's sake, they should speed up the run, but make the skill run +seek within 1200 as the tooltip says.
  20. If yu swap them around again, it causes people to have to relearn building muscle memory on it again. The in - out - in style of Ranger sword has remained mostly the same, even after the changes. My opinion that having Hornet's on its own is functionally better because yu can double out of a fight by using Hornet followed by Monarch, and it's important that yu lead with Hornet's evasive back roll before leaping away with Monarch so as not to get interrupted mid-leap with Monarch leap first followed by Hornet roll. (Therefore I'm in the Hornet first > Monarch Leap and Serpent on 3 camp) But again, all that doesn't matter so much to me. What does tick me off is that the hit registration for Ranger Sword skills, ALL THE SKILLS INCLUDING AUTO ATTACKS, are god awful and "floaty" I mean it takes **Float like a Butterfly Sting like a Bee** way too literally and it's flying all over the place and barely registers in actual combat where both characters move around alot.
  21. Just play Condi D/D Daredevil and evade non stop.
  22. They intentionally neutered Defense traitline for competitive but didn't get to fixing it yet. Use Strength or Tactics. Tactics is now a very popular replacement for Defense because traited Warhorn does give Warrior a good boost of Boons they otherwise would never dream of getting uptime on as well as Barrier, which is a pleasant addition to their arsenal. Using x/Warhorn though, loses yu Shield.
  23. All I see are people not respecting Burn DH. Fight any half decent comp with a Scrapper and grats, yu just gave their entire group free Aegis. Also what do yu mean don't tap keeps? If I want people to come fight me, I tap keeps. It's a hornet's nest which I bonk for fun. Come stop me or yu don't get to waypoint.
