  1. Yep. I dont know why I expected anything else. ![](https://i.imgur.com/wKXV5kL.jpg "") It's never going to get fixed, is it?
  2. > @"Fire Attunement.9835" said: > Good morning all, we've tracked down the vanishing walls issue and are working on getting a fix implemented and to you as soon as we can. Fantastic! Will this fix the T3 DBL garri wall corner (NW and NE) that's been invisible for 5+ years too? Just wondering.
  3. Dont worry after Anet see this the next legendary dagger will be an actual letter opener.
  4. Cant you just... try it? Or rather dump it into an infusion slot and forget about it. The +10 swim infusion is 25 silver to buy from the tp. +30 is about 25000 gold to make according the wiki so unless you are **absolutely fucking insane and need to be committed to an asylum rather than be allowed to play GW2** that isnt worth it because a rank 50 core ranger with no food in exotic gear will probably pewpew you to death from the beach anyway.
  5. IMO there is is nothing to support that. Quite the contrary, Koda is clearly designated as a he and a bear. I think the text more refer to a "father" (since a bear was the first to question him). Koda is basicly the original Kodan man-bear-thing. Now, whether that bear kittened a spider and made dragons I'll leave to your imagination.
  6. This argument is all good and well, but then you shoot lasers with your greatsword and and toss infinite hammers.
  7. The event only exist on EB nowadays. I call fake news.

What are they then for each class (assuming max potential damage traited)? Engineer has more multipliers?

  10. Yep looks exactly the same as other classes can do against glass. Just the other day a warrior hit me with decapitate for almost 10k damage... and that's on full trailblazer.
  11. Leopard is the only practical skill since it can replace "useless" elites that dont fit your build. Skills that doesnt replace an elite are not viable (such as technobabble). Few, if any builds have room for it and even if they do there is usually something vastly superior for the class itself.
  12. What are you playing today (assuming not a condi rev)? Because it will probably be described as literally the most braindead build in all of WvW by people who fight it.
  13. > @"Akethon.5108" said: > The VR market is already big, this year alone there's 3 MMORPG being launched. Ubisoft is developing Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed for VR. And there's many more. Not sure how splinter cell and ass creed are relevant as they arent even close to MMOs... Also 1.7% of steam users have a VR headset. Of those only a small fraction has last generation headsets, most are old crap because very little has happened the last couple of years (HP Reverb G2 bringing much, much better lenses+resolution and Occulus Quest 2 using a more modern SoC are pretty much it). So no. The market isnt already big. Its tiny. Tiny enough to really only make tiny games viable. SC and AC in VR? Probably the eqvivalent of mobile games compared to their big brothers. Wouldnt surprise me the slightest if AC VR in particular will have a world like walking dead, slices of a city you do some parkour in. We're just not there yet.

Seriously. Before patch it wasn't a huge issue in WvW, post-patch it seems like grenades can 3-hit through a modest amount of toughness which is ridiculous. > > > > Mortar damage seems fine and if they're playing extremely defensively/running away constantly then just don't bother, they're too scared to duel. > > Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember when I read those patch notes on release - they ONLY nerfed the grenades in sPvP. In game, I have still been getting 1 shotted by the toolbelt skill. I've had many fights where I'll be outplaying the opponent, have them low on health while I'm still at 90%~ and while in melee I get just 1 shotted from near max health. I check the log and it was just grenades critting for 3k~ per. Well you can see the skill splits on the wiki... The barrage damage isnt that spectacular compared to other high hitting skill. Sure it hits 6x if you stack in melee but in comparison the damage on a single arc divider is about 2.5x the damage of a single grenade, with 50% more power gain that hits in a radius around the warrior 2-4x wider . As per usual the engineer has damage, its just far less practical than other classes.
  15. Between the two a fully mastered skyscale is a mount you use 99% of the time and the other 1% is a griffon on that very specific route from point A to point B on a very specific boss meta on a very specific map where you *could* use the skyscale, you'll just arrive a little later.

Well then, lets check. *Cracks knuckles* _"Game isnt based around 1v1, together with a thief for example they can oneshot things easily. Hundred blades is too strong and even though heartseeker is worse, it isnt skill rewarding as this game should be. Nerf the blades and look over other things that reward using more abilities, that reward weapon swapping. Warriors is in a OP place now because of 100 blades, you can hardly find any premade tournament team without at least one or two of them."_ The oldest post found when searching for "oneshot", 2012-09-14 ... and that's just the beginning... Well after some thought I might as well add this, even though its long. The first post found for "one-shot", 2012-09-12. _"Well after a decent amount of experience with the game across a few professions, I’ve decided to post my thoughts about the game PvP wise and make suggestions as to what I think needs tweaking. First off, I am Rank 23 with around 200 Tournament games played. The games played are mostly on Thief and Elementalist as I enjoy playing high mobile roamer builds. Anyways, lets begin!_ _Stealth-_ _One of the biggest glaring flaws for me at the moment is the Stealth mechanic. Its not so much that I dislike Stealth, but in the current form, enemies seem to “linger” in Stealth longer than what seems intended. What I mean by this, is that when an enemy breaks stealth by attacking you, on their screen they come out instantly, but on your screen your taking damage from someone that isn’t visible yet. its a huge issue at the moment allowing people to basically do absurd things because of it._ _In my opinion, they need to remove the “fade in” unstealthing and just make it where the instant they come out of stealth you can see them. I also think Stealth is too readily accessible for Thieves. Maybe slightly increase the debuff after using a stealth skill._ _Retaliation-_ _Another mechanic that in my eyes right now is broken. I feel like the Boon is supposed to make the enemy player make tough decisions about whether to attack you or not. Either they choose to wait the Boon out or they choose to take the punishment for attacking you. Well right now it seems to just be a Boon without much thought behind it. Because Guardians, Engineers, and Mesmer can have almost have 100% uptime with it which is absurd._ _Retaliation right now is WAY too strong for a boon that is kept up 100% of the time. Either reduce the damage it does, reduce the uptime of it, or change it where its a hard hitting boon but doesn’t last long forcing enemy players to pay attention and make decisions whether its a good idea to attack you or not._ _Quickness-_ _All I have to say about this mechanic is it needs to just be completely removed in my opinion. Not every profession has access to it, and the ones that do seem to all run it. It makes the TTK (time to kill) way too quick and is why you see Thieves, Warriors, and Rangers running around burning someone in seconds. Being able to kill someone in 2 seconds does not take skill or playing smart to do. And yes there is dodge, but if your engaged with someone and a Thief comes and Haste+Heartseeker you to death before you can blink or a Warrior 100 Blades Frenzy you while your stuck in even the shortest CC, your dead. Dying like that is not enjoyable for anyone and honestly I don’t know why people run those builds because I definitely don’t find enjoyment in one-shotting someone using a (imo) broken mechanic._ _Heartseeker-_ _Need I say more? I played a Thief and even I agree this is the most broken skill in the game. It only costs 3 Initiative, has great mobility so it can be used as a gap closer, and hits like a TRUCK. I find it discouraging that a 3 Initiative skill on a Thief can hit as hard if not harder than a full burst rotation on a Elementalist. Unfortunately ANet really shot themselves in the foot when they made one profession have Initiative which allows them to spam skills. With skills like this their will always be gimmick builds that take no more skill as to hit 2 a couple times. They need to remove the gap closer and severely reduce the damage._ _Phantasms- Damage needs to be toned down slightly."_ **It's sounding awfully familiar.**

Getting to crash the game when we face 30x30 in wvw. Was this the optimization that the company did to improve our experience? 8 years of game, thousands of gems consumed and apparently all that remains is to find another game to have fun, because the fun has become stress. I just face this problem in WVW, nor in worldboss I have this type of lag or crash in other game mode i got 105ms/120ms. > > Regarding performance, it's funny to remember that in DAoC, you often had slideshows (1 frame every few seconds (Seconds Per Frame) ) and had to look at the floor or face away from the fights to be able to move. > But... that was twenty years ago. You'd expect this game to be much better and, in fairness, it is. 10 fps is pretty good. 20 years ago? Show me a similar MMO today that can have ~150-200 players fighting on screen at once without slowing to a crawl. WoW is probably the funniest examples with its DX12 upgraded engine. It completely falls apart under pressure lol.

Expecting in the sense of "demanding" since Cantha was probably the single most impactful addition to Guild Wars 1. It introduced us to Luxon and Kurzick as PvP factions and for new modes there was Fort Aspenwood, Jade Quarry AND Alliance Battles... If Anet doesn't do anything for sPvP with EoD I'm deeply, deeply disappointed ngl. This would be their best chance to revitalize sPvP, if they miss it... idk... I actually still have _some_ hopes left for sPvP being improved so GW2 will not fail miserably with the steam launch. Even if it's just that, I'd be kinda happy tbh. > > > > > > If this means open world PvP i'm all over this! (not WvW, that gets stale quite quickly imo) Nothing is more fun than having PvEvP content, having to watch your back for a ganker. I do hope they will make areas of PvEvP in EoD. > > Nah, like I said: more sPvP modes. I'm like 99.99999999% sure that open world pvp will NEVER come to gw2. First of all since it doesn't fit GW2 in general when you consider that everything's targeted at casuals and that gw2 is meant for dumb, casual fun every 3 months or so when something new comes out (I don't like it either but apparently that's how Anet envisions their product to be idk). > Secondly it just falls out of favor in general, probably due to the increasing focus on casuals in pretty much every game.. Those are just the people who will play everything that the devs produce, will not criticize anything because it doesn't matter to them anyway but will pay everything you throw into the cash shop. > Even games that heavily focused on that don't fully commit to it anymore. BDO shifted their karma system and how xp loss works a bit to discourage PK'ing (which imho makes the entire system pretty dumb but ok) or even New World which was designed to have a hardcore open world pvp system made pretty much a 180 last year before it even came out. Now Amazon Games isn't particularly known for making the best decisions when it comes to game design so take it for what it's worth. > > And to be perfectly honest I don't want it either.. At least I personally hate open world pvp.. I know a few people think that's the best pvp content ever but I personally don't see it as either pvp nor content. Of course it's "technically" PvP since two players "fight" against each other but...... only with a HUGE asterisk. Open World PvP imho only favors the guys who think stomping noobs who can't do kitten against them is fun. And if I want some braindead pve stuff to do then I don't want to worry about someone ganking me since I'm not geared nor skilled for that (aka my build is picked to be efficient in PvE, not PvP) and it's just unfair, even if you have the same level and stuff. > I vastly prefer doing pvp but I want to on the same playing field as my opponents and win by just being better as a player, not by being better built for the situation. Because as a concept, open world PvP fails hard. People want open PvP - except when they dont want open PvP, then its *heavily* penalized. It makes zero sense to make open PvP the focus of a game and then punish you for focusing on it. Rules and regulations will just make people... stop. The only reason WvW remains 7 years after release is that we can do whatever the fuck we want in there - an enemy is an enemy. I do think that they *could* integrate WvW in the open world (which isnt the same as open world PvP), but it would require a far more complex map system and in particular, map design. I can imagine a system where you have like... 20 maps in the open world. 4 of them for the week is reserved for WvW, 1 "castle/city" (eqvivalent to EB) and 3 "borders" (some of the surrounding maps). It would work exactly like it works now otherwise with 3 servers joining to fight in their tier. But you cant PvE there that week because it's a battlefield. Based on the winner, there would be PvE changes for that particular server for their "city" instance (unique traders, banners, whatever). Then the next week the location shifts somewhere else. But designing practically all the maps in the game so that they are PvE maps capable of shifting to WvW mode is something that I think is far beyond Anet. I dont even see it happening for a potential GW3. It would be neat seeing castles, keeps and towers in the "real world" though. In the current GW2 world, the zones are actually pretty bland. But I mean they still cant fix the 3x3x5m wall section on T3 desert garrison...

Great idea my friend. > > > > > > The end for core story was story mode of the dungeon Arah, players dident like that they all of a sudden had to group to finish story so I doubt Anet will make that mistake again. > > > > I remember the last core story boss fight is a single player content, and i can remember the horrible fight with zaithan where u just press one key on the cannon to damage and kill him, and who in the world would prefer this horrible content to a strike mission where u have a real epic fight against zaithan? > > > > People didn't like to play arah story mode as "final chapter"(i can't remember that but it was in 2013, so might be my memory -404 memory not found). > > People don't like a lot of contents in gw2 but yet we have it. And i suppose you are saying that anet wont do this while you would like it, am I right? > > > > They changed it at release it was a 5 man dungeon instance. > Yes there was alot of complaints that their story ended with a party instance. Mostly because it was a shitty ending. Having multiple "commanders" didnt even make sense in your own story finale.

The only reason why healing Scrapper is still a thing in WvW is because of PoP. You nerf that to the ground (knowing ANet always throw out high handed nerfs) and with Tempest 10 allies buff taken away in WvW too, all we have left in WvW is FBs as support. The King of support will soon be God. > > If they nerf it, it would be a rare sensible balance change in a while. PoP is OP - slap a cooldown on it or smth. This will make more room for tempests / shout wars that have good cleansing and heal, and offer utility on top of it. Of course they are going to nerf it. Because Purity Of Purpose. Lets just ignore the fact that the *scrapper* is the meta. Not core (or holo).
  23. > @"Swagg.9236" said: > The hallmark of skill in GW2 PvP is basic literacy or having a duo-spam partner. You'd never get any sort of decent game by "consulting the best" because the players in GW2 PvP who hit high-plat/top 250 only know how to follow a flow. They don't push themselves; they're all stuck in the same ivory tower worshipping the act of number tweaking rather than having creative thoughts. ... So it should only be the top 2 players then?

That's how fast it was. > > > > Anet has done a kitten poor job at explaining challenge modes though (the private DRMs and you have to activate each option). I did the jungle one (caithe whatever) with mobs+boss hp solo on my reaper. It was a slog but doable. I think the boss went down faster than some 5 man publics I've ran (the mobs was actually the only ones that managed to kill me once because I was careless). > > > > Some of them also require at least a moderate amount of thought for the specific encounter, its not just regular old champions. Forge is the perfect example. That reaper build I can roflstomp enemies with 15K perma-quickness autoattacks? Burns hurt bruh. That fight can quickly turn into just staying alive with constantly low hp and the threat of dying as soon as something sneeze on you, severly reducing your effectivness. In comparison running in there with my all gyro chronowell scrapper is face-tanking childsplay because I probably cleanse enough conditions for a 50 man zerg with all the combos. Doesnt have quite the same punch as the reaper, but right there far, far more effective for the entire group. > > You are quoting someone from November. Haha since the thread had like 3 replies I assumed it was new, looking at the date for this small a thread never even occured to me.
